Chapter 108 Epilogue

Chapter 108 Epilogue
NADIA

Four months later...

"Dean!" I exclaimed, moaning to my husband between my thighs, who was giving me yet another delicious orgasm.

"Satisfied now?" Dean moved away from between my legs and smiled.

"For now, yes," I replied, gazing at her with desire.

I was nine months pregnant now, and the baby could be born at any moment, but that didn't stop me from continuing to ask my husband to satisfy me; after all, my hormones were still raging.

"I need to go to the bathroom," I said, getting up, but before I reached the door, I felt a warm liquid running down my legs.

"Damn it, I pee in my pants," I muttered angrily.

"Now all that's left is for me to have to wear pants."

Dean looked at me confused, and as soon as he saw the liquid on the floor, his eyes widened.

"That's not pee, Nadia," he said nervously.

"Your water broke."

"Oh my God!" I exclaimed in distress.

"What now?"

"Now we're going to the hospital," he said, moving closer to me so I could lean on him.

And as soon as we got in the car, Dean cursed.

"Damn, I forgot the baby's bag," he said nervously.

"Wait here, I'll be right back."

He ran inside the house, and I stayed in the car when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.

"Shit!" I cursed, feeling contractions, and then another one came, accompanied by even more pain.

"Dean, hurry up!"

He heard my scream, and a few seconds later he got into the car with the baby's backpack and started the engine, speeding towards the hospital.

"Take a deep breath, my angel," Dean said, hearing my groans of pain, followed by random curses.

"It's no use, damn it!" I yelled, taking a deep breath.

"It hurts so much!"

Dean continued speeding through the streets of New York, and as we arrived at the hospital, just as he had asked me to lean on him, I felt another contraction and let out another cry of pain.

We entered the hospital while I was making my own little scene, and before my mind could process it, I was already sitting in a wheelchair, being pushed by some nurse towards the delivery room.

"Take a deep breath, Mrs. Hartford," the nurse said, making me roll my eyes.

It's easy to say, she's not the one in excruciating pain.

When I entered the delivery room, they undressed me and dressed me in some green cloth, and laid me on a stretcher, where they kept telling me to breathe deeply, only this time they told me to push.

"What?!" I yelled in frustration.

"At this rate, I'm going to tear myself in two."

"That's not going to happen, Mrs. Hartford, don't worry," the doctor said between my legs.

"Just breathe deeply and put all your strength below your waist."

My eyes widened in fear that I wouldn't be able to handle it, and I even thought about asking for a C-section, but as soon as I felt a squeeze on my hand and saw that it was Dean by my side, I felt an extraordinary relief.

"I'm here, my angel," he said, caressing my hand.

"We'll bring our son together."

I smiled, feeling a surge of willpower take over my body, and as soon as the next contraction came, I pushed with all my might, and so it went, one after another.

Push, breathe deeply, scream in pain, push, breathe deeply...

When I let out another scream of pain, it was followed by a suffering cry, and looking down at my belly, I saw my beautiful baby in the nurse's hands, who looked at me and asked:

Do you want to hold your son, Mrs. Hartford?

I said, visibly emotional, and she handed me the fragile being, who only stopped crying when she felt the warmth of my arms.

"Hello, my little angel." I stroked his cheek.

"Look here, my love," I said, showing him to Dean.

"He looks just like you."

Dean smiled as he looked at the black hair and the beautiful blue eyes that had opened and were now surveying the unfamiliar place.

"Do you want to hold him?" I asked him.

"May I?" he asked, and I nodded.

Then Dean gently took our baby from my arms and held him as if he were a fragile crystal.

As I observed the beautiful scene before me, I saw Dean's eyes shine with pride and a great deal of love, and to my surprise and admiration, several tears began to stream down his face.

"He's so handsome," Dean murmured, excitedly.

"Yes, he is." I agreed and smiled.

"Excuse me," the nurse said, drawing our attention.

"I know you're all doting on your handsome son, but now I need to take him to the incubator; he'll be ready to nurse soon."

She approached Dean and asked for permission before taking our baby and placing him in the incubator.

"Do you think he weighs enough for us to take him home?" I asked Dean

"I don't want him to stay in the hospital."

"Of course, my angel," Dean smiled.

"Did you see how chubby he is?"

I agreed, remembering his round, red cheeks.

"What name will we give him?" I asked thoughtfully.

"What about Gabriel?" Dean raised an eyebrow.

"Why Gabriel?" I asked.

"Because he's an angel?"

Dean stated.

"No, I want a name with a different meaning," I said, thinking of some names from my mother's diary.

"Hmm..." I murmured, mentally flipping through the options.

"How about Anthony?"

"And what does it mean?" Dean asked, curious.

It means "very valuable," at least that's what I read in my mother's book. – I smiled.

"Anthony," Dean said, testing the name.

"There you go, I like it."

"Anthony Hartford," I said proudly.

"Our priceless treasure."

Dean was visibly pleased with the choice, so much so that he gave me a quick kiss and murmured Anthony a few more times, each time showing even more love for the name.

"I'm so happy," I murmured, feeling my eyes fill with tears.

"Me too, my angel." Dean came closer to me and gave me a quick kiss.

"Now we're a family, and I'm sure we'll be great parents."

Yes. – I agreed. – But I have a question.

"And what is it?" Lucas asked.

"Do you happen to know how to change a diaper?" I asked.

No and you?

"No,." I closed my eyes in concern.

"I see we have a lot to learn."

"We will," Dean agreed seriously.

"Nothing a test drive can't fix."

I smiled, finding the comparison amusing, and gently stroked his hand.

"You know I love you, right?" I asked, looking into her beautiful blue eyes.

"Of course I know," he smiled.

"And I love you too."

Repeat that. – I closed my eyes and smiled.

"What? That I love you?" he asked.

"Uh-huh," I said eagerly.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you," Dean repeated several times, and I smiled contentedly.

Now you've convinced me.

We continued flirting for several minutes, when the nurse entered the room holding our son.

"The baby wants to suck," she said sweetly.

"Okay." I smiled, and she came closer and placed him in my arms.

Then I took my right breast out of the green cloth and started breastfeeding my baby.

He was greedy and took long sucks, as if he were starving, and that only made me smile with satisfaction at being able to feed my son with my own milk.

"He's really hungry, isn't he?" Dean murmured, observing the scene.

"Yes, it is," I said, stroking my little one's black hair.

"Will there be a little left for me?" Dean raised an eyebrow, and I smiled.

"No, now it's all his," I said, trying to stay serious, but I couldn't started laughing.

"That's my son, I see that now I'll have to share Mom with you," Dean said, talking to Antony as if I wasn't there.

"But be aware that tonight she'll be all mine."

I laughed at Dean's fake jealousy; after all, I knew he was joking, because all you had to do was look into his eyes and see the joy of being a father for the first time.

And it looks like there will be many mini-Deans in the future, and maybe even a mini-Nadia

Who knows, maybe in a year?

We'll see about that later; for now, I just want to enjoy this beautiful moment of having my son in my arms and the love of my life by my side.

Having said that, I can affirm that my happiness is complete.
