Cynthia's POV
Waiting in Leanne’s office, glancing over last month’s inventory; Alex, Jessica, Jonathon and Olivia walk through the door. Leanne squeals; “my baby has finally mated" she scurries over to Alex and Jessica giving them a hug. I look up from the paperwork; Jessica is beaming, her neck showing off the half-moon and star mate mark under a purple and pink sun dress.
“My new son in law” I announce, stretching my arms out towards Alex; “come give your new mumma a hug.” Jessica and Alex both come towards me and I give each of them a hug.
Leanne sobs a fake cry; “It was only yesterday; I was changing your diapers.” “Geez Mum. You knew it was going to happen; no need to be so dramatic.” She narrows her eyes at her son, “don’t get sassy with me young man; I can still put you over my knee and spank that ass of yours.”
“He can use a good spanking” Jessica laughs, giving a wink. “Eww, leave the pillow talk for the pillow” Olivia giggles as a knock sounds on the door.
“Enter” Leanne calls out. Gilda and Joseph come into the room. “We’re so excited our little girl is going to be in the pack again” Joe exclaims and Gilda shrieks “I knew you can talk your way through it” she cries; Joseph walks over to the pair “Welcome to the family, son” shaking Jonathan’s hand.
“Why are they so thrilled by our mating? Don’t they realise we had to have sex with their daughter to do it?” Jonathan says to Alex, stifling a laugh. “I can beat your ass if you want?” Joseph retorts. “No sir” Jonathon answers putting his hands up in front of him. We all start laughing as Joe grabs Jonathon around the shoulders pretending to fight him. “I just want some Grandpups” I shout. “Goddess mum, give us a chance” Jessica snorts back.
Another knock sounds on the door.
“Enter” Leanne calls out a second time. Elder Samuels walks in, looking dishevelled; wearing his turquoise and gold robes. “Sorry I’m late” he mutters; “I had issues getting here from the Bronze Pack. Those Adams twins are quite a handful sometimes.” “It’s fine Corey, the kids, Gil and Joe only got here as well” I tell him.
He smiles, “In that case, if we are ready to begin. Jessica, Olivia and Jonathon can you stand over there” pointing to the right of Leanne’s desk. They move themselves into place; Leanne stands in front of them. Corey moves himself between Leanne and the three kids.
Elder Samuels begins. “I, Corey James Samuels; Elder to the Gold Moon pack, am here to bear witness the blood oath and joining of new members, to honour and protect the Gold Moon pack until the Goddess Selene brings them home. Do you all accept the ritual that is about to take place.” “We do” the four say in unison.
“Are there any objections” He looks over at the rest of us smiling; knowing there will be none. Elder Samuels nods his head at Leanne
We all look at Leanne; “I, Luna Leanne Lorraine Salisbury on behalf of Alpha Laurence Mitchell Salisbury, through blood oath; invite Jessica Naomi Bloome into the Gold Moon Pack to honour and protect until the Goddess Selene brings you home.”
“I, Jessica Naomi Bloome, through blood oath; promise to honour and protect the Gold Moon Pack until the Goddess Selene brings me home.”
With a gold and ruby encrusted knife, Elder Samuels cuts Leanne’s hand, then cuts Jessica’s hand. They place their hands together, sealing the bond. The Gold Moon mark replacing the Desert Moon Mark on her right shoulder.
She turns to Olivia; “I, Luna Leanne Lorraine Salisbury on behalf of Alpha Laurence Mitchell Salisbury, through blood oath; invite Olivia Desiree Cleary into the Gold Moon Pack to honour and protect until the Goddess Selene brings you home.”
“I, Olivia Desiree Cleary, through blood oath; promise to honour and protect the Gold Moon Pack until the Goddess Selene brings me home,” Elder Samuels cuts Leanne’s hand where it was beginning to heal, then cuts Olivia’s hand. They place their hands together, sealing the bond. The Gold Moon mark replacing the Desert Moon Mark on her right shoulder.
She moves to Jonathon; “I, Luna Leanne Lorraine Salisbury on behalf of Alpha Laurence Mitchell Salisbury, through blood oath; invite Jonathon Jared Petersen into the Gold Moon Pack to honour and protect until the Goddess Selene brings you home.”
“I, Jonathon Jared Petersen, through blood oath; promise to honour and protect the Gold Moon Pack until the Goddess Selene brings me home,” Elder Samuels cuts Leanne’s hand for the third time, then cuts Jonathon’s hand. They place their hands together, sealing the bond. The Gold Moon mark replacing the Emerald Moon Mark on his right shoulder.
“On behalf of the Gold Moon Pack, I welcome you to our fold” Leanne announces; Alex gives a cheer. “And Jessica, we need to do something about your name when you are ready” Leanne tells her, giving a wink.
Joe and Gilda hop off the sofa, giving Jonathon and Olivia a hug. “I’m so happy for you both, mated and are in the pack. We will have Grandpups soon too. I can’t wait to spoil them” Gilda squeals; “Muuuum!” Olivia complains.
I mind link Jessica *‘I’m so happy to be able to contact you when I need to again. This texting thing isn’t really something I can get my head around and before you roll your eyes at me, I’ll repeat what Leanne said; I can still put you over my knee and spank your ass’.* She looks over at me; her blue eyes glistening with innocence. *‘How did you know I was going to roll my eyes?’.* I shake my head; *‘A mother just knows’.*
There were kisses and cuddles from all four children to Leanne, Gilda, Joseph and myself before they left the office “I’ll see you shortly” Joseph says to them. Jonathon, Olivia and Jessica look at him bewildered at his statement. I guess Alex hasn’t told them yet he is the master trainer; why should I spoil their surprise? I stay quiet as they leave the room.
