A Christmas delivery for Noah and Marcy
With me being on bed rest and Nathan and Macey's twins being a month old, Nash wanted to have host Christmas at our house. Everyone agreed. Thank God because Christmas would suck if I had to stay in bed. Nate helped Nash get a tree and decorate it. While Pat baked and cooked. I'm stuck on the couch. Yay for bed rest. Can't you tell how happy I am with this arrangement? Nash looked at me. "Oh, cheer up babygirl, it'll be okay." I had a sour look on my face. "Nash, this is ridiculous. Our first Christmas as a married couple, and I can't even do anything," I groaned. "Sweetheart, it's just one day," Nate told me. "Dad, you don't understand. I wanted to decorate the tree with my husband. Make cookies, dinner, and all that other jazz that goes along with it," I huffed while waving my arms around in the air. "We know, but trust me, once the babies are here, you will get to do all this with them," Nate explained. Yeah, these babies need to come. I was running out of the room. The doctor said they were all measuring at around four pounds apiece. That was normal. Multiples always measure smaller. There was a knock at the door, and Pat answered it. In walked Nixon with Kat waddling behind him. She waddled over to the couch and sat down next to me. "I don't know how you do it, Maggie. Having two is a lot of work. But five? Good god," she said to me. "She isn't. She complains a lot," Nash smirked. I gave him a look. "No fun time for you." "Uh-huh, sure," he rolled his eyes. "Ow my bleeding ears," Nixon exclaimed, covering his ears. "What are you talking about, Nixon? You're just as bad," Kat retorted. "And you enjoy every minute," he shot back. Then came a knock, "Save by the door, thank god," Nate groaned. In walked Noah and Marcy, she waddled over to us and sat down next to me on the couch. We looked a sight. "Ugh, I will be so happy when they come," Marcy groaned. "Honey, I'm trying," Noah assured her. "Well, try harder. I thought sex speeds things up," Marcy snapped at him. "Give me a break. Mr. Winky needs to recover too, you know," he snapped back. "How did I get stuck here while your mother is in the kitchen?" Nate asked with a sigh. "Just lucky, I guess," Nixon shrugged. Then came another knock. Nate opened the door as Nathan and Macey walked in carrying each baby. "Pat…" Nate started to yell until Pat ran into the room, knocking Nate out of the way, "Come to nana my precious babies," she said as she took them from Nathan and Macey. "Let's go help Nana in the kitchen." She promptly walked off with both car seats in hand. "So much for ma saying hi," Nathan huffed. "What's your problem?" Nixon asked him. "Having no sex is the problem. We have a couple more weeks to go," Macey answered as Nathan looked miserable. "Dude, you don't have any idea how hard it is not to pound the shit out of your old lady. Especially when she has a delectable ass," he huffed again. The boys looked at him. "Ever hear of Rosie and lotion?" Nash asked him. "Not the same," Nathan retorted. "Again, how did I subject to being stuck here?" Nate asked as another knock came at the door. "Thank god," he answered it, "never mind. I am so screwed." "Hi to you too, Dad," Nolan said to him. Brook saw Nathan and Macey, "Out of my way, your tool. I got babies to cuddle," she shouted, pushing Nolan out of the way. "Great, superseded over babies," Nolan grumbled. "Don't worry, little brother; your time will come," Nathan told him. "Yeah, not for a few years, unlike, you tool, I hid my raincoats," he informed him. "Why?" Nixon asked. "Because knowing Brook, she tries to poke holes in those bitches. Do you know she had tried to hump me sans raincoat?" "I can't believe any girl wants to hump you in the first place," Nixon commented to him. "I'll have you know, my girl's satisfied," he smirked. "Whatever makes you sleep at night, brother," Nixon replied with an eye roll. Pat was finishing up dinner as Nate went to help her. Nathan and Macey helped set the table as Nolan and Brook kept an eye on the twins. Christmas Eve was in full swing. After dinner, we would open gifts, except we weren't expecting two surprise arrivals. "I feel wet," I said as they all looked at me. Nash got up quickly and helped me up while they were checking to see why I was wet. Then we all realized it wasn't me. We turned and looked at Marcy. "I think my water just broke." "And there goes dinner," Nixon said as we all looked at him. Nash went to get the others to let them know. They all headed out while I had to stay behind. Kat stayed with me. "Well, I guess it's just the two of us," she mentioned. "Is it weird that you got left behind while my tool of a husband left?" I asked her. She gave me a look until the door opened. "I'm sorry about that. Kat, you go with Nixon," Nash said as he walked over and helped her up. She waddled away as he sat down. I gave him a look. "Too much excitement?" "Uh-huh," he responded. "Forgive me?" "Feed us, then we'll talk," I said to him. He chuckled and got up, making us both a plate of food. Apparently, unbeknownst to us, Marcy had been in labor all day, so their twins came quickly. After visiting, they all returned to the house to eat, leaving Noah and Marcy to spend time alone with their boys, Noel and Niall. They took pictures to show us. "You just couldn't wait, could ya?" Nixon huffed. I looked at him. "Five babies versus a cranky uncle? Guess who wins?" He looked at me as I smirked. Yeah, Nixon will not win this one. In the process of everything, Nash had a Christmas present for me, a special one. "Come on, wife, time for your present," he announced, getting up and reaching out his hand. "Nash, I'm comfy," I whined. "Come on, you'll like it," he coaxed me as he and Nixon helped me up. He led me upstairs to the second floor, with everyone following behind. Pat and Macey were holding the twins. Nate, Nixon, Nathan, Noah, and Nolan all went to each of the bedroom doors. Nash turned to me. "I know you're concerned that we wouldn't be ready for the babies, but I thought this would help. So, I enlisted some help." I looked at him, confused. "Open them up, everyone," he instructed them. With that, they each opened a door. I walked to the first room where Nolan stood. It was a nursery. Next, it was Noah, the same thing. With each boy, I looked past them to see a nursery. Five to be exact. It shocked me. I turned and looked at Nash. "How? I didn't even know anyone was here." "Because we tried being quiet as plus it helps with noise-canceling headphones," he grinned. I gave him a look. "That's why you bought my headphones." "With you here, how was I going to surprise you?" He asked, placing a hand on my belly, then the kicks started. I smiled at him, then walked into a nursery. I couldn't believe they did this. I began to cry. "What's wrong, baby girl?" He asked with concern as he walked over to me. "It's just that this is so thoughtful, and you guys are incredible; I don't know why I'm crying," I blubbered. He chuckled. "Because you're hormonal right now." I playfully smacked him as he laughed then he pulled me to him. Everyone else smiled at us. That was the thing about the Gray family, they may be crazy, but with a family, there was nothing they wouldn't do. Once you became a Gray, you were a Gray. I was so glad; I moved next door to them. I may have had sucky parents, but at least I got a great family out of the deal. Which reminds me, I have never spoken to my parents since I can remember? Did I feel the need? Nope, because I got two great parents out of the deal, Nate and Pat. It just took me to marry their son to get them. For that, I was thankful.
