Chapter 30

Chad's POV:

On my way to the room, I met Lila appear from another corner of the house. She saw me and her eyes lit up.

"Hey Chad. You're back already?" She asked as she walked towards me.

"Hmm, yeah. How have you been?"

"Good," she answered and fiddled with her fingers.

"By the way, I saw Dean earlier. He looked weird. Do you know what's wrong with him?"

Her cheeks flushed when I said that, and she bit her lips. Tucking her hands behind her ears, she replied.

"I'd rather not talk about it." She muttered quietly. I frowned slightly. Something is definitely going on between these two. It's still weird to believe that she's my cousin, but I'm glad she is.

"Okay… I'll be in my room." I replied to her and walked to my room.

Mason's POV:

"When are we going to tell Ximena?" I asked into the phone.

"Soon…" Nikita replied.

"Why soon? She needs to know that am her father!

"Who needs to know that you're her father? Alya asked, and I immediately turned. She must've walked into the study while I was making the call and overhead what I said to Nikita.

"Um… I'll talk to you later, I muttered, and immediately hung up. Alya still kept staring at me.

"Alya…" I tried to greet. "When did you get in?"

"A few seconds ago." She replied nonchalantly. "Who were you talking to?"

"No one." I replied.

"No one? But you said something like 'she needs to know that am her father.'"

"About that…" I began, but she cut me off.

"Dad, is there something you're hiding from me?"

I sighed. "Okay… I'll tell you," I muttered.

"What is it?"

"I have another… You have another sister."

"I do!?"

"Yes… From another woman. It was her I was talking to when you walked in. She doesn't know I'm her real father."

"Who is this woman you have another with?"

"I can't tell you now. But if it's possible, you'll get to see her today."

"Really?" Alya asked.

"Yeah."

"Soo… You won't give me any heads up or nothing?"

"No. You'll find out when we reveal it to you," I said.

"Okay…" Alya muttered. I hope she's nice," she says and walks out of the room.

Ximena's POV:

I had arrived back at the Beamer girls penthouse, but I wanted to know if my mom had done what I'd requested of her, so I called her up.

"Hello Mom."

"Yes honey.'

"Have you done what I asked you to earlier?"

"No… Not yet… I'm still very busy."

"But mom… The longer she stays there, the harder it'll be for me to get her out."

"I know that honey… It's just, there's been a lot going on lately and I need to get myself back on track. Don't worry, I'll do it."

"okay…" I muttered, utterly displeased. I made to hang up, but she stopped me.

"By the way, there's something I'd like to tell you. Can we meet this evening?"

"Can't it be said on the phone?"

"Unfortunately, no."

"Okay… I'll see if I have some free time and I'll let you know."

"Okay… Till then. Bye."

"Bye."

I hung up. Guess I'll have to deal with this myself.

Dean's POV:

Tapping my pen on the table, I tried to concentrate so I could at least write a few lyrics to the song I was coming up with. I couldn't, my head just wasn't there. It was in the kiss Lila and I shared, and how I desperately wanted more.

Damnit! What even made me kiss her?

***

(Flashback)

I tried to walk out on Lila to avoid doing anything stupid, but she pulled me back. Not expecting the pull, I tumbled backwards and fell right on her, as if it has been practiced before.

I felt like I had been cornered… By Lila. I had immediately wanted to stand up, but right then I lost control of my body as I stared at her face and full lips… Desire washed through me and I badly wanted to kiss them. Realizing what she had done, Lila tried to scurry away from under me, but I held her I place. Her eyes were as big as saucers when I finally leaned in and kissed her.

It was the best kiss ever, and trust me, I had kissed tons of girls. Her lips felt like they've been made perfectly for me, petal soft yet firm. One taste and I wanted more. She was too stunned to even kiss back, but I kept indulging myself, my hands finding their way into her hair, tilting her towards me so I could get proper access.

Eventually one of us came back to earth, and unfortunately, it wasn't me. With all in the force left in her, she pushed me away till I was beside her. Then hastily stood up and glared at me. Her lips looked a lot fuller, and I just wanted to keep kissing them. Lila didn't want that, however.

"What are you…?" she began but stopped, biting her lips as her cheeks turned pink.

Trying to save myself from the most embarrassing situation I have ever been in, I muttered coldly…

"You asked for it…"

"What!?" she squeaked, her eyes dimming with shock. I felt like I had punched in the face, and I immediately wanted to apologize. Instead, I picked myself up and walked into the room, slamming the door behind me.

Sagging against it, I sighed heavily.

Dean! What on Earth are you doing!?

(End of Flashback)

My head on the table, I groaned out in frustration. All I want to do now is walk out of my room, all the way to hers and kiss her again, but I doubt if something like that is going to happen again considering with the way I'm acting around her.

This is way more than a crush, I thought sadly.

My phone rang, distracting me from my thoughts. I picked it up without checking the caller.

"Hello… Who is this?" I asked.

"It's me… Ximena."

I scoffed. Of all people to call, it had to be her?

"Wait… Don't hang up yet. I want to talk to you."

"About what?" I asked, my voice a little too harsh.

"About… Lila."

"What about her?"

"Don't you think it's dangerous… Keeping someone like her in your house? You don't even know her from Eve!"

"Chad's cool with it, so are the rest of the boys." I answered thoughtlessly.

"Who's talking about them! I don't know… I just feel that, for her to be kicked out of the training program… There has to be something really wrong with her, don't you think so?"

I said nothing as I processed what she said. Somehow, she felt right.

"I have to go now… I'll talk to you later?"

"Dean… Wait…!"

I didn't. I had already hung up. Maybe I should make Lila leave this house, though.

Though it's not because of her. It's because of me.

Ellen's POV:

I was at Mira's house, cleaning the house, when my cellphone rang. Mira was yet to return, and when I checked the caller ID, it was Natalie. I immediately picked it up.

"Hello Ellen. Good evening."

"good evening. Why are you calling?"

"I'm here to give you an update. So we've dug up CG and done autopsy on his remains." The result… Natalie hesitated.

"What about the results?" I asked impatiently.

"The results aren't good Ellen."

"Tell me anyway."

"CG, your husband was poisoned to death."

The phone fell from my hands. What!?

Ximena's POV:

I arrived at my mom's house and met her in the living room. She saw me and welcomed me. Prodding me to the seat, she faced me. You could tell from her behavior she was tense about something.

"You called for me, and I'm here. What is it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Yes, I did. Ximena, there's something I'd like to tell… It's something you didn't know and I've hidden it from you for a long time."

"Go on…" I prodded. Minutes passed but my mom was yet to say anything.

"Mom… You've not said anything yet. What's wrong."

"It's… Really hard…" she said and sighed. Taking in a deep breath, she continued strongly. "Ximena, the man you know as your father isn't really your father," she announced.

I felt a thud in my ears as I sat up. What did Mom mean by that? CG isn't my dad? She must be joking.

"You're joking, right?"

"And why would I joke with something like that?"

"If CG isn't my dad… Who is?" I asked and my mom looked beyond me. I followed her gaze and saw she was staring at the door. I was trying to comprehend Everything, but the door opened and someone walked in. It was Mr. Roberts, Alya's dad.

"Hello Ximena." He greeted warmly.

Why is he greeting me? And why is he here? My heart skipped a beat when I finally understood what was going on. I immediately looked at my mom, the shock clear in me.

"No way! You're saying… You're saying Mr. Roberts is my father?" I asked in disbelief. Dejected, my mom slowly nodded.

I scoffed and chuckled bitterly, trying not to believe it.

"This is all a joke, right?" I repeated.

"No… Mr. Roberts is your biological father."

"But he's Alya's dad!"

"Yes I am." He replied. I turned at him, scowling.

"I wasn't talking to you!" I shot back and looked at her.

"So you're saying…Alya and I…are sisters?"

"Yes, we are!" a voice yelled and walked in. It was Alya and although she looked shocked as well, a smirk was playing on her lips.

"Hello sister…" she greeted smiling widely. I couldn't believe my eyes.

What's she doing here!?
