Chapter 103 Light and darkness
Leviathan was struck from behind by the lighting and collapsed to the ground. As the dust settled, i saw that imposing silhouette again.

Lucifer

“Well-done princess. I think it's time i dispose of this trash" he said, pointing his sceptre towards the dying Rexy.

“Nooo" a loud cry came from behind and Valarie ran towards us, falling on her knees.

" Spare him my lord please. Don't.. don't destroy him completely” she begged in a pool of tears, holding on to the sceptre.

" Let go woman before I lose my temper. It's time this nuisance of a son learns his lesson." He thundered and lightning flashed across the city.

Valarie ran to Rexy and used her body as a shield. “Get off him woman" lucifer warned his eyes turning into blazing embers. “I can see you want to rebel too"

“If you're going to destroy him, then destroy me too" she wept, still holding on tightly.

My heart softened and i quickly knelt before lucifer. A flicker of surprise and panic flashed across his always expressionless face.

“What are you doing princess.?" He asked in confusion.

" Please spare him Lord Lucifer” i begged.

He sighed and quickly raise me from the floor. " You can't bow or show reverence to me in any form princess, least heaven unleash its wrath on us” he softly said to my surprise.

“So because of you, I'll let him go” he concluded and pointed the sceptre at Rexy. A dazzling purple light emitted from his body and entered the sceptre in the blink of an eye.

Rexy slowly mutated back to a human, his horns retracted, wings changed to smoke. " You stripped him of his powers” Valarie tried to argue but Lucifer didn’t pay her any mind.

" Leviathan…. Traitor of the threshold of hell." He began slowly, smiling like a grim reaper as he advanced towards him. Leviathan eyes filled with horror and his previous imposing figure shrank miserably.

“You've failed" he said and pointed the sceptre towards him. His body crumbled to dust and was blown away by the still raging windstorm.

With a snap of his finger, the curse books appeared in his hand.

“Time is running out” lucifer muttered and formed a portal with his sceptre. " Look for a new guard” he ordered Valarie who was still reluctantly looking back at Rexy.

We returned back to Lucifer's palace in hell. Reno was still unconscious so he was put in confinement.

" He'll be fine” a voice suddenly came from behind me as i stared through the glass door into the room where he was kept. It was Will's dad.

I nodded subtly, filled with mixed feelings. " How's your wife.?” I asked in a cracked voice.

" She's coming around. Thank you for telling Will what to do” he appreciated.

“I.. didn't say anything. Told Will about what.?" i replied in confusion.

" How to control the qi within him. Weren't you the one.?” He asked with furrowed brows.

" Oh yes i remember. It's nothing” i quickly covered up, realizing it must have been Reno who told him.

" And quick advice princess. I know this might hurt your feelings but the earlier you know, the better. Light and darkness is not supposed to mingle because it's a taboo to the heavens. I noticed the way you look at him like someone already smitten. You have to let go of every feeling you have for him…

“Segastious"

Lucifer suddenly called from the end of the hallway.

“My lord" he replied and quickly bowed.

“Princess.. i have something to tell you" Lucifer addressed me, ignoring segastious.

I smiled subtly at the akward man and left with lucifer.

“You have to give a live speech to the kingdom tomorrow then we send you off the the celestial city. Since it has been confirmed you're the real princess, you can't stay here any longer” he said.

I felt like I've been struck by lightning and stumbled back a little.

" Can.. can i still see Reno.?” I asked in a low voice.

He shook his head a little amused. " No princess, what's your deal with him.?”

" Nothing” i mumbled. " I'll be ready for the broadcast by tomorrow” i added and hurried away to Reno's room.

I threw myself on him and cried into his chest. His chest didn't move. But i pressed closer anyway, like my tears could wake him.

" I don't wanna leave..” i repeated over and over.

“We're going to be visited by heavens wrath princess." Segastious voice came from behind me as he slowly helped me to a seat.

“I love him" i whispered sniffing. His eyes widened like he was having a heart attack.

“Abomination princess. Please let this be between us forever. Nobody must hear about it if not you're going down along with the rest of us" he chided.

“How are you so sure about that.?" I snapped, feeling my anger rising.

“Light and darkness don't mix princess" he replied softly, standing up. “I'll take my leave now"

" Well.. i guess i have my prince back now” Charline snickered as she walked into the room with a smug expression.

" Go back to you city of light and leave us alone. You're just a representative of heaven and you have no business with us” she continued proudly.
" Go and fall in love with one of your own”

I smiled and looked up at her. " I didn't fall for one of my own unfortunately. I fell for THE DEVIL'S SON and I'm going to fight till he's mine" i promised under my breath and stormed off.

For the remaining part of the day, i locked myself and refused to talk to anyone. My mind was in a turmoil and I knew the battle ahead wasn't going to be easy.

“Master, what they are saying is true. Reno is the prince of hell and he's darkness himself. You'll be invited to heaven and you'll surely find someone that is more handsome than Reno will ever.." Finly began to say but i cut her off.

“I'm getting him no matter the cost" i stubbornly cut in.

“You could be stripped of your powers and position"

“I don't care about those"

“You've come this far master only to lose everything.?"

There was a knock on the door again. " I just want to be alone for now.!” I yelled at the person but the knock came again.

Frustrated and angry by the disturbance, i decided to open up and give the person a piece of my mind but i froze immediately the door opened.
