Chapter 61
Jessica’s POV
“Would you like to introduce us, Rebecca?” I giggle at her. “Coby; this is Luna Jessica and Luna Olivia. And this, is Coby; my mate apparently.” “I marked you; you are mine, Becky” he fumes at her.
“You didn’t even ask if I wanted to be marked; you just did it. How would you like it if I just bit your neck unexpectantly?” She yells at him. He leans his head to the side; “go right ahead; I don’t mind if you do. Besides; I can tell you want me” he sniffs the air and Becky blushes.
“Coby; it’s nice to meet you. We need to get inside; you are more than welcome to join us, since you are Becky’s mate” Olivia smiles at the two of them.
Becky takes Coby’s hand and the four of us walk into the safe house. The tension in the air of the safehouse, has lifted. People are laughing and talking as we head up the stairs to our rooms. “We will leave the pair of you to have some privacy” I say to Becky and Coby, smiling. Coby smiles back; “No; Alpha Alex and Alpha Toby will need me. We can have sex later Coby” Rebecca says.
His face drops into a pout; Olivia, Beck and myself all start to giggle. We head through our room to the living area. Alex is back to his normal self; which is a relief. “Hey” he smiles at me. “This is Coby; umm, Becky’s mate” I tell him. “WHAT?” Toby and Alex yell together and Rebecca blushes.
“I see the spell worked; do you want me to mind link Samantha?” she asks still blushing. “Yes; ask her and Raoul to come down alone please. Mate?” Toby asks. “Yeah; he was stalking Becky the whole way to her grandmother’s house” Olivia explained. “They are on their way. Coby this is Alphas Alex and Toby, I am one of their six enforcers” Becky says to him.
Toby and Alex look at one another; they are mind linking. They both step up and walk over to Coby; their Alpha auras are seeping through. I laugh at the pair as they eye Coby up and down; he becomes submissive and they drop the aura. “Only joshing with you; you are welcome to stay with Beck in her room if you wish” Alex chuckles. “You’re an asshole; Alex” Beck laughs, hearing a knock-on Toby’s door.
“Come through to the living area” he yells out. “Coby; what are you doing here?” Samantha says coming into the room; Rebecca blushes even more. Sam and Raoul look at Rebecca and eye Coby’s mark “when did he catch you?” Raoul laughs and Coby smirks; proud of himself “A few moments ago” he says.
“You wanted to see us” Samantha says still smiling at Coby and Rebecca. “Yeah; I was wondering if there was a witch or warlock living in the territory?” They think for a moment “Not to my knowledge, why?” “Yes, there is” Coby corrects them. We all look at him “Can you please elaborate, Coby?” Alex asks.
“There is a warlock; he is Greg and Sharon’s trusted advisor” he tells us. Samantha’s eyes narrow; I can see Ayanna in them. “Who’s Greg and Sharon?” Toby asks “My fuckwit brother and his bitch of a mate” Sam spits at him. *“Can we trust Coby?”* Alex mind links Rebecca including Toby, Olivia and myself in the link. *“It’s been a while since I have seen him; but I believe so. He doesn’t like Greg and Sharon either. Nobody does; when Samantha says he’s a fuckwit and she’s a bitch; umm let’s just say, they are."*
“Sam; Raoul, we believe there is a warlock who has put a spell around the territory; making everyone anxious. Majority of us have been affected by it; there were some that weren’t because they were used to the feeling” Alex says smiling at me.
“And you think it could be Richard?” Coby asks. “Maybe; but we can’t let him know about our suspicion. We got Gerry to put a counter spell around the safehouse. We are fine as long as we are in here” Toby adds. “I won’t be telling him; he’s just as big of a tosser as Greg and Sharon” Coby snorts.
“Would Greg and Sharon be involved in the drug ring?” I ask; to our surprise, Coby answers “No; they are against the drugs because of Beatrice but they are gullible enough to allow someone in that might be.”
“How do you know?” Olivia asks “I am one of Leader Bronson’s guards. We interrogated some of the dealers we caught. Nobody is talking or they don’t know who is making them. If what you are saying is true and by the energy in this place, compared to outside; it is. Do you want me to arrest him?” he looks at Samantha and Raoul.
“I like him;” Alex says pointing to Coby; “but not at the moment. We can’t show our hand” he finishes. “I do have a question; does Greg and Sharon know of our plans regarding mum?” I ask “I don’t know how much dad has told them; maybe” Samantha answers.
“We need double detail on mum immediately” I scream. “Coby are you willing to help?” Alex asks him; “sure; what do you need me to do?” “We need extra protection on Cynthia; she is the key to unlocking the maker of the drug” he tells him. “Sam, Raoul; you will need to talk to your parents. Tell them what we know and tell them to not inform Greg and Sharon.”
“I think we need to hold a leader’s meeting immediately” Samantha says pulling out her phone. “We can tell everyone. I will also message mum and dad” she finishes. “I’ll link mum; she needs to be there and know we will be putting double detail on her; where is the leader’s room?” I tell everyone.
“We’ll use the common room on ground level” Raoul says to us.
*“Mum; we are holding a leader’s meeting now. We want you to attend. It will be in the common room."* I close the mind link; “Coby; Beck, would you mind joining us?” As we all leave the room and head down to the common room. “I linked Adrian and Nath too; we may need them to get a sample sooner than we think” Toby informs.
