'Hi, Rex, can we meet before 12:00 a.m.?' I quickly typed and sent the text while making my way down the stairs.
I was about to tuck my phone into my pocket when my phone buzzed. I smiled and quickly unlocked my phone.
'For you.' I beamed upon seeing Rex's reply.
'Ok.' I typed and placed my phone in my pocket before descending the stairs. Since I'll be in charge of cooking everyone's chosen meal today, I woke up earlier.

Before I could process, Oswald grabbed my hand, pulled me into his embrace, and wrapped his hand around my waist.
Despite all my efforts to struggle out of his embrace, Oswald locked me down easily.
Oswald lowered his head and directly stared into my eyes. "Feisty, but I like it, mate." He whispered in a low, deep, and husky tone.
I glared at Oswald and tried hard to separate from him, but I kept failing. I gnashed my teeth together. This jerk, how can he be so lackadaisical?
What if Arya saw us and ended up thinking something? "Oswald, what are you doing?" I reached out to kick Oswald in the crotch, but he grabbed my leg effortlessly as if he had expected my attack.
Oswald chuckled wickedly and poked my nose. "Your attack still hasn't changed, baby." He whispered and lowered his head next to my lips before placing a soft kiss on the corner of my lips, despite my struggles.
Oswald ruffled my hair and smiled wickedly. "Not doing much, just a kiss. You won't get offended, will you?" He separated from me and elegantly sat on the sofa again.
I took a look at the stairs and sighed in relief upon discovering that no one had been alerted by Oswald and my interaction.
Immediately, I shot a cold glare at the Oswald jerk. I think this person was sent to turn my life upside down. I felt my anger begin to surge massively.
This bastard had called our first time nothing, yet he won't let me be with someone else, won't watch me be on my own, and won't let me go. Is there anyone more complicated than him?
I felt so annoyed that I immediately reached out and kicked his legs twice. "You jerk." I seethed.
I scowled at Oswald angrily and wiped the trace of the kiss away with my hand before reaching out to kick his legs again.
"Wiping it doesn't mean I didn't kiss you today, mate." He muttered in a cheerful singsong voice.
My hand fell to my side immediately. I knew that jerk was right. No amount of wiping could remove the trace of Oswald's kiss from my lips.
"You're shameless." I glared at Oswald and kicked his legs before turning to the kitchen. There's no use staying here. This bastard is very shameless and infuriating.
However, every step I took was accompanied by Oswald's taunting laughter. "Jerk." I scorned for the last time and stepped into the kitchen immediately.
I took a deep breath to calm my raging emotions, but recalling that Oswald was a few steps away was enough to send my anger raging.
I washed my hands after clearing my thoughts.
I put on a glove and wore an apron after putting on a kitchen cap. I had sorted the things I needed before arranging them in the fridge, so all I had to do was rewash them and begin to cook.
I was frying the meat when I heard footsteps behind me. A sandalwood scent immediately drifted into my nose. I didn't have to turn before I knew who it was. "Wyatt."
From the corners of my eyes, I saw Wyatt make his way to the fridge to pick up a chilled bottle of water.
Wyatt closed the chips and strode toward me; he came to pause once he was in proximity. "Need help?" Wyatt asked while staring at me seriously, the bottle of water still in his hand.
I paused and turned to Wyatt. "You can cook?" I tilted my head in curiosity. I wasn't expecting someone like Wyatt to be able to cook. Can he really cook? If he can, then what can't he do?
Wyatt raised his head and nodded once.
I looked up and let out a depressed sigh. Here's the perfect husband material who knew how to care for a lady the most! Wyatt can even cook!
The thought of not being mated to someone like Wyatt almost made me want to bawl. Just why? Just why did I have to be mated to a stuck-up jerk like Oswald? Just why?
I suppressed all my thoughts and looked back at the meat I was frying. "You're just the right husband type. You can work hard, cook, etc." I mumbled.
"I can also..." Wyatt stopped and moved next to my ear, making me freeze. "Fuck hard." He completed in a husky, deep tone and blew hot air into my ear.
Shivers ran down my spine, and my face turned red immediately.
My lips parted in a gasp. I couldn't believe that Wyatt had just flirted like this. Am I the one going crazy? How could he? How can? I gulped down upon recalling what he had just said.
"Maia, what are you thinking? That meat is about to be burned." Maia issued a warning and entered the kitchen.
I snapped out of my thoughts and gnashed my teeth in anger. Wyatt flirted with me and left me in a shocked state.
I should have known; Wyatt, Asher, and Oswald are friends; definitely, everyone has their own craziness. Gosh! Even Wyatt isn't excluded!
