Chapter 194 Shameless Is What You Are

Chapter 194 Shameless Is What You Are
SANCIA

Heaven!

That's what it feels like to just lie down on the beach without the chaos of the mafia life. There were no guards breathing down my neck, no phones ringing, no men speaking in hushed voices about the next threat.

There’s only me, and the gentle sound of waves rolling against the shore and the warm evening breeze brushing against my bare skin.

Technically, I'm not alone. Lorenzo and a few of our guards are here. But Lorenzo promised me it would be like they weren't here at all. They won't show themselves until they are needed.

Talking about Diavolo, he'd sent me away because he's busy with work, even though he'd promised me there won't be any work interrupting our little vacation.

And yet here I was, alone sunbathing while he was back at the two-story beach house doing paperwork or whatever.

Okay, I know how this sounded. Earlier, when we arrived, I was really excited because it's the first time we've been on vacation or a leisure trip together since we admitted our feelings.

And I love that we're here on his private island again, yay! Because what self-respecting Mafia Don doesn't have his own island, duh.

I love, love the little villa; I love the turquoise-blue water of our island and everything really.

It's just that this was supposed to be our first date. I thought Lorenzo and I would have a little private lunch for two, then maybe take a walk on the beach, maybe do some skinny dipping, and finally make love in the water.

All those tiny mundane things couples do together.

Ugh! I groaned, getting up. It's time I snapped out of my daydreaming and got back to the villa. I rolled the little blanket and tucked it into the basket Lorenzo had handed me before sending me away.

If you think about it, it's kinda sweet of him to prepare everything I might need in the basket for my one-person beach picnic.

I started toward the villa, my feet bare, soft, grainy white sand sifting between my toes, my shoes dangling from one hand and my basket in the other.

It was already late in the evening; the sun had already set, turning the grey sky into a golden orange hue tinged with pink on the horizon. It's a beautiful sight.

It's been three weeks since Antonio's death, and two since Lorenzo was discharged from the hospital. Mama is still in the hospital getting the care she deserves.

We talked yesterday before we left for the island; she's healing and doing better than she was. She's happier than I'd seen in a long while.

Sergio is busy with his new role as an independent Capo of Vincenzo's famiglia, with Leonardo as his Consigliere.

Zetta, Giulia and Dario are back in London, where we'll meet them after our little trip is over. Lorenzo gave me the choice of where we will live as a family, and I chose London for three reasons.

Firstly, because Dario needed a different environment after all the trauma and chaos he'd witnessed, my baby needed a place where he felt safe, and what better place than our mansion in London.

Secondly, because I needed to finish school, and lastly, Villa Marchetti needed renovation after the bomb explosion, although it wasn't that bad.

As for Isabella, she left two days ago after she was discharged from the hospital. After Mama, all sat us down in her hospital room and told us the truth about Isabella’s birth circumstances.

Papa and Mama were engaged when Isabella’s biological father raped Mama. Papa never blamed Mama for that; he killed the man and accepted Isabella as his.

Only a few people knew the truth; Marcello was one of them. Antonio had learned the truth from his father and used it to manipulate Isabella.

It was easier for him to manipulate her because she was already drowning in resentment and her own inferiority complex. I understood her even if I hated her.

I'd been so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed the soft, beautiful violin music playing. My eyes widened as I noticed the string lights above my head. I looked down, and flower petals and lamps were guiding my way.

I turned in circles, my heart pounding with excitement and joy. And then I saw him.
Lorenzo stood on the porch, looking utterly breathtaking in black pants and a crisp white button-down shirt, his sleeves rolled up, baring his arms.

New diamond studs adorned his ears. He'd shaved his head even lower than it already was this morning, and he'd also shaved his face clean.

My heart tripped on itself doing its familiar staccato. He took slow steps towards me, covering the short distance between us.

“You're late,” he growled, taking the basket and shoes from my hands. “You have ten minutes to get ready for our first date.”

“Our date?” I smiled, staring at the string lights, lamps, and flowers leading all the way to the back of the villa. “Did you do all this?”

“Nine minutes and fifty-five seconds,” he deadpanned.

“I'm going, I'm going,” I said, laughing as I hurried inside the house. I wash my hair and take a quick shower; there's no time to blow-dry it, so I towel-dry it and leave the rest to fate.

I take a moment to appreciate the turquoise satin and lace sleeveless dress Lorenzo had left on my bed; it's gorgeous, simple but elegant. And when I wore it, it fit perfectly, hugging me in all the right places.

I put on the matching low heels I found, then I hurried out of the house. I had already surpassed the time allotted to me.

But Diavolo will have to wait. I slowed down as I neared the back. I took my time to appreciate the beautiful scenery, lest I waste my man's effort. Everything was so beautiful: the music, the weather, the beautiful sunset.

My husband.

Lorenzo stood beside a rectangular table set beneath the open sky, right between two flower arches. I walked closer until I stood on the opposite side of the table.

For a moment, I just stared at him, feeling the heat pool between my thighs; he's so damn gorgeous.

The table between us was covered with a white cloth, candles flickering in glass holders, and a flower vase filled with roses. A bottle of champagne sat chilling in an ice bucket.

The violin began again, the music beautiful and at the same time heart-wrenching, and yet it's the most beautiful music I've ever heard. It wasn’t anything I’d heard before.

Lorenzo rounded the table and pulled out the chair for me. “You look beautiful,” he whispered, kissing my ear just as I sat down, and was gone before I could do anything. My stomach fluttered wildly as he sat down.

“This is beautiful,” I said, swallowing.

“Do you like it?” he asked. “I didn't know if you'd like it. There are so many suggestions about a formal first date on the internet; it was hard deciding in case you ended up not liking it.”

“I love it,” I admitted.

It was the first time I'd seen Lorenzo nervous over something, and knowing he spent time searching the internet to make our first date perfect made me all warm and fluttery inside.

“You googled how to be romantic too,” I teased, laughing.

“Shut it, smart-ass, or I'll be dining alone,” he warned; his eyes, though, were heated with that wicked glint. I mimicked zipping my lips and throwing the keys, even as my clit gave an answering pulse to his threat.

Still grinning, Lorenzo uncorks the champagne and pours it into two glasses; he passes me one before he settles back down.

“So what are your hobbies?” I asked, sipping my champagne. His eyes gleamed with amusement as he leaned back a little.

“I don't have many hobbies, but I like photography. I used to take a lot of pictures on camera,” he said before taking a sip of his champagne. “I have this old camera I used to take pictures in black and white, but now I also use phones, and then I print them.”

I arched my brow. “Where do you keep these black-and-white pictures? I haven't seen any in our room.”

He grinned. “I don't keep them in our room; they're private pictures. I kept them in a separate room, but I will show you next time we go home. Wait.” He pulled his phone from his pants.

“I think I have a few on my phone,” he said, his thumb tapping on the screen.

“Would you like to see them?”

I nodded. “Sure.”

He grinned when he found what he was looking for and passed me the phone. I reached for the phone just as I took a sip of my drink.

My eyes landed on the black-and-white image, bulged, and then I choked, coughing hysterically.

Chuckling, Lorenzo got up from his seat, grabbed a glass of water, and gave me a drink while he rhythmically patted my back.

Until I finally got my cough under control.

“What the hell was that? That's…that's sick,” I stuttered, blushing hard.

“It's fucking hot,” he murmured shamelessly. “It's what kept me company when you were at the Vincenzos. I stare at it and work my cock to exhaustion.” He winked.

“Shameless is what you are,” I whispered. My face was burning from how hard I was blushing.

“Thank you,” he grinned, smirking.

I know men watched porn and whatnot, and I guess some even keep nudes on their phone. But I never expected Lorenzo to print the pictures taken years ago in our sexy moments and save them on his phone.

Fortunately, a man I hadn't noticed before arrived with our food, and dinner was finally served.

For the next half hour we just ate, drank and chatted, teasing, flirting and laughing so hard, I teared up once or twice.

But unfortunately, the beautiful moments were shattered by gunshots. Lorenzo was fast on his feet; he flipped the table, using it as cover, his gun in hand, right before our security arrived and circled us.

Lorenzo helped me up and began to wipe my dress clean. “What is going on, Lorenzo? Is it Antonio? Do you think he's still alive?”

“Of course not; that stronzo is dead,” he growled, tucking my hair back, before he gripped my hand and began to guide me towards the house.

A tall, good-looking man in casual wear stood in the living room, with a slightly younger man not much older than me. The younger man wore a white suit and a black bow; in his hand was a beautiful violin.

“You're a fucking lunatic,” Lorenzo growled.

“Pot, kettle black, Diavolo,” the man growled. “Maybe next time, don't kidnap my violinist and fucking get your own.”

“I'm sorry what?!” I glared at Lorenzo hard.

“It's not what you think, Mia Tigre,” he tried to explain, scratching his non existent beard.

I rolled my eyes. Because I know what my husband is fully capable of by now.

“Right. He kidnapped my brother’s violinist from his wedding. My sister-in-law specifically invited the violinist to come play at their wedding party.”

“I'm so sorry,” I whispered. “I hope it didn't ruin your sister- in -law's day.”

“It's not your fault, and I'm sorry about your dinner. If you decide to dump his ass, I have another brother who's single and will treat you right. Just come to Santa Cristina.”

Lorenzo wrapped his hand around my waist as though I could bear to leave him. I smile. “I'm afraid it's too late; I'm already in love with this man.”

“It's never too late to think again.”

“Shut the fuck up, before I shoot your ass, Santo,” Lorenzo growled.

The man chuckled and led the younger man away with his violin.

“Who was that? Is he your friend?”

“He's just an asshole I do business with,” he gritted out.

I pushed away from Lorenzo, crossed my hands on my chest, and whirled on him. “You kidnapped a fucking violinist?”

“I forgot to hire one, so I asked Savio to get me someone,” he explained, innocently.

“You told him to kidnap him?”

“I might have said that; I'm not sure, but it was all to make our first date special.”

I scoffed, shaking my head. “Right, special. You can't just kidnap people as though it was nothing.”

He dragged me close, flashing me that deadly grin. “It wasn't nothing; I want you to be happy,” he drawled. “And I compensated them generously; you can't say you weren't happy, you loved it.”

“I never said I didn't, I'm …”

Something he said clicked; I narrowed my eyes at him. “You said them? Who's them? Don't tell me you also kidnapped the chhh?”

The rest of my words got lost between our lips as Lorenzo pounced on me, his mouth taking control of my own. We kissed each other with hunger worth weeks and love that burned and rebuilt.

The earlier need came back with a vengeance when he yanked down my dress and sucked a nipple. My clit pulsed, and I dragged him back to meet my lips.

Our hands moved in unison, as he touched and stripped each other for each article of clothes.

Lorenzo flipped me against the wall and kicked my feet wide before he guided his throbbing cock inside me. I arched my back, taking him deeper as we both moaned.

“Fuck, Mia Tigre, I missed you,” Lorenzo growled, thrusting deeper and harder. I moan, thrusting back.

His hand grips my hips tighter and tighter, as our skin slaps harder, his cock stroking me deeper in that sweet spot. Lorenzo reached out and pressed a thumb on my slippery clit, and instantly my eyes rolled to the back of my head as I exploded.

Lorenzo wasn't far behind; he roared as he came, his hot come filling me so much it drips down between my thighs.

He sighed, kissing my neck and shoulder. “I love you, Sancia.”

“I love you,” I whispered back, twisting in his arms. He pulled out his cock, still semi-hard, and swept me up into his arms.

“Time for round two,” he growled, kissing me. I smiled against his lips, kissing him back.
