\[A few minutes ago\]

A puff of smoke was still being puffed by Oliv, who was already on his third cigarette.

John and the other two men were still in the same position, as Oliv looked around the luxury hotel.

So many cars were passing by, taking turns dropping off and picking up the guests who came.

Oliv's burly body was still leaning against the wall of the car, with his hand movements alternately tucking and removing cigarettes from his lips.

Almost a few twelve minutes had passed since the call from Jovanka ended, and of course Oliv was still focusing his mind on that.

The man's mind was filled with scattered pieces of memories, which he thought had been stored impeccably.

But it turned out that just hearing that one name was so devastating to the feelings of a fighter like Oliver Janson.

Gamaliel's replacement was still on his feet and immersed in his own stream of thoughts, as John rose from his seat.

Approaching Oliv, the man again took out the same communication device. A cell phone that had been in his pants pocket.

"Incoming call from a number that is also hidden information," said John approaching, with his hand extended towards Oliv.

Hurriedly throwing away his cigarette butt and extinguishing the tip of the fire with his shoe, Oliv hurried to accept what John offered.

John did not immediately turn around, instead waiting with a body that was no less standing exactly in front of Oliver.

Oliv's eyeballs glared at the screen, as the man took a breath before scrolling later.

"Hello?" he replied in a watchful tone.

John watched and listened, occasionally turning his head to the right and left to check things out.

"Have you thought about it?" Jovanka's voice came back on the other end, and just like that Oliv's body stiffened again.

"Damn it, Jovanka," the man swore. "You shouldn't have asked or waited for my answer. As you must know, not a single fighter in our organization would dare to defect. Especially for someone like you."

Oliv really said that sentence full of scorn and mockery. The man didn't want Jovanka to think the woman was on a cloud, despite the fact that Oliv was almost shaken when Jovanka dredged up the old memories she had earlier.

A small chuckle was heard on the other end of the phone held by Oliv. It was clear that Jovanka didn't seem to have given up, as evidenced by the tone of her voice which did not weaken.

"I'm not giving you a second chance, Oliver," she said. "The ten minutes I gave you earlier should be enough, to make you decide how you live in the future."

Oliv's fingers clenched into fists again, as he turned his head to meet John's gaze, which had been directed straight at him.

John was still paying attention, even though he couldn't hear what Oliv was talking about and who he was talking to.

"I thought you knew me well," Oliv replied not to be outdone. "But you still don't seem to know who you're dealing with."

The man took a breath to fill his chest cavity that was starting to get tight, due to the anger and hatred that was back in there.

Even hearing Jovanka's voice made him sick, as Oliv now turned to signal John. Forming the word 'laptop' with his lips without making a sound, the man was giving orders.

Jovanka still didn't want to stop. Realizing she would not be able to fight Lexton's organization alone, the woman simply thought of what if she pulled Oliv to join her side.

Bringing Joaquin's name back into the air, Jovanka had been so confident it would shake Oliv and make him switch to her favor.

But it looks like Jovanka was wrong, because there is no sign that Oliv will betray Lexton until this moment.

"It's just an armory, Oliver," Jovanka tried to argue. "You can say that it was all a mistake, and Lexton will surely forgive you. You get a pardon, and you get Joaquin back. Isn't this a very attractive offer?"

John returned with a laptop running, sitting it right in front of the hood of the car. Several antennas and transmitters were attached to their organization's communication device, as Oliv now turned around to nod his head at John.

The man had to pick up the signal emitted from Jovanka's call, to try to track where exactly she was.

"If you think I'm going to defect, then you're sadly mistaken," Oliv replied. "Joaquin and I are a thing of the past. And I really don't need her anymore. Neither in my current life, nor in the future."

John moved quickly to plug in a device on the cell phone Oliv was still using, followed by the darting of the man's fingers on the laptop keys.

Giving Oliv the code to keep him on the call, John was trying to locate the caller.

Jovanka could be heard giggling again. John was still busy in front of his laptop, with Oliv who still refrained from slamming the cellphone. Even hearing Jovanka laugh made his ears hurt.

"There's something from your past that Joaquin didn't tell you," Jovanka said confidently. "If I told you now, would you still reject me?"

Oliv's jaw hardened, grunting in annoyance that Jovanka kept trying to lead him to the dark past.

"I don't care," Oliv scolded. "How she lives now is no longer my business, especially not yours!"

A two-second pause, before Oliv then continued.

"You're wasting your time trying to get me to betray you," he continued. "You'd better get ready to say goodbye to the world, because I'll make sure you're not breathing anytime soon."

Oliv moved to now stand directly behind John, watching the screen with the red dot flashing on it. It showed one of the places in the city, which was the biggest guess that that was where Jovanka had made the phone call from.

"You can't possibly do it," Jovanka lowered her tone. "Because if you refuse, then Joaquin and your son's lives will be at stake."

As if struck by lightning in broad daylight, Oliv's body froze like a statue. The man was unable to say anything, shaken by what he had just heard.

"You don't know that, do you?" Jovanka spoke up again, finding Oliv who was probably hesitating on the other end. "Joaquin was pregnant when you left her. And now she's on her own raising your children, when you've made absolutely no effort to do anything for them."

Still unable to get a grip on himself, Oliv had really been hit by a very hard rock in the past few hours.

Just now Joaquin's name had come up, and now there was another fact that Oliv had never thought about before.

'Is what Jovanka said true?' the man's mind wondered. 'Is Joaquin really carrying my child?'

Just now Oliv tried to open his lips, but Jovanka's voice was already heard.

"You tracked me down, Oliver! Damn it!" the woman cursed in a high tone. "Asshole! I'm going to make sure Joaquin and your son are in danger, as well as your boss who's enjoying some cake up there!"

The explosion of rage implied by Jovanka's shout woke Oliv from his reverie.

"Jovanka, you!"

"Sixty seconds," Jovanka hissed. "Sixty seconds you have to save my ex-lover's lover."

Oliv's eyeballs widened as he reflexively called out to the other two. With a flick of her hand, Oliv informed them that the Alpha and Aurora were in danger.

At that silent command, the two Alfacht clan fighters were already running with all their might in a race against time.

"I didn't know Lexton had a taste for kids like her," Jovanka sneered again. "But she really is nothing compared to me."

The call ended abruptly, with Oliv now reflexively stepping into the luxury hotel.

Running as fast as they could, the three fighters risked everything to make sure their leader remained in a safe state.

Until finally one of the two fighters reached the roof first, shouting loudly when Lexton lowered his head to give Aurora a peck on the forehead.
