Chapter 54: Hidden powers.
Amaarae's POV
My hands slipped into my top, I groped my boobs that filled my hands and flicked my nipples that got hardened by the gust of wind that slapped them harshly.
I quivered slightly, shaking softly but still slipped the panties off my leg as I hooked the comb into my pussy and jammed them into my walls, letting the euphoria shake through my body and make my eyes roll back.
“ Ahhh.. mhmm fuck yes.” I yelled softly into the night, as my legs coiled around the chair in exhaustion.
The night had been a blur, a tangled mess of thoughts that wouldn’t let go, no matter how hard I tried to sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, my body stiffened, my mind still running, chasing a thousand thoughts, none of them clear. I needed to rest, and needed to quiet the storm inside me. But sleep came slowly, like trying to wade through thick mud. When it finally took me, it was no better.
I dreamt.
The world was dark, shadowed, twisted. It felt like the kind of dream that pulls you in with its weight, drags you deeper, no matter how much you struggle. I could hear whispers, soft at first, like a breeze, but then they grew louder, clearer. It was my name. "Amaarae... Amaarae..." The voice was soft, like it was calling me from somewhere near, yet so far away. It wasn’t Lucas, it wasn’t anyone I knew, but the sound of it pulled at me, gripped me, tugging me out of my sleep.
I jerked awake, the cold wind brushing against my arm and giving me a slash on my face but still.. I heard the voice. It couldn't be unheard or ignored even though I tried to shake it off.. it wasn't a dream, it was more of reality.
“No.” I muttered softly under my breath.
"Amaarae, come," the voice said again. It sounded familiar, like something I should recognize, but I couldn't quite place it. I was floating, lost in a fog of confusion. Where was it coming from? Why did it feel so urgent, so important? "Follow... come to the forest, behind Lucas’s house."
The words struck me hard. The forest. It was behind Lucas’s house, I knew that place. But it felt wrong. So wrong. The deep parts of it, the parts where no one ever goes. The forbidden parts. It wasn’t a place people talked about, let alone visited. But the voice, it kept coming, insistent, pulling me.
I tried to resist. But then it happened. A force, an invisible hand, seemed to reach out and grab me. It jerked me awake. My heart was racing, my body stiff, like I had just run a marathon. I wanted to sit up, to control my own movements, but my body... it didn’t listen. I was still, my chest rising and falling with shallow breaths, but my limbs wouldn’t obey me.
I tried to move, to get up, to scream, but nothing. Not a sound. I could feel the air around me, could hear the soft rustling of my sheets, but the pull from that dream, from the voice, was too strong. I wasn’t in control anymore. My body began to move, walking out of the room, down the hallway, out the door. I wanted to fight it, to tell myself to stop, to go back, but I couldn’t. I could only feel the pull, the force pushing me forward, dragging me toward the forest.
The cool night air hit me as I stepped outside. I could feel eyes on me, hear the soft murmurs of people behind me. They were following me, whispering to each other, questioning my every step. "What’s wrong with her?" I heard one of them ask. "She’s not acting right," someone else added, and I could almost feel their gaze burning into my back. I could hear them all, their voices mixed with the sound of my own breathing, but I couldn’t respond. I couldn’t stop moving.
It was as if my feet were being guided, as if the earth itself was drawing me in, pushing me forward. Each step I took felt heavy, distant, but I had no choice. The whispers in my head were getting louder. "Amaarae... come... deeper," the voice echoed. "Deeper into the forest."
I could see the trees ahead, tall and looming, their branches twisting like skeletal fingers in the moonlight. The darkness seemed to grow thicker the closer I got. The forest, I knew, was always there, but tonight it felt different. It was... waiting for me. Waiting for this moment. I couldn’t see any other lights now, only the shadows, the cold earth beneath my feet.
Behind me, I could still hear the people, their voices muffled, but growing more distant. They were scared, I could feel that. They didn’t understand. But the forest... i understood. It had always been there, watching, waiting. And it was calling me. I had to go.
I moved faster, my body moving on its own, following the path that twisted deeper into the heart of the woods. The trees grew denser, their branches closing in, trapping me in a world of shadow. But I didn’t stop. I couldn’t. The voice, always there, guiding me. "Deeper, Amaarae. Come... come to me."
I could feel the weight of it now, the weight of the forest itself pressing in on me. It was heavier than I had ever remembered, like the very air was thick with something unspoken. I was being pulled, like a thread in the wind, until finally, I reached the center. The place that no one went to. The forbidden heart of the forest.
And then, just as I stepped into the clearing, everything stopped.
The voices faded away. The world felt still, but it was not quiet. There was a presence here, something older than time itself, something waiting. And then, I understood.
The voice wasn’t just calling me
—it was calling me home.
I was there, I reached and my eyes tore open. I gasped from the beauty that was carved out here, the voice has disappeared and there was none of it again but it didn't mean that it wasn't here.
I had an underlying feeling that it was still here, I could feel it in my bones as I looked around in search for it.
But-
Suddenly, there was a glow and I raised my hands to block my eyes as it was too bright and was moving like a human.
Something was thrown at me and I caught it, I was also tugged from behind and I fell.
I felt myself falling into his arms and I looked at him with an annoyed look, looked into my palm and it wasn't there.
I pulled away immediately and yelled at him,
“ Where is it?”
