"Mom just look at him, he's so cute"Carmen commented as she raised little Diego in the air for him to stretch his little fragile body, she had to admit the little one was way too cute he never cried much, all it took for him to slumber was a nice warm bath, a set of fresh clothes and of course a hot meal for him
"Just like how Emiliano used to be, such a darling baby"Jane commented as her eyes glimmered with joy loving having the little one around, the huge mansion was dead before, but it had become lively having the little one to cry and fuss about
"Yeah I know, I'm so happy, mother I just wish that good for nothing Emiliano would man up and accept this little one"saying, so Carmen kissed his cheeks and cradled him in her arms carefully while supporting his head with her left arm, they're currently in the living room waiting for Sia to get ready since they had some shopping to do
"He will come around if those lousy desperate women go far away from him"the old lady said with disdain in her eyes, for years since Emiliano had grown to age she had tried to make him stop his bad behavior however Emiliano was one who viewed life as too short to sit and do nothing that was why he went all out in having an exciting life
"Mom we need him to get settled now, he has this little one, and I don't expect him to stay single"Carmen fired up just as Emiliano in a blue suit approached them but once he saw the presence of the baby, he turned to walk away, but his grandma stopped him
"Come here boy"her commanding voice was enough to stop him and with a frown Emiliano cursed repeatedly and made his way to them with a fake smile on his face, deep down he was feeling frustrated
"What is it old lady, do you need my services"he said ignoring the existence of the baby and prompt on the sofa far away from where his mom was sitting with the child
"Stop being funny, we need you to drive us to the mall"Carmen said plainly and Emiliano narrowed his eyes at her
"Don't you have drivers to do that?"he should have known his mom and grandma were planning something against him recalling what he found when he returned home the previous night, he found his mom busy playing with the child and his grandma enjoying herself as she watched and laughed sporadically, and he knew they were long gone and trapped by the little witch, and now they were asking him to act as a driver, how ridiculous, he thought
"We want you, these drivers can't be trusted as you can see, we are going with the baby and I trust no one but you to do the job"this time his grandma said with a smile and Emiliano's jaw clenched from anger, he was in such a predicament all because of that woman who has come to ruin his life and he was not going to be a part of her…
"Wow"Emiliano heard Carmen exclaim and with curiosity he stopped his thoughts as his eyes followed her gaze only to see the dreamer walking down the stairs elegantly as if she were some president's daughter but something about how she looked seemed different, same color of their clothes
"Oh my sweetie you look beautiful"the old lady rose to her feet and said to Sia who was now standing before them wearing a blue jeans' jumpsuit that stuck to her and long heels with her black hair fixed to her side making her look beautiful, in a different kind of way
"Thank you"Sia said shyly as she prepared to reach for Diego, but Carmen stopped her and
"No way sweetie, you look too good to carry a baby do me a favor let Emiliano carry the baby because I don't think he has even seen his face"Carmen said and made her way to Emiliano who felt suffocated hearing his mom say something he wasn't happy about, Sia pushed a few locs of her falling to her face and a small smirk tagged at the corners of her lips as she feasted her eyes at the most mesmerizing scenery happening before her, the Casanova was dying with rage having to act as the driver not just that, but he had to carry little Diego, what a show she was thrilled because her day was promising her good stuff ahead
"Mom... please you know I'm not good with... with babies"Emiliano said as he retreated from his advancing mom with the intentions of giving him the tiny alien creature
"You'll get used to it because once you and Sia get married I expect you to be helping out with Diego"Carmen said with a frown and Emiliano stopped in his tracks not sure if he heard right, his mom and grandma had already decided his marriage
"Mom... having this woman here is enough, but I won't tolerate marrying her"he has had quite enough with his family making decisions for him, it was his life and he had all the rights in the world to decide what he wanted but not to sit still and watch others treat him like a pawn to be controlled at will
"Your protest won't work here"Carmen ignored his anger placed Diego in his arms, Emiliano being clueless about baby theory nearly let the tiny one fall but Carmen "support his head with your arm like this... and the other one on top securely and make sure to be gentle"she made him hold the baby in a comfortable way and with shaky hands Emiliano took the tiny creature in his strong arms and carefully supported its head, Emiliano did everything possible to keep his eyes away from Diego wanting nothing to do with the tiny creature but just then he felt warm liquid drip down his hand which made him to look down and found the tiny one busy sucking on him desperately
"Oh dear,"he muttered as he watched the tiny boy with enjoyment and glimmer in his eyes move from his hand and his little mouth opened, and he smiled at him, shocking Emiliano as he lowered more to look at the tiny creature hoping to scare him, but little Diego smiled even more, oh no 'Emiliano thought inwardly and averted his eyes from him and cleared his throat
"Come on let's go"his grandma placed her hand on his shoulder and guided him towards the entrance followed by a happy Carmen carrying little Diego's baby bag and Sia with some hesitation followed behind, her cat like eyes fixed on Emiliano who was carrying Diego carefully making sure not to do anything that would hurt him, such smooth skills, Sia thought, but something about his behavior made her feel uneasy. A strange gnashing feeling twisted in her stomach not sure what, but she disliked it seeing Emiliano so close to Diego, it was strange, but she felt that way more like jealousy. Diego was her baby
"Come now, I'll take him"Carmen took Diego from Emiliano as soon as they reached to the car and with a sign of relief Emiliano gave him back and made his way to the driver's seat, the tiny creature was warm for some reason, but now he felt cold, more like an emptiness. He brushed the thoughts away and waited for everyone to get in the car including Sia who was sitting with him in front, but Emiliano didn't dare look at her as he immediately started the car and drove out of the Alvaro Mansion. His day was ruined.
