Chapter 20
Olivia’s POV
After the pack ceremony in Luna Leanne’s office, Jonny and myself headed to our room to change for our training session, “I wish Alex told us what was happening last night; I would have put my training gear on instead” I call out to Jonathon from the closet. “Yeah, but did you really want to wear your training gear to do the pack ceremony?” He makes a point. I grab my blue and yellow sports pants with matching top and get changed.
Jonathon is waiting for me on the sofa; wearing a pair of green shorts and a yellow t shirt. “Is everything ok?” I ask him; sensing his anxiety. “Yeah” he forces a smile. I sit next to him and put my hand on his arm. “What’s bothering you?” I ask, looking deep into he’s brown eyes, “nothing really, I guess I am just overwhelmed.”
I give him a smile; **“the decision to change packs, must have been hard for him”** I say to Ness, **“he’s feeling relieved more than anything.”**
He puts an arm around me “I’m ok; it’s just, the finality of...” he drifts off; I put my hand on his cheek and give him a peck on the lips, “I understand, the relief and guilt, leaving what you know to start afresh here” I tell him; standing up and giving him another peck on the lips. “Come on,” I grab his hand and try to pull him off the sofa; “we don’t want to be late.” And I fail miserably. He pulls me back to him and kisses me. I feel his passion; his desire.
I mind link Alex and Jessica *‘we are going to be a little late’.*

Jessica’s POV
We got changed and head over to the training arena; Alex and myself get a mind link from Olivia. *‘We are going to be a little late’,* “Master Joe doesn’t like tardiness” Alex says as we reach the main entrance. Master Joe? Is that…? We see Uncle Joseph standing over near the first lot of bleachers; that explains his comment. “Uncle Joe” I smile giving him a big hug. He looks around “Olivia and Jonny said they will be a bit late” I tell him.
A frown crosses his face, “I guess we can get started then.” Alex gives me a kiss on my forehead and moves to the bleachers. “It’s Uncle Joe, outside this arena, In here, it’s Master Joe.” “Yes Sir” I say; giving him a salute.
“Have you ever used your Lycan form?” he asks me. “Lycan form?” “I take that as a no” he chuckles. “You are your human form, then there’s Celeste your wolf and your Lycan form is you and Celeste together” he explains. “Why don’t I know about this?” Master Joe thinks for a minute, “It’s something we all can do, but not all of us choose to use it.”
“Alex, come down here for a moment” Master Joe calls out. “Can you show Jessi your Lycan form?” Alex takes off his clothes and starts shifting. He grows from 6 foot 4 to over 9 feet, his auburn hair grows longer with Black streaks through it. Two black ears come out of his head. His brown eyes have a gold fleck through them. Black fur appears over his body and his hands and feet have grown claws. Fangs appear and there is a tail behind him; he looks stunning.
“What do you think?” he asks me. At least I think Alex is asking; it sounds like Alex and Jonas are speaking together. I give his leg a hug.
“Now you try” Master Joe says. “I don’t know how to.” “Celeste will help you” he says. I take off my clothes and place them on the ground next to me. **“Celeste?” “It’s ok Jessi; we are two individuals sharing the same mind. It is similar to shifting from human to wolf. To become Lycan; when we shift, we merge our mind together to become one powerful she-wolf”** she explains. **“How do we do that?” “When we shift, my conscious comes forward and we change into a wolf, instead of bringing my conscious forward, we link them together. It’s like grabbing onto my mind and pulling me out with you, give it a go”** she encourages.
Celeste comes forward in my mind. Concentrating, I open my mind for her to come in. I can feel us merging. It grows stronger and I feel myself getting taller. I look down at my arms, grey fur starts to appear. My hand develops claws. I place my hand to my head and feel the ears and reach behind to feel the tail. I speak “How did I do?” Celeste’s voice is layered with mine.
“Wow” Olivia gasps; her and Jonathon walking to where we were. “You’re late” Master Joe booms; “I don’t like tardiness; I want two laps of the training arena NOW” he shouts. “Dad!” Olivia complains, “there’s no dad here; It’s Master Joe, now get going.” I hear them both swearing as they take off around the arena.
Changing back; I reopened my mind and Celeste walks out of it. I pick up my clothes and put them on. “We need to build up your muscle strength” Master Joe tells me. He starts me with push ups and squats. “Once the muscles are stronger, we can proceed to hand-to-hand combat.” I stop mid squat “I’m not tall like Cathy or Mum.” He responds understanding my thought “your size can be a benefit, to fight doesn’t mean you need to be tall or strong. Being smaller means, you can move around your opponent easier. You will find, you will be quicker than they are. Use what you have; make it an advantage.”
Olivia and Jonathon finish their laps. “Fifty push ups each” Master Joe yells. They groan, going to the ground. I finish my squats and Alex hands me a bottle of water “you’re sexy when you sweat” giving me a grin.
“You’re done for the day; not you two” Master Joe shouts. I take Alex’s hand and we sit on the bleachers watching Master Joe barking more instructions to Jonathon and Olivia. “They won’t be late again” I giggle.
“Dad, can we do what you got Jess to do?” Jonathon asks. “Who?” “Sorry, Master Joe, can we do what you got Jess to do?” repeating his question. Joe looks at Jonathon; concern on his face. “I know why the girls didn’t know about their Lycan form, but I thought you would have known; given you were being trained to be the next Alpha.”
“I learnt how to fight in human and wolf form; I didn’t know anything about…what did you call it again?” “Lycan form, your father doesn’t know everything by the sounds of it” he chuckles, looking over at Alex. “If you want to give it a go, your wolf; what’s his name?” “Tyler” Jonny tells him. “Tyler will help you. Vanessa will help you too Liv” Master Joe encourages them.
Alex and myself come down from the bleachers to stand beside Master Joe. Jonathan and Olivia take off their clothes and hand them to me. Like Alex, Jonny grows to over 9 feet, his dark brown hair grows longer with brown streaks and black tips through it. He has two brown ears come out of his head and a brown tail appears. His brown eyes have a gold fleck through them, brown fur appears all over his body. Fangs and claws grow from his mouth, hands and feet. “Do I look scary” Jonny and Tyler say in unison.
Olivia grows to over 8 feet, her Chestnut brown hair grows all the way down her back. She has white fur on her stomach, feet and hands and brown fur on her back, legs and arms. Two brown ears come out of her head and a brown tail with white tip grows behind her. Her fangs and claws protrude from her hands, feet and mouth. “Wow, this is awesome” her and Vanessa say together.
“Ok, enough for today” Master Joe announces. “Livvy, I’m proud of you” he says to her as her dad, not her Master Trainer. “I’m proud of all of you” he remarks looking at the rest of us. Olivia and Jonathon shift back and I hand them their clothes.
Jonny and Liv put their clothes back on; Uncle Joe asks Olivia “Ready for your next round of training Liv?” “Ugh” she responds. “I’ll take that as a yes. We will see you guys later” he says to Alex, Jonathon and me, walking towards the arena entrance. Olivia gives Jonathon a kiss and follows after her father.
We head up to Jonathon’s office to discuss the upcoming Alpha Ceremony.
