Mr. Ken guided the way to room 25, a swarm of thoughts buzzing in his mind. He couldn't fathom what business had brought this man to his humble motel.
The sight of a Rolls Royce parked in his lot had left him puzzled and flabbergasted. To Mr. Ken, it signified one thing – that the guest in room 25 was no ordinary man. He was undoubtedly rich, but Mr. Ken had been entirely unaware of it all along.
"Darn it," he silently cursed himself, "I wonder how my staff, especially Tom and the others, have been treating this guest."
The situation left him perturbed, contemplating what had transpired under his very roof.
The notion that a man of wealth had been staying for an extended period without his knowledge left him with an unpleasant feeling, and concern for how this guest might have been treated during his stay.
He was so happy that a rich man was in his motel and at the same time anxious that this rich man would give a bad impression to other rich people about his motel if he was being treated poorly.
"I'll make sure Tom and the others pay for every action, if this man gives us a bad review." He thought to himself.
Upon reaching room 25, Mr. Ken and the man noticed it was empty. It raised a question in the man's mind, and he couldn't help but ask with furrowed brows.
"Is it empty?" The man queried, a mixture of confusion and suspicion crossing his features.
As he spoke, he cast a sidelong glance at Mr. Ken, waiting for an answer that would soothe his unease.
Mr. Ken, taken aback by the unexpected turn of events, stammered out a response, filled with fear that the guest might react negatively to this situation. "H...he must be downstairs," he fibbed, a bead of sweat forming on his forehead. He needed to find a solution quickly.
The man gave him a concerned look,as if he knows that he's lying and is able to read his mind.
"I'll summon everyone to the bar, Sir. If you don't mind."
His worry led him to rush down to the motel's bar, where he intended to gather all the guests.
His temper flared as he confronted Tom for his role in this mix-up. Anger laced his words as he berated the staff member, oblivious to Tom's confusion and fear.
"Tom, are you mad or something? Why do you have to give me wrong information about the guest, you idiot!" Mr. Ken scolded, slamming his hand on the counter for emphasis.
In response, Tom hastily retrieved the guest book from its place and handed it to Mr. Ken.
The act served as evidence to support Tom's original assertion, yet the situation was perplexing, leaving Mr. Ken baffled.
"Sir, I'm sure of what I said; that's the room."
Relieved by the sight of the evidence in the guest book, Mr. Ken's ire began to ebb.
He realized there was more to the situation than met the eye. Taking a deep breath to regain composure, he instructed Tom, his tone now less hostile but still firm.
"Tell everyone to come down to the bar," he ordered.
Tom went from room to room and began asking all the guests to come down to the bar. An order from Mr. Ken.
The guests were really upset about being asked to leave their rooms so suddenly. They started talking among themselves, expressing their frustrations and questions.
One person complained, "What's happening? I already paid for my room, and now they're kicking us out?"
Another person added, sounding both angry and confused, "We deserve an explanation, don't we?"
A guest who had been enjoying a nap wasn't pleased, saying, "I was in the middle of my nap. This better be important."
Over in a corner, two friends exchanged puzzled glances, with one whispering, "This is strange. I hope it's not an emergency."
The sex worker and the guest also protested, saying, "They should at least make it up to us for this inconvenience. We were in the middle of something sweet."
"Relax, everyone. The man with the Rolls Royce is looking for someone." Tom calmed them down.
"Oh! Is he coming down to the bar?"
"Yes."
"Well, if he's coming to address us, no problem. I'll go."
They all began to leave their room and go to the bar to know why the big man wanted to see them and hear what he would say.
James, unaware that they were looking for him was still relaxing in the bar, hoping that he would secretly walk up to the man and demand the diamond black card without anyone knowing.
But when everyone began coming down to bar and talking about the current situation, he realized what was happening. He quickly became agitated.
"Hey, Mister, What's happening?" He asked a customer seated beside him.
"I heard the big boss is coming down to address us here in the bar." The man replied.
"But why?"
"I don't know. It better be about money. That's all I cared."
James mind skipped a beat. He still doesn't want to be known and was thinking of what to do.
Quickly, he unlocked his phone and sent a message to Lana asking her to call the Man with the Rolls Royce whom she sent to deliver the diamond black card to pretend as if he was the boss and that James was just an ordinary man who had was working for him.
James hoped that this ruse would keep his true identity hidden and prevent any unwanted attention.
But his hope was bashed when the man walked into the bar and then proceeded to walk towards him.
He turned to avoid being seen by the man because he knew what the man would do.
But he was not fast enough as the man had already caught sight of him.
"Young, Master. I brought you the card." The man said while genuflecting to James.
All eyes turned towards James.
