Chapter 148: Vault

Lucas and Grace arrived home

“I hope you have a plan, Lucas?, that information is not enough because we don't know what Charleston told Mrs. Silver, "she told him.

“Duke is on that,” He told her, Jason hurried downstairs.

“Jay, uhm-, Jason I mean- Grace stuttered

“Where is Sarah?”She asked.

“I don't know, the last time we spoke, she said she got a call from one of her friends; now she's gone”, Jason explained as he helped Emily, who stepped out down the stairs.

“Go and get change, I will call her,” Lucas told Grace.

He hurried outside, smiled at the way his men patrolled around the compound, walked towards the gate, and just then, Ramaone and Mr Ethan arrived; they wanted to discuss with Lucas and Grace.

“Uncle, Mr. Ethan, please, now is not the time. I'm very busy, and Grace is stressed out. She needs rest”, Lucas told them.

“But you both can go inside and have a drink from the bar”, Lucas added. His phone rang, and he answered and excused himself.

Lucas signalled Rodrigo to get the car ready and headed towards the four club's organization. They got there and met Duke there waiting to welcome him in, their men stood guard outside while Duke took Lucas into the organization.

“I haven't been here since my company got into a situation”, Lucas uttered, and Duke smiled; he led to where he tied up Charlestown.

“I say we kill this backstabber immediately”

Duke suggested and loaded his gun, he pointed it towards Charleston and Lucas chuckled and held the gun in Duke's hand.

“No, Duke, he might be useful to me in the court” " he uttered, grinning at Charlestown.

“The both of you killed Ashley; I will make sure to testify to the court”, Charleston snapped.

“How did I even get involved? I understand all these it's my sister who borrowed money from you that brought about all these insults” Lucas snapped back slightly annoyed, Duke stepped forward,

“I did not kill Ashley, Charleston, and you, of all people, know that; it's so surprising how you've kept this secret up till now”, Duke uttered; Lucas chuckled. He was lost but he loved the fact that Charleston was involved in Ashley Cole's death.

“I have nothing to do with-

“With Ashley, yes, you can keep telling yourself that, but I have got the footage of that night; it's just that we all keep secrets, right?”

Duke uttered, Lucas smiled.

“Are you ready to see the vault double C”

Lucas smirked.

“So it's clear Duke has Charleston Charles, but why are you telling us this” Mrs Silver asked Sarah and she smiled

“Nothing i thought I could make it up to Micheal by giving out this piece of information-

Micheal dragged her by her throat and held her still

“Stay away from me, or else you want to end up like your father; you choose Lucas; you stay with Lucas”, Micheal uttered and pushed her away. Sarah staggered and fell, bruising herself; she got up and smirked.

“Alright, Michael”, She intoned and left.

Arriving home she met Grace waiting for her at the front door

“Sarah, why did you leave without any security? you know we are all in danger; do you want to give me a heart attack?”She asked as she hugged her tight and led her inside.

Mr. Ethan and Ramone were still at the house but they couldn't wait for Lucas any longer, so they left. After seeing them off, Grace came back inside and sat next to Sarah

“Jason said you went to see a friend, how did it go?”She asked.

“The friend I went to see was Micheal, I wanted to know if it was possible to be friends again so we would know their plans ahead but he is less interested, he told me off so I left-

“That was a good but dangerous step to take Sarah-

“He even warned me to avoid ending up like my father” She chuckled and stopped.

“Well, jokes on him whether he wants me there or not. I successfully planted cameras everywhere, both in the hospital where Mr. Victor is at their house and the attorney's, too.”She added, staring at Grace, Grace smiled and hugged her.

“We have lots of security men now; at least go with one next time”, Grace advised.

Lucas laughed hysterically at the sight of the amount of money he had from the four-club

“I guess all those parties were not in vain; hmm, we should send Ashley's share to her husband; what do you say, Duke?”Lucas asked and Duke agreed with him.

“Look at this; how much do you have, Lucas?”

Duke asked, Lucas smiled and placed his index finger on his lips.

“Alright”

Duke laughed and they finally opened Charleston's vault, they calculated it with the inbuilt money calculator on the vault

“Fucking 900 billion dollars!”Lucas screamed and shook Charlestown.

“How come you still wanted to be under the GFH? I mean, how much more could that corrupt headquarters offer?”Lucas uttered, and he broke into a terrible laughter with Duke. Suddenly, Duke's phone rang and he answered it

“What!”He uttered and ended the call

“Quickly, lock Charleston in here-

He told the man outside as he dragged Lucas with him

“Engage the security system, and cut off the signals, I will head out with Lucas now”

Duke told the man. He nodded, locked the vault room with Charleston in it and headed to the security unit

“What's going on Duke?”Lucas, who was still lost, asked.

“The FBI is heading here,” He told Lucas.

Together they hurried off, got into their car and headed to Lucas's mansion. Lucas quickly switched on the signal in his car as they switched off the four club's signal, he picked up his phone and called Grace

“fuck”

She uttered, she uttered as soon as she picked up the call

“Be careful, Lucas; they might open fire if you both decide to escape, so drive slowly to the house”, Grace advised.
