Chapter 70
Third Person’s Point of View
As soon as the strangers introduced themselves, the mood in the room shifted. The tension of the unknown had melted away, and Asclepius found herself relaxing just a little bit. She listened patiently as Blasphemer and Hesperus explained their purpose for being there, and soon enough, Asclepius found herself nodding in agreement.
"So, what do you propose we do?" she asked, looking from Blasphemer to Hesperus and back again.
"Well, we can start by scouting out the areas where we think the Titans might be hiding," Blasphemer said. "We can gather intel and figure out the best plan of attack."
"But we can't just go in blindly," Hesperus added. "We need to be strategic about it. We'll need to work together—all of us—if we're going to take down these Titans."
Asclepius knew they were right. She couldn't just sit around and wait for the Titans to make the first move. She needed to be proactive in protecting her people, and that meant working with the other gods and goddesses.
"I agree," she said, standing up from her throne. "Let's get to work."
And so, the three of them set out to plan their strategy. They spent hours going over maps and discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the Titans. They studied past battles and tried to figure out what had worked and what hadn't. They even enlisted the help of a few other gods and goddesses, including Demeter and Dionysus.
Slowly but surely, a plan began to take shape. They would split up into small groups and scout out the different areas where the Titans might be hiding. They would try to gather as much information as possible and report back to the group. Once they had a good idea of where the Titans were, they would launch a coordinated attack.
It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was the best they could come up with. And as the days and weeks went on, Asclepius began to feel more and more hopeful. She wasn't alone in this fight. She had the other gods and goddesses by her side, and together, they could do anything.
But even as they prepared for battle, Asclepius couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. She knew that the Titans were powerful creatures and that they were not to be underestimated. She knew that lives would be lost in this fight—perhaps even her own.
And yet, she couldn't let her fear stop her from doing what needed to be done. She had a duty to her people, and she would do whatever it took to protect them.
The day of the attack arrived sooner than Asclepius would have liked. She had hoped to have more time to prepare, but there was no putting it off any longer. They had gathered as much information as they could, and it was time to put their plan into action.
Asclepius and Hesperus led one of the scouting groups, while Blasphemer took command of the others. They split up into small teams and fanned out across the countryside, keeping their eyes peeled for any signs of the Titans.
It didn't take long for them to find what they were looking for. Asclepius's group stumbled upon a massive cave hidden deep in the mountains, and they could sense the powerful energy emanating from within.
They radioed the other teams to let them know what they had found, and soon enough, Blasphemer and the rest of the gods and goddesses were making their way to the cave.
The plan was simple: they would attack the Titans from all sides, catching them off guard and overwhelming them with their combined strength. They would keep up the pressure until the Titans were weakened enough for them to be defeated.
Asclepius's heart raced as they approached the cave. She could feel the heat of the Titans' energy, and she knew that this was going to be a difficult fight.
But she also knew that they had no other choice. They had come too far to turn back now.
They entered the cave cautiously, weapons ready. They could see the Titans in the distance, their massive forms casting long shadows on the cave walls.
Asclepius felt a moment of doubt as she looked at them. They were so large and powerful, and she couldn't help but wonder if they were strong enough to take them down.
But then she thought of her people—the innocent mortals whose lives were at stake. She thought of all the good that could be done if they succeeded in defeating the Titans.
And with that, she charged forward, her fire burning bright.
The battle was intense. Asclepius fought with everything she had, launching fireballs and blasts of heat at the Titans. Hesperus stood at her side, his arrows finding their marks time and time again.
Blasphemer was a force to be reckoned with, his massive sword cleaving through the Titans' armor as if it were paper. His presence alone was enough to strike fear into the hearts of the Titans, and Asclepius couldn't help but feel grateful that he was on their side.
As the battle wore on, Asclepius could sense the Titans' strength waning. They were getting tired, their energy levels dropping with every passing moment. And then, finally, she saw her chance.
With a fierce cry, she released a powerful wave of heat, unleashing all her power in one massive burst. The Titans were caught off guard, and they stumbled backwards, their defenses crumbling.
And then, in a flash of light, it was over. The Titans were defeated, their bodies disintegrating into nothingness.
Asclepius let out a cry of triumph, a sense of relief flooding over her. They had done it. They had defeated the Titans.
But as the dust settled and the smoke cleared, Asclepius couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. She knew that this was only the beginning—that there would be more battles to come and more challenges to face.
But for now, she allowed herself a moment of peace. She looked at Hesperus and Blasphemer and saw the same sense of relief in their eyes.
Together, they faced the Titans and emerged victorious. And for Asclepius, that was enough.
"Are you okay, Krea?" a voice asked me in my mind.
Hesperus’s Point of View
I slowly opened my eyes, and I saw black dots on my vision, but they quickly disappeared. I was lying on a bed, but it wasn't the bed I was in earlier. It has a soft white sheet and a fluffy pillow.
I sat up, and I looked around, and I saw that I was in a room. The walls were made of marble with gold accents, and the room was illuminated by the light coming from crystal lamps on the ceiling. There was a big door on the opposite side of the bed from where I was. There was no knob or handle, only pure gold, which has no indication of how to open it.
"Where am I?" I said to myself.
"You're in the goddess's palace," the voice said again.
The voice appeared to be the same one that I heard before I blacked out. I turned around, and there was no one in the room, but I heard the voice coming from nowhere.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Goddess Era. I am one of the ancient goddesses who ruled over this world long ago."
"Are you the goddess in the prophecy?" I asked her.
"Yes, I am," she said.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"I brought you here for a reason. You are the Sun and Snow who possess divine energy, a power that can defeat the darkness and restore peace to this world."
"What do you mean?"
"The Seven Deadly Sins have awakened the darkness, and it is consuming everything in its path. Without someone who can hold the divine energy, the darkness will soon swallow everything, even this palace."
"What can I do?"
"You are the chosen one, Sun and Snow. You are the one who will release the divine energy and defeat the darkness."
"How?"
"Through the power of the divine crystal."
"What is a divine crystal?"
"The divine crystal is a powerful object that contains divine energy, which was once used by the ancient humans in their time. It was believed that whoever possessed the crystal could access the divine energy and perform miracles."
"Where can I find it?"
"The divine crystal is hidden deep within the Sacred Forest, where the ancient temple resides. Only the chosen one can enter the Sacred Forest and obtain the divine crystal."
"Can you help me?"
"I cannot give you aid directly, Sun and Snow, for it is forbidden for the ancient gods to interfere directly in the affairs of mortals. However, I can give you a gift that may help you in your journey."
"What kind of gift?"
"Close your eyes, Sun and Snow, and focus on your breathing," she said.
I did what she said, and I felt my body relax. I focused on my breathing, and I felt my mind clear up. Suddenly, I felt a warm sensation in my chest. I opened my eyes, and I saw a necklace with a crystal pendant in front of me. The crystal was glowing, emitting a bright light, and it was warm to the touch.
"What is this?" I asked her.
"It is called the Divine Pendant. It is said that whoever possesses this pendant can access divine energy, but only in times of great need," she explained.
"What do you mean?"
"You can use the pendant to heal your wounds and increase your strength, but only for a limited time. It will also consume your energy, so use it wisely."
"I understand. Thank you," I said, feeling grateful.
"It is time for you to go, Sun and Snow. You must head to the Sacred Forest and obtain the divine crystal. The fate of this world rests in your hands," she said.
"I will try my best," I said.
"Remember, Sun and Snow, the road ahead is difficult and dangerous. The Seven Deadly Sins will stop at nothing to get the divine crystal and use it for their gain. You must be careful and trust no one," she warned me.
