Emiliano was sitting in his office as he fixed his eyes on the file which the marketing department supervisor bought to him and with vivid eyes he went through each and every word carefully, the supervisor who was Trey looked at him as he tried to read his facial expression but he found it difficult because his boss was unreadable
"As far as I remember, this report is for this week but Trey remind me this... how did we lose so much in a damn week"Emiliano finally looked up and said with some coldness to his tone and Trey who was afraid of hearing the very words from his boss gave out a small cough and prepared to speak, this was the first time he had come to his boss and wanted to be his right hand man at all cost hence he needed to impress Emiliano
"S... sir well I.."Trey tried to gather words to explain but his throat had gone suddenly, it was enough to know what was happening and he knew he needed to tell his boss what had gone wrong
"Inform me why suddenly our company has gone down"Emiliano was asking calmly as the river water as he waited for the man to speak and seeing his boss's controlled angry Trey cleared his throat and spoke anyway
"Sir that's because we have competition among us, recently we have paid attention to the other competitive company our rival and well"he said and emiliano gestured for him to go on
"Who is our rival?"he had no idea the Alvaro had a rival in the entire world who would match up to their company
"Sir.. its Mexico's very own n... Navarro Enterprise, the Navarro company has expanded over the years and has taken part of Europe as well as the whole of Mexico and united States and now I think they are becoming even more powerful by the day"Trey said and Emiliano's expression darkened thinking and wondering who the hell were the Navarro Enterprise
"Really, tell me who runs the company, I mean the family members"he said nonchalantly and Trey swallowed dry air and proceeded to explain
"Seth Navarro, the founder and current CEO, he has three children"he posed and waited for his boss to react but Emiliano kept his cool as he listened to him and nodded every now and then
"Who are they?, be more specific"
"He has two daughters and a younger son who is not yet of age to take over the family business"he was lucky he knew some information about the Navarro family in question
"Sir the eldest daughter is a criminal lawyer by profession and recently just got divorced"Trey said and Emiliano's eyes shone with interest as he played with his fingers
"Tell me why are you telling me about their personal lives"emiliano asked and trey got confused, just now he asked him about the information on them so why the sudden change, Trey was completely lost as he adjusted his specs and prepared to say something but Emiliano stopped him because now that he had thought more about the situation, he was certain if the so called rival family was twice as powerful then having a partnership with them would help escalate his company to greater heights
"Tell me more about the second daughter"Emiliano demanded an trey finally relaxed
"Well sir…the second daughter is unknown, she doesn't appear on TV or the Internet, it's like she's a ghost for some reason"trey said and emiliano raised a brow at him
"How old is she?"
"I think twenty one sir,"he said and Emiliano nodded with interest, he was now interested because if he managed to have something with any of the Navarro daughters in question then his company would benefit from such a reunion, the Navarro name was powerful and if the Alvaro's get involved with them then both parties involved would benefit
"Call in Perez"he ordered and without hesitation, Trey took out his tablet, clicked a few times on the screen, set it on the table for Emiliano to see and after some time a deep playful voice answered
"Hello hello my good man, I see you remembered I exist now"a man with blonde brown hair with an oval shaped face and a mustache answered and with a mischievous smile Emiliano leaned back to the grinand replied
"Well I didn't know you existed until I had work for you"Emiliano said and Perez who was sitting in what liked like a living room said and supposed on his red wine and chuckled
"I should have known, tell me what do you need me for?"Perez went straight to the point and Emiliano smirked
"I want info about a certain Mexican kitten that has taken my interest recently"he said as he adjusted his white shirt sleeves folding them up to his elbows and sat in a comfortable position waiting for Perez who had gone silent for some reason
"And may I know who the kitten is because as far as I know you... you don't take interest in Mexican women"Perez asked with a raised brow as he observed Emiliano
"Second Navarro daughter, tell me more"Emiliano told him and saw a hint of surprise on Perez's face but the man composed himself as a grin grew on his face such that Emiliano wondered if he knew the person in question or not
"Ahh! My good friend may I know why the sudden interest in the little kitten?"he said in a taunting voice that has Trey who was standing to the sides waiting for his boss to finish wonder the kind of language the two men were using to communicate, yes it was English but it was the way they were talking which made him think otherwise
"That's my business, just tell me what I need to know"emiliano countered back with a refusal leaving Perez with no way to deny but at the same time the man was too shrewd hence he needed to be cautious
"I'll have you know that the little kitten in question is... a tough nut to crack not your average woman Emil"Perez said not caring what emiliano would do as he adjusted his laptop and sunk more in his sofa, Trey stole a glance and observed the man was only in a red robe which exposed his bare chest and legs, his hair looked wet and on top of the chair he was sitting in was a black bra, muffling laughter Trey lowered his head knowing full well his boss had interrupted his friend
"Is there a nut I can't crack Perez? As you know emiliano never fails"he said with so much pride that Perez had the urge to laugh and he did it anyway
"My man, the little kitten is not your type I assure you... your mission will be a complete failure"Perez didn't waste time as he told emiliano on, emiliano creased his brows as he pondered over what Perez had said and a small frown appeared on his face, there was no one on earth who he couldn't conquer not matter how tough they were and the ghost kitten in question was no difference, the only little kitten he had been having a hard time to tame was that little spitting cobra at his place Sia
"How special is this little ghost kitten, it seems even the mighty Perez is afraid of her"he was certain for Perez to say such things it only meant he had taken his advances towards the lady and had failed miserably which gave him even more appetite to pursue the little kitten, he loved hunting for his own food and a tough prey is what turned him on,
"Word of advice, stay clear of her because as I see it... your encounter with her will be disastrous"he simply told emiliano and emiliano smirked in enjoyment, he was right the woman in question wasn't so ordinary
"Then I have to let you go for you don't have what I want"Emiliano said with a smile and cut the call and looked up at Perez who was still processing what had just happened, the two men had a weird way of talking they were obviously insulting each other but in a good and polite way, he had a lot to learn from his boss
"Trey, do you want a raise?"emiliano asked trey
"Y.. yes sir"he nodded
"Do you want promotion from a marketing supervisor to a managing director"he asked again making Trey wonder what his boss was going on about
"Y.. yes sir"
"Good then get me as much useful information on this ghost girl within two weeks and I promise to make your life in this company heaven"emiliano said seriously and Trey's eyes shone in delight thinking about how his life would be like if he was the MD of the biggest company ever, he would be respected
"Sure sure sir I'll do that right away, rest assured"Trey nodded repeatedly with a full smile and emiliano was moved, all he needed was meet this Navarro ghost kitten, play around with her and boom he was in but before that he needed to get rid of the little parrot in his house who never listened to him but how?
"Good I…"before he could finish his office door burst open and Sia walked in wearing black jeans and black long sleeved shirt with a black scarf hiding her face carrying Diego in her arms, Emiliano lowered his head as he clenched his fist wondering why the black and white horror movie heroin had followed him all the way to his office the only place he thought he was safe from her clutches.
