Chapter 143:Blood Type
The traffic cleared soon after the accident. Dr. Cooper arrived in time with an ambulance and Grace was rushed to the hospital. She was rushed to the emergency room 1 and Lucas was left pacing up and down.
Emily and Sarah arrived later that night after Lucas informed them of the accident
“Where is she?”Emily asked.
“Still in the emergency room,” Lucas replied dryly.
He sat down with his hands shaking, and Sarah sat next to him. After some minutes, Dr. Cooper came out from the emergency room and Lucas stood up in a haste.
“How is she?”He asked Dr. Cooper holding his hands.
“She lost a lot of blood. We need someone to donate blood, can you? She is negative”
Dr. Cooper uttered, Lucas rubbed his head in frustration.
“I'm a positive doctor-
He turned and stared at Emily and Sarah and they shook their head
“Fuck!- Lucas screamed
“Emily, quickly call Mr Ethan. Sarah, take my phone call. Rodrigo, tell him to rush to Mr Ethan's house and bring him here”, Lucas instructed.
Meanwhile, Micheal and Mr Victor were lucky to find someone who took them to Dr Richardson's hospital; fortunately for them; the bullet got Micheal on his leg while the bullet got Mr Victor on his arm so close to his chest.
Jason rushed to the hospital the minute Sarah informed him about Grace's incident. Lucas glared at him when he entered the hospital. He took one step forward, and Lucas stood up and pushed him.
“You have lots of gut coming in here when you are the reason she might die any minute-
He was interrupted by the arrival of Mr. Ethan, Ramone and Gabriel, he glared at Jason and turned to Mr. Ethan.
“She's negative, and she's losing lots of blood; we need a negative blood type,”, Lucas told Mr Ethan.
“I'm positive Lucas but I know someone who might be negative-
“Well who is the person we need to hurry”
Lucas uttered impatiently.
“Gabriel, he can give her blood-
“Dr. Cooper, Dr. Cooper!”Lucas called; he told him they got a negative, and they quickly started the blood transfusion.

The next day, Kelsey sat down in her office to get all the files needed for the case together, Suddenly, her secretary rushed inside her office
“Mrs. Silver is here”, She informed Kelsey. Kelsey was shocked, annoyed and angry.
“What guts” She murmured as her door opened and Mrs. Silver stepped in
“I finally meet you, Kelsey,” she uttered as she stepped in.
“Mmm, I was hoping we wouldn't cross each other's path until the court day”, Kelsey snapped and offered her a seat.
“Now, how may I help you, ma'am?”She added when Mrs Silver sat down. She smiled, dug her hand inside her bag, brought out a paper and tapped on it.
“This is from the GFH, I'm sure you know Duke Martin and many other popular firm owners, but there's no way you can win this case without your client's company signed under the GF-
“Pause it, so you came from the G.R.A. to convince me to get my client signed under that corrupt GFH?”Kelsey asked.
“Every business is corrupt Kelsey, you know things might get complicated in the court with all the witnesses I have, on a normal I won't be here but you are a young lawyer and I don't want to be hard on-
“Leave my office, Mrs. Silver, my client has zero interest in signing under the GFH-
“Is he even in any position to tell you what to do to win this case, he hasn't even paid you-
Kelsey chuckled
“I don't know how that information got to you, but I need you to mind your business; why the fuck are you even helping me win this case?”
Kelsey asked. Mrs. Silver opened her mouth to speak, and she raised her hand to stop her.
“Just leave Mrs Silver,” She told her. Mrs. Silver stood up and adjusted her suit.
“I tried telling you” She uttered and left the office.
Grace opened her eyes slowly, she saw Lucas sitting next to her and holding her hands. She looked around and saw Emily and Ramone, she smiled weakly at them and her gaze fell on Lucas.
“How do you feel?”Lucas asked.
“Good but it hurts-
She grunted and turned, then she saw Gabriel lying on the bed next to her, she turned to Lucas
“He was the only negative around”, Lucas told her, and Grace smiled as she stared at Gabriel.

Mrs. Silver made Duke and Charleston write a statement against Lucas; she stayed back at Charleston, hoping to get more information about the business he had with Duke, Lucas and the late Ashley Cole.
“I'm sorry Mrs. Silver but that is my business”
He told her but Mrs. Silver was persistent.
“I just want to know all about the friendship, is it a club or what?”She asked, Charleston adjusted uneasily when she mentioned club and Mrs. Silver was quick to observe that.

“You do know that it wasn't Jason that stabbed Grace right?” Sarah uttered rhetorically to Lucas, he chuckled.
“Don't let him deceive you; he did it; who else would do it?”Lucas snapped, annoyed that she was siding with Jason.
“Jason was at home when it happened”, Sarah uttered, and Lucas raised his head and stared at her.
“That reminds me, did you get the job done?”
He asked, and Sarah nodded; Lucas smiled.
“Thank you, and as for Jason, he has to prove he has no hand in this”, Lucas snapped.
Just then, Jason arrived with Emily; Lucas glared at him, not wanting to react because of Emily; he didn't even trust his sister immediately when they entered Grace's room. He rushed inside to stay with them. Jason sat down next to Grace.
“I swear, Grace, I didn't do it; I didn't stab you. I was still at the bar contemplating”, He explained, and Grace smiled.
“So if you didn't stab her then who did?”
Lucas asked.
