Time jump: toddlers galore along with a wedding
"Lyric! You need to get ready!" I yelled as I walked into the room. "I don't want to get ready," she pouted. "Nash!" I yelled for Nash. "Larkin, you better not take off those shoes!" Nash ordered Larkin. He walked out of her room to see what was going on with Lyric and me. "But Daddy," Larkin whined. "I mean it!" He said firmly to her. He left the room and peeked into the other room, "Lakin and Luna! Stop taking your brother's clothes off!" "But Daddy! We want to make him pretty," Lakin stomped. "I said, no!" He told them as they glared at him with their steel-grey eyes. "Fine," Luna huffed while crossing her arms and pouting. Nash walked in, "Lyric." "I don't want to get ready, Daddy," she pouted, jutting out her bottom lip. He walked over and crouched down. "Lyric, if you get dressed, I promise to give you all ice cream at the reception." "You promise?" She asked him with her big blue eyes. "I promise," he said as he smiled at her. "Okay, Daddy," she smiled as she got dressed. We stood up, and I looked at him. "Ice cream?" "It got you, didn't it?" He pulled me into a kiss, then we heard, "Ew yuk." We turned to see Larkin, Lex, Lakin, and Luna standing there, making faces at us. "I'll ew yuck you," Nash said as he chased after them as they squealed as they ran down the hallway. I looked down at Lyric. "You know you will have to keep them in line, right?" "Meh, I can do it, mommy," she shrugged, causing me to laugh. I held out my hand as she reached for it. We walked out of the room hand in hand as we made our way downstairs. We had to head over to Nate and Pat's place. We walked in, and the kids screamed, "Nana! Grampa!" "Come here, my favorite five," Nate yelled as he engulfed them in a hug. Then we heard more screams as the kids yelled, "Nana! Grampa!" In ran Marshall, Murphy, Noel, Niall, Kaiden, and Kain. "Oh, my boys!" Pat exclaimed as she got down on her knees and engulfed them in a hug. The brothers walked in along with the girls. "Where's sex craze at?" Nixon asked everyone. "Upstairs, he's nervous," Pat answered. "About what?" Nash asked. "Nixon is performing his ceremony," Nate replied. "I'm offended. I will have Nolan know that I have gotten better these past couple of years," Nixon exclaimed. We all looked at him. "Yes, I have," he rolled his eyes. That would make for an exciting wedding. With the many kids, the adults had to keep a close eye on them. The rest of us stood up. Nixon performed the ceremony. "Dearly beloved. We come here to join my sex craze brother and his equal sex craze girl in holy matrimony." "What's sex craze, Nana?" Marshall asked Pat. "Nothing Marshall," Pat answered him, shooting Nixon a look who just shrugged. "These two crazy kids and I mean crazy done what the rest of us idiots did and got married." "What's an idiot grampa?" Noel asked Nate. "Your uncle Nixon," he told Noel. "Now, we all know, you will say I do because well, if you didn't, we will have wasted our time," Nixon said. "Daddy's crazy," Kaiden said to Kain. "Uh-huh, Mommy said he does pounding well. I wonder if he pounds blocks?" Kain asked him. Kaiden just shrugged. "Now, we'll just cut to the chase. You two love each other. Because if you didn't, well, we would have a serious issue." "Is Uncle Nixon weird?" Niall asked Murphy. "I don't know. Daddy said he lost his marbles," Murphy shrugged. "I got marbles if he needs them," Niall offered. "Uncle Nixon is a big fruit loop," Larkin mentioned. "I like Fruit Loops," Luna added. "Fruit Loops are awesome," Lakin said. "Shh, Daddy will be mad if you keep talking," Lyric warned them. As Nixon kept talking, we heard Lex yell, "Daddy, will you be mad if we keep talking?" We all stopped as Nash placed his face in his palm. "No, buddy, but can you be quiet, please?" "Uncle Nixon, I have marbles for you. Daddy said, you lost yours," Murphy yelled. "No, I got marbles! Uncle Nixon, you can have mine," Niall yelled. Nate and Pat were trying to stifle their laughter. "I want Fruit Loops Daddy," Luna yelled. "Yeah, can we have Fruit Loops Daddy?" Lakin yelled. "Hey, can all of you get your kids under control so I can finish this ceremony?" Nixon asked all of us. "Daddy, would you pound blocks with Mommy?" Kaiden asked. We all looked at Nixon with a look trying not to laugh. "You were saying, brother?" Nash asked him. Nixon gave him an annoyed look. "I now pronounce you, man and wife. Kiss your bride. I got a kid to take care of," Nixon said as he walked off the stage with Kat following him. "Kaiden and Kain!" Nixon snapped as he stormed towards his twins. "Nash," I said, giving him a look. "Right," Nash said, running after Nixon. While Nash handled Nixon, the rest of us dealt with the kids. Once Nash could calm Nixon down, Larkin ran up to him. She wrapped her arms around his legs. "Uncle Nix!" She squealed. "Hey girlfriend," he said, picking her up. Lakin ran over to Nathan, and he promptly swooped her up. Luna ran to Nolan, who did the same as Lyric yanked on Noah's pant leg. Lex went over to Nash and reached up. "Up," Lex said to Nash as he leaned down and picked him up. The other boys all played together as I looked at the boys with the quints. "You know, it's weird the bond they have with them," Marcy mentioned. "I don't think so," I said. "What do you mean?" Macey asked. "Nash and I figured it out. The quints are just like the boys and their personalities. They are more bound to each brother," I explained. They looked at them as the boys talked to each quint. "Well, all I can say is good luck, Maggie, because if they are like them, you will need it," Kat smirked. I promptly placed my palm on my face. While the reception kicked off, Nash came through and made sure the quints each had some ice cream. We all ate a scoop of ice cream together. I looked at the kids. Lyric and Larkin had Nash's hair color, and my blue eyes, Lakin and Luna, had my hair color and Nash's steel-gray eyes. But Lex, Lex was a mini version of Nash. The resemblance was uncanny. As we sat there, a little girl toddles over. She must be the quints age. She tugged on my skirt to my dress, and I looked down. "Hi, would you like some ice cream?" She nodded with big brown eyes. I lifted her, placing her on my lap. I let her have my ice cream and looked at her. She had brown curly hair and brown eyes. Then I looked at Lex, who was staring intently at her. "Piper!" We heard someone yelled from a distance. She turned her head as a man walked over to her. "There you are, sweetheart. Your mom and I were so worried." She reached up, and he picked her up. "Piper!" A woman ran up frantically. "Oh, thank God! We're so sorry. We were unloading our car and noticed she wandered off," the woman explained, being apologetic. "It's not a problem," I assured them. "We're sorry about this," the man apologized to us. "It's fine," Nash said. "You said you were unloading?" "Yeah, we just moved in a few houses down. There is a family next door with five kids," he mentioned to us. "You don't say," Nash said, feigning surprise. "We're glad because we were afraid there wouldn't be any kids in the neighborhood," the woman said to us. "Well, I'm Maggie Gray. That is my husband, Nash Gray. These are our quints, Lyric, Larkin, Lakin, Luna, and Lex," I introduced them. "I'm Mike, and this is my wife Nancy, and this little wanderer here is Piper," he said, tickling her. She giggled. We invited them to join us, and they did. It was weird. I figured history would repeat itself, but Mike and Nancy were nothing like my parents. I was glad for that because no kid deserves the treatment like the way my parents treated me. It did work out for the best.
