Without wasting anymore time, i flew to south Africa to find her. But when i finally got to her hotel room door, i lacked the courage to knock so i booked the room right next to hers.

The following morning i gathered my courage and knocked on her door. It took a while before she responded, i guessed i woke her up.

When she opened the door, her face instantly darkened.

" Emma” i called out softly but her expression didn't change a bit.

" What are you doing here.?” I asked furiously like a boiling lava waiting to spill out.

" I'm sorry” I whispered, reaching out my hand to touch her face like i always dis but she slapped it off.

" Don't you dare. Why are you here.? You baby mama is somewhere waiting for you. Aren't you going to protect her anymore” she sneered mockingly and my heart ached.

" I don't love her” i softly countered. She burst into laughter like i was a joke. " Yea, you don't love her. But while i suffered on earth, you were with her making babies, because she's familiar and safe.” She fumed but when i opened my mouth to defend myself, she yelled at me to get out and slammed the door.

Heartbroken, I turned back and quickly entered my room before any other patriot of the hotel would recognize me.

When she emerged again, she was dressed flamboyantly in a beautiful outfit but i could only watch painfully from the distance.

After waiting for almost the whole day and no sign of her, my worry took a better part of me so i stepped out to go look for her.

But outside the hotel, i saw her bid a guy and pregnant girl good bye as they went off in a taxi. I wanted to go forward and ask if they were her friends but i didn't have the courage to, so i quickly ducked back inside and decided to wait at her door.

“Why can't you just let me be.?!" She flared the moment she saw me.

“I'm not leaving here without you" i softly but stubbornly blurted out.

"Then keep on standing there" she curtly replied and shoved me aside, reaching for her keys.

There's no way I'm letting her slip away again, so i gently took her hand and spun her to look into my eyes.

“You left me panicking Emma. Why did you come so far without informing me.?" I asked sincerely pained.

But she turned away and sneered. “No i didn't leave you panicking. I left you taking care of your fainting baby mama"

“I don't love her.." i tried countering

“But you fucked her.! Please Reno just let me be okay.? That bitch, I'm sure she even has something to do with the disappearance of my tattoo" she cut in.

Wait! Did she just mention her tattoo?

“What did you mean.?" I lowered my voice and asked.

“Well– when i was heading home from the club, i heard Finly" she began.

“Who's Finly.?" I anxiously jumped in.

“My guardian. I think my powers are just temporarily suspended. And come to think of it– when that Charline or whatever her name is gets close by, i feel my energy surging” she concluded.

My breath hitched and i wish Charline was there so i could strangle her on the spot. That deceitful motherfucker. I can never be with someone like that.

“That bitch" I cursed under my breath.

“And that doesn't change the fact she's pregnant with ‘your’ child Reno.” Emma said in a hurt voice and shut the door in my face without giving me a chance.

I ran my hand through my hair. If i reveal identity to the lobby staff, i knew i could easily get a spare key to her room but it'll cause a stir which I'm not ready for.

So i decided to disguise and bribe them instead and it worked.

I gained entrance into the room and sheepishly sat on the bed, and waited for her to come out of the shower.

She stepped out of the shower with damp hair and nothing but a towel on, and my blood pressure rose immediately i saw her.

She froze too after seeing me and shirked loudly.

“How'd you get the keys to my room.?" She demanded furiously, picking up a feather duster close by and hurling it straight at me

But i effortlessly dodged it and laughed to taunt her.

“I've my ways" i replied in a teasing voice, running my fingers across my hair.

“What's your plan.? Get out of my room before i call the security" she fumed.

“I'll go when you've forgiven me baby girl"i teased again.

“In your dreams. I'm never doing such.!" She retorted.

“We'll see" i replied standing up, my voice suddenly husky with the heat I'm feeling inside me.

She backed away but i continued advancing till our faces was just itches away.

" Don't.. don't come any further” she stammered, as i cornered her against the wall. Her cheeks turned bright red.

“As you wish your highness. But do you really mean it.?" I whispered teasingly, bringing my face closer to hers.

“Of course. Don't cross your boundaries or I won't be nice" she warned.

I pulled back a little, but my hand was still on the wall, trapping her close enough to savor her vanilla scent.

“I don't like playing nice honey and you know that" i said my voice barely above a whisper now.

I saw her panicked expression and smirked inwardly. Her defenses had began to crumble.

My delicate fingers traced her facial features, and she shivered slightly, instinctively tightening the towel around her body.

“You're always so magnificent" he i couldn't help complimenting my eyes inadvertently pinned on her trembling lips. " Why are you trembling so much.? Are you expecting something.?” i softly teased pulling her lip.

She rolled her eyes. " Expecting what.? I'm not trembling” she tried lying but her voice betrayed her as was a slight tremor in that sentence.

" Even your voice has betrayed you” i laughed and and my lips crashed on hers in a kiss before she could respond.

With a trembling heart, i slowly guided her towards the bed, still locked in a hungry kiss. But the instant her body touched the bed, her towel fell off.
