CHAPTER 98
ONE DAY BEFORE THE WEDNESDAY YASINTA WAS FOUND.
Tuesday found Monalisa at her father's house, the Reverend John. She had not seen her father and didn't want to look for him because he promised her that he would return on his own after finishing his duties. Despite trying hard to search everywhere, she still didn't know which part of the country her boyfriend, Jason, was in. The question was, where could she look for him in such a big city? She wished to share pictures of her and her boyfriend, but she realized it would create a great danger, as she was a secret security agent from a big country. The answer that came to her was to go to the hospital, where she felt she would get information about her man.
She thought about going to the hospital because it's common for someone to report to the hospital when they have lost a loved one or a relative. The body is usually kept in the hospital before burial. Knowing Jason's lifestyle, and studying in a country like the United States, she was sure they wouldn't go to any other hospital except the National Hospital. So, her calculations told her to go there; she had to know something, and indeed, she decided to start her journey to that place early in the morning.
On the other hand, Nayrah, On Monday, she couldn't go to work because of her parents' problems. Tuesday was the day she planned to start reporting officially at the National Hospital. That was the day Junior, as she knew him, promised her that it would be the last day they would meet, so the woman shouldn't take advantage of him, thinking she could talk to him as she felt like it. Not to mention, it was also the day he promised to introduce her to Jason to answer her countless questions, which had been bothering her mind.
The night of debt doesn't delay dawn, but the day of luck is usually late. That's how it was for the beautiful Nayrah; she saw her day as if it weren't moving. She really wanted to go and do what she was promised by the person who had suddenly come into her life and decided to completely change her life. Medicine was her professional hospital.
Junior was in his black suit and black cap resembling a Japanese man. He was the one driving the car Nayrah boarded, while they had another car with young men dressed in suits, not less than four of them, inside. It didn't take long before they entered the gates of the hospital and went to park the car.
They seemed to have missed each other by about ten minutes, during which Monalisa had already arrived and entered the hospital. Monalisa's appearance and the type of car she had come with were enough to convey to everyone who saw her that she was the queen of her family. She had a good life, just like Messi with his soccer ball when he put it on his left foot. She reached the reception and explained she wanted to see the hospital's chief doctor. With money, who can't? The simple answer is whoever has it. That's what Monalisa used to easily achieve her goal of meeting the hospital's chief.
"Good Morning," Monalisa greeted the elder man.
"Morning, welcome miss," the doctor responded cheerfully after receiving the greeting.
The way the woman looked, he knew it was his lucky day because she would soon open her wallet smoothly.
"I'm so sorry, sir, I was out of town studying, but unfortunately, I lost my partner, who had family problems, so he came back to the country to solve them. Unfortunately, to this day, I have not been able to reach him or hear from him anywhere. I have searched for him but have not found any trace of his whereabouts. I need to know if he is safe. I beg for your help," the doctor was very surprised by Monalisa's explanation because, in all those explanations, there was no part where she was supposed to contribute anything or provide any help.
So, he decided to ask,
"Miss, I don't see how I am involved in your matter. I don't even see how I can help you here." These explanations made Monalisa realize that she had given half-explanations to the doctor.
"Oh, I forgot to explain a bit better. He had a family bereavement problem, so I know if that happened, then the person's body must have been in the hospital, and in those people's lives, I am sure they brought him here, nowhere else. So, I need you to show me the CCTV cameras here for a few days back to see if I can see him because if he came here, I will see him, and then I will give you whatever amount you need if it's a bother to you." The word "bother" made the doctor sit up straight to investigate thoroughly.
"What's that person's name? And how will I trust that he really is your partner?"
"His name is Jason, and I also have pictures that I took with him," the woman spoke as she searched for pictures on her phone.
However, when she mentioned the name Jason, the doctor was very startled, although he didn't want to show openly that the situation caused turmoil for him. The picture she showed made him raise his eyebrows to look carefully at Monalisa until the woman noticed.
"Is there a problem?" She asked the chief doctor, after seeing him staring at her.
"No, there is no problem, but I am trying to recall because it seems like I've seen this young man around here. Let me follow you so we can check; maybe we can find him in the pictures or videos because many people come here, and I can't remember them all," the doctor spoke as he got up from his chair to lead them to the camera room.
It's not that he was wondering where he saw this person; he remembered very well that he had come there with the IGP and needed to examine the bodies of his relatives.
They arrived at the camera room and started with the events of the day Jason arrived from the United States, as Monalisa was sure that was the day he entered the country. It was only a matter of a short time before Jason's face, accompanied by the IGP, appeared on the large screens. Monalisa was taken aback, if not thrilled. While in this state, they were startled by the statement of a young man who was also in the computer room.
"The person you are looking for is in the hospital right now."
"What?" Monalisa asked in shock as if she had lost her mind.
The young man didn't say anything more than to enlarge the picture of the person who was directly visible in the videos retrieved from the surveillance cameras.
"Where is he right now?" she asked urgently.
"He's on the second floor, on the right side. There's a large open area where he's standing," the young man spoke, ensuring the doctor clearly saw the face of the man in the expensive suit.
Monalisa reached into her small purse and pulled out a bundle of money, which she handed to the chief doctor, then hurriedly left the room. She didn't want to miss finding this person.
