ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THREE

**Alpha Luggard's POV

I stood at the edge of the mountains thinking of the deal I just made with the devil.

I am the first person in a line time that has made a deal with the devil. And I am fully aware of the consequences. But is this the right path to take to reclaim what was stolen from unjustly? Am I making a big mistake?

I pondered on the decisions I've taken to reclaim my throne that was stolen from. And immediately I heard a loud husky voice in my head that gave me an instant headache.

"You made the right decision my boy! You and I will take what rightfully belongs to us. So don't think too much about it, there is no going back!" The voice said while fell to the pain of the headache.

So he also hears my thoughts.

"Of course, I hear everything. I'm in your head." The voice said.

At this point I knew I'm in a big mess. I can't control my thought process anymore. I don't even have privacy in my head anymore.

"Listen alpha Luggard, don't be afraid. Me listening to your thoughts is an advantage. See it that way, I'll be here to help in your thoughts, because I'm all-knowing and all-seeing. All your problems will be solved with me." The voice said as it laughed devilishly, causing more discomforting pain in my head.

"I never knew this was part of the deal. You didn't mention that, I thought you're just going to gimme powers." I said to him in my head.

"didn't Xavier tell you what I want in return? Don't you know what I want in return?" The voice in my head asked.

"I know, I was told all you want from me be Xavier and the witches. But being in my head wasn't part of what you want." I replied him.

"of course, being in your head is part of the deal. You just didn't know. How else would I see you achieve my biddings if I'm not in your head." The voice said.

"We've talked too much for today. Let's get work. You have to get the majority clans to be in your side, the minority clans won't really do much. You need to get the trust of your previous allies back." The voice said.

And of course, he was right. I've been trying to go the same route Neil used but, the majority clans still has more powers than the minority clans.

Later that evening, I met up with Silva and other packmates. We convened to discuss about the next steps to be taken to reclaim the throne.

"I've spoken to all the clan heads at the south. They all gave me their words that they're ready to work with anyone who would put their interest at heart at Neil have finally forgotten about them." Reed said. Reed is one of my advisors and very diligent in his work.

And I never expected Reed to work with someone like with me. I can't deny, I know on a malicious path to reclaim what was stolen from me, and Reed is one who is so diligent to be working for me. I'm also not shocked that he was able to convince all the minority clans at the south to work for me, it was totally expected is him.

"I also had a very tricky deal with all the minority clans close to the manos forest. And they accepted my deal to work with you." Rover said.

Rover is very cunning and deceitful, he has a way of entering the heads of his prey.

"What have you told them this time? Rover." I asked him.

"I said to them, to be a significant clan under your rule, they have to help us in battle against Neil's men. I also told them, the more effort each clan put the more reward they get, and as high as being part of your royal subjects and deciding affairs is this realm." I explained.

"Just like that, and they believed you?" I asked him.

"Of course not. I had to put my life on the line, I also swore with my blood that if this doesn't come to pass they have every right to kill me as you have given orders punish deceitful packmates." He further explained.

"Hmm interesting!" I replied in amazement.

"You know, subjected to poverty, oppression, and abandonment for years, these minority clans can do anything that looks real to alleviate their condition. And trust me, I pleaded with them as though I was part of them in their suffering." Rover said.

"But their is one more problem sir... " Rover mentioned.

"What's it?" I asked him.

"They plan on killing you if you don't succeed in reclaiming the throne. That's because they went against alpha Neil and they feel he would come for them only if they can help themselves by giving your head to him. So, my alpha alpha Luggard, you must not fail. That's their words to you." Rover explained.

"Failing is not an option. And more importantly, that's not a consideration for me, I'm not afraid of them or anyone. The important thing here is my throne for myself and not for any stupid deal you had Rover." I explained confidently to him.

"Silva any reports from you?" I asked Silva.

"No sir, you requested I laid low after the last incidence." He replied.

"Laying low doesn't mean complacency, Silva. Do something while laying low, that's what I meant." I scolded Silva.

Silva has been so lackadaisical about everything especially after getting involved with that older woman who's related to Neil's wife, Lily or whatever is her name. I know he has been in an abominable relationship with her but that's not my business. I just want him to focus on his work.

"Well, going forward. Now that we've a lot of minority clans on our side. We're shifting focus on the majority, I mean those who were formerly my allies. And then also infiltrate the allies of Neil." I instructed them.

"I don't know how you're going to do it. From today, I want y'all to get the majority clans on my side, play dirty, have risky deals, do whatever, I'm capable of fulfilling whatever they want. Because my time is new, I mean my victory is so near and I can smell it." I instructed authoritatively.
