Chapter 146: Counterattack

Lucas was thrown into a rage; he didn't know who was doing this to him, but he was so sure that Micheal had a hand in it. Immediately, they called him to come to the hospital; he pleaded with Grace to go while he saw Duke for something.

After Grace left, Lucas brought out his dagger and wiped off the dust on it, he recalled what he bought the dagger for and shut his eyes tight

“I guess I will use it against the people that wanted to hurt her”, He uttered, picked up his phone, and called Ramone.

He inquired if Mr. Victor and Micheal were at home, Ramone told him he was certain about Mr. Victor but not Micheal. With that, Lucas took a face mask, loaded his gun and placed it on his waist. He wore his hand gloves and headed out leaving the house under Rodrigo, Carl and Sarah's care.

He drove with speed towards Mr. Victor's house. When he arrived he parked at a very good distance away from the house. He wined down his window and watched what was going on from there. He saw Micheal furiously storm out of the house, he remained in the car till Micheal's car drove off.

Lucas got out of the car and hurried across the road into the house; he opened the house and saw nobody inside. He quietly tiptoed to Mr Victor's door and opened it, but he wasn't there. He turned, and immediately Mr Victor attacked him, he pushed him away from himself.

Mr Victor tried everything possible to uncover the mask and see who was attacking him, then suddenly he felt a sharp pain right on the spot where he was shot he fell on his knees and groaned in pain, looking up he didn't see the person again. he was bleeding profusely and couldn't move, he took a piece of cloth laying on the floor and tied up the wound although it wasn't tight. He reached for his phone and called Micheal.

Lucas drove home and got into the bathroom to have a bath. After bathing, he took the clothes he had worn earlier and threw them into the fireplace in the living room. As he was going upstairs he met Sarah

“I was coming from your study; Carl told me you've returned; how is Emily?”She asked, staring at him.

“I haven't gone to the hospital yet” He uttered and walked off to prepare for the hospital. Sarah shook their head and hurried downstairs.

At the hospital, Jason backed Lucas up that Micheal had a hand in the stabbing of Emily just like they did Grace. Meanwhile, Micheal was furious. He had rushed Mr. Victor to Dr. Richardson, but he refused to treat Mr. Victor; he demanded they release his wife first.

“Treat him first!”Micheal yelled

“I'm sorry Micheal but I will have to refuse that-

“I will unalive your wife-

“Go ahead then, but if you kill her consider your father dead too” Mr. Richardson stood his ground. Micheal changed from being furious to rage, He dragged the doctor's head and pinned it against the table in the room.

“Fucking treat my old man!”He yelled again, but Dr. Richardson was adamant, letting him go; Micheal made a call. After a few minutes, Dr. Richardson's wife arrived with a man holding her. Micheal insisted he do the operation before he could touch his wife, and he immediately started treating Mr Victor.

Since Lucas arrived at the hospital, Grace has been staring at him, she knew he had done something as he kept on rubbing his palms and he was cold.

“Lucas”, She called, and he looked at her.

“Who did you shoot Lucas?”She asked him, staring sternly at him.

“Stab, you mean, My father?”He replied simply; Grace was surprised, and Jason chuckled.

“Why did you do that?”She asked.

“Because, Grace, I wanted to teach Micheal that whoever hurts someone close to me is hurting someone close to them, too,” He uttered; Grace took a deep breath and continued staring at him.

“What if he wasn't the one, what if it's the same person that stabbed me?”

She asked, and Lucas threw his face away; she sighed and leaned backwards.

Micheal hurried to the G. R.A the next day, he barged into the living room and met Mrs. Silver having a drink with the general

“Are you drinking while my father is in the hospital? is that how it is?”He snapped

“Calm down Micheal, what happened? I had no idea, Mr Vic-what happened to him?”

Mrs. Silver asked, standing up and helping him to sit l.

“I am suspecting you, General John, you've been a little distance from us, and when such happens, you have something up your sleeves” Micheal glared at him.

“What happened to Lucas and Grace? Why do you think it's me!”John yelled

“Because, in general, Lucas is in the hospital because my sister was stabbed; whoever is doing this is trying to end the Hudson family one way or the other!!”Micheal yelled and Mrs. Silver held him.

“I am suspecting Duke for all we know. He is a dangerous man to mess with, so tell someone to keep an eye on him; how is that?”She stared at him, and Micheal raised his eyebrows.

“True, you might be right-

He turned to the general

“Pray it doesn't turn out to be you, ask about the last general and how it ended for her”

Micheal told the general with a stern stare.

Charleston, on the other hand, was packing up his stuff to flee New York; the moment he heard that Grace got both Duke and Lucas released, he panicked. He promised himself that if he fled successfully his coming back would be heavy on Lucas and Duke, especially the fact that he was about to flee without collecting his share in the four clubs.

But Charleston was wrong about fleeing right on his way to the airport his convoy took a turn and headed back into the city, he tried to raise his voice but the man sitting next to him pulled out his firearm

“I'm sorry, boss” " he uttered and hit Charleston on his head, causing him to pass out.
