Chapter – 12

Hiya's POV

I don’t understand what is Sonia (Rishav's mother) aunty's problem with me. I have done nothing to her. The Last time she has crossed her limits. She even insulted my mother. How dare she? What does she think of herself? I am doing favour to her family. If I tell her in-laws about my contract marriage with Rishav, they will snatch the properties they have given. But I will not do such thing because my uncle's business will be in problem. Rishav's grandparents are also very smart. They didn’t transfer everything completely as they had promised before. God knows if they doubt anything or not. I just hope Diya di comes back soon and save me from this mess. I have really become a mess. After that kiss it has become very difficult for me to stay with Rishav. Our relationship has become awkward. Day by day I get more infatuated with him. I have started liking him very much. I am very ashamed of my feeling towards him. My uncle and bua and Rishav's parents choose me because they trust me…Not Rishav's mother. But what am I doing? Chi! Shame on me!

When Rishav's mother was insulting me I got angry. But if my feelings for Rishav don't stop then her words will be true. I don’t want that to happen. But still, she has no right to insult me or my mother. What is her problem with my mother? She is already dead. Can't she leave a dead person?

Flashback

I was unpacking the stuff, I had taken to Switzerland when Rishav's mom, Sonia aunty entered the room.

She didn’t have the courtesy to ask if were we fine. How was the trip? No…without any hesitation she directly asked “did something happen between you and Rishav?”

I was a little flabbergasted by the sudden question. I didn’t understand what did she mean by her question. I didn’t reply to anything as I didn’t understand what to say. Nothing serious happened but that kiss in the car, that was something for me. I was guilty so I didn’t reply anything to Sonia aunty.

SONIA : Listen Hiya, You better stay away from my son. If you try to do anything I will send you to jail and I can do that because that will be a violation of the contract. You will be always under my watch. I know, your character can not be better than your mother. You definitely know how to seduce men like her. Do your seduction work somewhere else after you go away from our life.

That’s it! The wall of my tolerance broke. How could she insult my mother and how dare she talk about my career?

HIYA : What is your problem with me? What have I done?

SONIA : You! Your existence in this world is my problem. It would have been better if you never existed in this world. You should have died with your parents. I hate you.

“Sonia!!!” – an angry high pitched voice coming from the entrance of the room attracted out attention. It was Raj uncle, who was standing with my uncle and both of them were angrily looking at Sonia aunty. Uncle took some deep breaths. It was clear that uncle tried to calm his anger. He was also angry like Raj uncle. Uncle walked over to me and stood in front of me.

DINESH : Honey, let’s go…Your Bua is missing you. It would be better if you stay there.

I agreed without any complaint. I also assume it is the best idea. In this way I can avoid Rishav. And after hearing Sonia aunty's hatred words towards me. I really want to stay away from her.

FLASHBACK END

I wanted to ask uncle why Sonia aunty hate me so much, but his expression confused me. So I didn’t ask him anything. Through out our ride to home…I mean my bua's house Uncle had many expression on his face. There was anger, guilt, sadness…everything was there. He was quiet throughout the journey so I didn’t disturb him. But I am very curious to know why Sonia aunty hates me and my mother who is already dead.

I want to know about it. So now I am going to my bua's room. I will ask her.

Third Person's POV

When Hiya was just about to enter the room she stopped her track, hearing her bua and uncle's conversation regarding her mother.

RAGINI ( Hiya's bua) : How could she still blame Hema (Hiya's mother)? We all know it was not her fault. How could Sonia say such a thing to Hiya? We are already making that child suffer by dragging her into this situation. Should she not be grateful that Hiya agreed to help us?

DINESH : I really can not believe that she has held grudges against them till now. I am feeling more guilty after seeing Sonia's behaviour against Hiya. Hiya must be hating us now.

“No uncle, I don’t hate you.” – hearing Hiya's voice they both got startled. They both looked toward her with worried faces. They were scared thinking how much Hiya has heard their conversation. They didn’t want her to know about her parent’s past.
