Chapter 63

Tobias’ POV

I haven’t seen Jessica, Alex, Nathanial or Adrian since we left the common room this afternoon. I think they were going over last-minute preparations for Jessi to be taken from the area and how they were getting her back to the safehouse.

“Hey, Fuck Face, are you ready” Alex comes up behind me. “Not really; I know we have to let them take Jessi, why couldn’t it be you or me?” I ask him. “Because it has to be a real scenario; something Nath can relate to. He can use the emotions he had when Sebastian took her the first time. He will be able to play on that and get what we need” he answers. “I know; it’s going to be difficult.”

“Did you speak with Christian?” “Yeah; he’s not happy about it. He said it will no different to when we had to let Shaun take Tim; but with fighting” I tell him.

“Were you going over the last-minute details with Nathanial and Adrian?” “Yep; also, Bronson and Samantha. We need to make this as believable as possible. I am, to try and chase them down. If Richard or any rouges are watching on; we need to show them we mean business” he explains to me.

“We should go into the living area and wait for the mock fight. Everyone’s there; maybe we can play with Coby’s head a bit more” he tells me. “I like him; he seems to be genuine” I say back to him; as we head through my room to the living area.

Olivia and Jessica are sitting on the sofa and Coby and Beck are in deep conversation in the corner. “Are you two love birds going to seal the deal or what?” Alex chuckles to himself; “I already have; just waiting on this one” he nudges his head toward Becky. “Fine” Becky says grabbing Coby and bites down on his neck. “It’s done. Can you all back off now” she spits.

“Sorry, Beck; I didn’t mean anything by it” Alex frowns at her. “It’s ok; I guess I am apprehensive about tonight” “We all are Becky; how about you and Coby go and have some time together before it starts” I tell her; she nods and her and Coby walk to her room.

“We all know what we have to do” Alex says to us; as Christian, Nathanial, Adrian, Debbie, Bindi and Cathy come into our living area. “Yeah; you boys go out and fight and us ladies besides Olivia and Jessica will be in here, waiting for you to come back” Bindi says laughing. “Bronson and Samantha walked me through it. I get taken over by the redwood trees and Alex and you chase after them. From there; they will take me around the back away from the bunkers and I come into the safehouse via the rear” Jessica informs us.

Cynthia comes into the room. “I want you all to be careful out there; I know it’s a mock fight but accidents can happen.” “We’ll be fine, mum” Alex tells her. “I’m going to have a lie down before we have to go out” Jessica announces; Alex smirks, “That’s not a bad idea” he says following her into their room and shutting the door.

“We could all use a rest; mock fight or not, it can take a lot out of you” I tell the others. They each leave our living area and head out our room to theirs. “Care to join me?” I say to Olivia; she follows me into our room and we lay down on the bed. Wrapping our arms around one another.

*“It’s time”* Alex comes through a mind link. We all go out to the hall and head down the stairs. “Ready little bro?” I ask Tim. “As much as we can be. It will be like a sparring match, I imagine” he says back.

We get out the front; alarms are going off around the compound. “Bronson; you have gone a step too far. You should never have bought them here. We have enough issues without having more people to contend with; or is it because you have been behind this all along” Leader Reggie booms.

I look around me and see an older gentleman standing outside the bunkers, smirking; *“We have an audience, look at the bunker on the left”* I link Nathanial, Jessica, Olivia, Adrian and Alex. *“That must be Richard; let’s give him a show”* Adrian, links us back.

“That’s preposterous Reggie; I am trying to help” Bronson calls back. “Help my ass; you are building an army to destroy me” he screams. He looks over to where we are and smirks. “Maybe I should take one of your lovely ladies over there for questioning” he yells; still smirking.

“You touch any of them and I will rip your throat out” Alex yells back. Jessica puts her hand on Alex’s arm. “The blonde’s your mate; she’ll be perfect for interrogation” he screams at Alex. Alex shifts; and Jonas runs directly toward Leader Reggie.

We all shift along with him and run towards the bears who have shifted from the River Clan. Tyler is fighting a grizzly bear; we push with our feet and he goes flying towards the trees. I see Olivia; her eyes are purple; she has electrocuted a black bear. I smirk in Tyler’s mind; **“at least she got to electrocute someone.”**

Celeste is running beside Jonas; clawing at a grizzly. For her size; she is holding her own. Two other grizzly bears are charging toward Celeste and grab her; she shifts back to Jessica “ALLLEEEXXX” she screams.

Tyler comes up alongside Jonas; they run; chasing down the grizzly’s that took Jessica. Five more have come towards us. Tyler uses his mouth to grab one by the arm and flings him towards the trees. He goes for the second and gets knocked to the ground; **“Roll over and keep going”** I tell him. “NO ALEX; JONAS. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO HIM; YOU ASSHOLE” Jessica screams; kicking Leader Reggie; he is still smirking; holding her around her waist. “ALEX” she screams again. Something’s gone wrong; I can’t see Jonas. Where is he?

Tyler stops; **“Is that; Jonas?”** There’s blood everywhere; he walks up to Jonas lying on the ground, and nudges him. **“Shift now”** I yell at him. “ALEX!” I scream; shaking Jonas. “ALEX!” I scream again; shaking him harder. “No, No, No, No, NO, NOOOOO” I howl; shaking him.

The bears have retreated; taking a wailing Jessica with them. Malo and Isaac come up and nudge Jonas. His body remains lifeless. Okan joins; the three are still nudging Jonas; trying to get him to move. The three wolves sit around him and begin to howl. They are joined by the other leaders; howling, roaring and growling.

Nathanial, Adrian and Christian shift back. Nathanial drops to his knees. He clutches onto Jonas’ bloodied fur; “AHHHHHHH” he shouts through the trees.

“I’M GOING TO KILL THOSE FUCKING ASSHOLES” I boom. Christian grabs hold of my arm; holding me back from chasing after them. Adrian puts his hand on Nathanial’s shoulder.

“I have to get him out of here; we need to get him back to the safehouse” I yell; my Alpha Aura coming through my request. The four of us gently pick up Jonas and carry him toward the safehouse. Olivia comes running to us; “Jonas, Alex; What happened?” She cries; tears falling down her face.

I look toward the bunker area; Richard is still there, smirking. **“I’m going to wipe that smirk off his face”** I tell Tyler.

There is a guard either side of the doorway; we walk between them and into the safehouse; Jonas in our arms. Everyone follows in behind us, shutting the door.
