Chapter 2

All of the warrior have been place in their position. I already sense the rogues surround as well as the witch. Too bad she's not stronger as I am.

"All get ready. Now!" I said in mindlink.

I cast the spell and the rogues have been seen. The warriors attack them.

I teleport to the witch hiding place which is just in this secluded wood cabin.

I cast a spell to lock her powers so she can't use it.

"I will only ask you once, if you don't answer it immediately, I will snap your neck." I threatened her as I sat at her table.

She looks at me in anger but I can sense that she's afraid. So much for a façade.

"Who's the leader behind all of this?" I asked as I crossed my arms.

She laugh in cockily and said:

"As if I will tell you. Even if you kill me. But the time is near and you can’t stop it" she said and laughed evilly.

"Alright." I said and snapped her neck.

Her eyeballs rolled as life drained from her.

I burn the cabin with the dead body of the witch inside.

I teleport back to the EverGreen pack and see that all the rogues have been captured and no one has died. Some are injured but the pack doctor has been giving them aid.

The Alpha walked towards me.

"Thank you for the help. All rogues have been captive and will be put in the cell. We are really grateful." He said.

"you're welcome. I'll go now." I said and teleported back to the Elder's place.

I saw some Elders are done also. I went to the kitchen to get ice cream, coke float and popcorn so when my bestfriend is here, everything is ready.

I put the popcorn, coke float and the ice cream at the table in front of the television.

I look at the Elders who stayed in the dining room.

"Everyone.. Kindly don't touch these foods cause we will eat this while watching. Okay?" I said as I looked at one of them.

"Can I join?" Nana asked.

"Sure Nana. I'll just go to my room to change." I said and jogged upstairs.

I changed into blue jeans and white long sleeve shirt. Then I went downstairs.

I saw Miya talking with Nana as I got closer to them I heard them talking about what happened to Miya's journey.

" Bitch. I'd slap the alpha as a goodbye. Hella good right?!" she said as she smirked in confidence.

Nana just nodded and burst into laughter.

I sit beside them and said:

" I can already imagine the reaction of the alpha." I said in laughter.

"Serve him right as I'm actually giving him a favour. He didn't even say thank you." she defend.

"We'll, let's forget that and just chill and watch movies!" I said as I wiggle the remote.

I open the netflix and we chose to watch "Train to Busan"

It's a great movie. Many emotions can be felt. But more at it. This movie opens my memories with my mother.

Our movie has been cut off by our Elders leader.

"Everyone proceeded in the meeting room. We have some issues to discuss. "

I turned off the television and went with them to the meeting room.

We all sit down and wait for the Elders leader announcement.

" As we already solve the issue about the rogues. We still don't know who's the leader behind this. Keep your guard up. We still don't know the reason for their attack. As for the King, he asked some of us to lead the mating game tomorrow." He said

Mating game? Never knew that it was still acknowledged. I really thought it was ended.

" Hasn't the mating game been banned by the King before? " one of the elders asked.

" Yes but it was unbanned by the King again as there is gossip that he hasn't found his mate. The king himself will be a spectator in the game to have a chance to find his mate if his mate has accidentally participated in the game." He said and looked at each of us seriously.

"This confuses me. Why does the King make us participate in this? He hasn't done this before. So suspenseful." one of the Elders states.

"I still don't have an idea why. But don't let your guard down and abide with the Elders law."

We all nodded.

"I volunteer myself to lead the mating game." one of the elders said.

"Who's with you?" the Elder asked

"I'll be with Nana and Harith." He said.

"OK. Everything is settled. Meeting adjourned." He said.

We all stood up and went out.

"Goodluck for tomorrow.. Hope everything went well tomorrow." I said as we both walked upstairs.

"Yah. Hope so girl. Goodnight." She said and went inside her room.

I also went inside my room and did my night routine.

I lay on my bed thinking about what it would feel like to be part of the mating game. Sometimes it made me envy those who have mates because we Elders don't have. It's been a year since they cut my connection with my mate. My mate can't find me anymore as the mate pull has been sealed. I didn't choose to be this, it was destined.

I close my eyes and fall asleep. My mind brought me to the King's place.

This confused me, did I teleported unconsciously? I called the maid but they didn't heard me. I touch her but my hands just pass her body. I was shock. This is the first time this has happened to me. I roam around the Palace. Maybe there is a reason why I was brought here.

As I walked around, I smelled something so captivating, I walked through the door and saw a guy standing on the balcony.

I only see his broad back, such a fit body for a man. I tried to move closer but something pulled me back and I was awake. I opened my eyes and saw that it was still 5 am in the morning.

"What kind of dream is that? Is that even a dream.?" These questions bothered my mind.

I just let out a deep sigh and fell asleep again.
