Chapters. 26 Dating Logan?

Author's POV

Hi, this is Logan coming to the warrior base. As he promised yesterday. He would no longer look down on Carol. For this reason, he would ask all members of his pack to do the same.

"Alright everyone. I deliberately gathered you here. To give an award to our proud Warrior. Caroline," said Logan, who was immediately greeted with noise. As Carol walked on the stage, she approached Logan who was already there.

"From the very beginning I could see her greatness and extraordinary abilities. That's why I deliberately recommended him to get warrior status first. And it's true! We can see it together. How Carol could overcome a dangerous Rogues like Herduro and save the Northern Fields by herself. Without any other warrior team to help," Logan said a little sarcastically to Angela. Everyone clapped again instantly.

"That's why I'm counting on all of you. To treat Carol well. I mean not only you but also me. I often feel jealous of Carol's extraordinary abilities. But, that's not the right reason for me to hate Carol. I should have seen her as a great potential for the safety of our Pack from the start. For that reason in front of all of you. I as an ordinary werewolf who has a lot of flaws. Intend to apologize to Carol. Hopefully Carol can accept my apology," said Logan. Carol who was beside him immediately blushed. This was the sweetest thing Logan had ever done to her.

"How about it, Caroline? Will you accept my apology?" repeated Logan. Carol then nodded in agreement. Everyone clapped again. This time it was louder than before.

After Carol got off the stage. All the warrior members apologized to her. Angela was no exception. She even gave her status as warrior leader to Carol.

"But, Angela. I don't feel like I deserve this right now," Carol wrote.

"You more than deserve it, Carol. You're the perfect warrior. You think of the pack's safety even more than your own life," Angela said.

"Isn't that what you always taught us?"

"It is. But, even I can't do that yet. For me it's just a theory that I can convey. But, I haven't been able to do it until this moment," Angela said with teary eyes. Carol who felt compassion immediately rubbed her arm for a moment. Then she pulled Angela's head to hug her tightly.

"We can try it slowly, Angela. I'm sure you can do it," Carol said sincerely. Angela raised her head to look at Carol. She nodded slowly and then gave a smile. It was the first time she had ever done that to Carol. So Carol smiled happily too.

"So, who's the leader of the warriors now?" asked Logan who had been standing not far from them since a few moments earlier.

"Wait, don't tell me that this leader status is also a recommendation from you, Logan?" Carol said suspiciously.

"Oh, no. Not at all. This is purely my wish, Carol. You don't have to worry," Angela said quickly.

"You know the answer before I explain myself," Logan said. Carol smiled at Angela.

Logan drove Carol home after the event at the warrior base. Logan didn't want to say goodbye to Carol yet. So he kept looking for reasons for them to be together.

"Thank you, Carol," Logan said, which made Carol's forehead wrinkle perfectly.

"Thank you? For what now?" asked Carol teasingly. Because Logan had chanted it all day.

"Thank you. Because you chose to protect this pack instead of avenging your heartache by siding with Herduro. Really, I can't forget what happened back then," said Logan as he continued to walk slowly towards Carol's house.

"You don't have to worry. Whatever Herduro says to me. It won't change my promise to Dad to take care of this pack like he took care of it," Carol replied.

"That's really nice of you, Carol. You're so nice," Logan complimented, which made Carol smile a little afterward.

"But, still Logan. I need to make sure Herduro's words are true. Because his words keep bothering me," Carol said.

"That's no problem Carol. As long as you forgive me. I can take you to see my father. Whenever you want."

"Thank you, Logan."

"You're welcome," Logan replied with a shy smile. Because he was misbehaving. Logan scratched the back of his head, which wasn't itchy. "Oh, yeah. How about we meet tonight?" Logan asked.

"Meet you?"

"Yes. To discuss the questions to ask my father. If we don't organize the questions in advance. I'm sure my father might lie. But, if we ask specific questions. I'm sure my father won't be able to lie anymore," said Logan. Carol just gave a small nod of agreement.

"That's true too. But, where will we meet?"

"How about at Safana Cafe? I heard there is a private room that can guarantee the privacy of both of us. I mean, of course, we don't want to be bothered by the pouting or babbling of unscrupulous people just because they see us eating together there. Right?" Logan tried to convince Carol to come to the place he had chosen earlier.

"Yes. You're right. So, when will we meet there?"

"Eight o'clock at night. I'll pick you up here. What do you think?"

"That's fine. I don't think I'm too busy tonight," Carol replied, which immediately made Logan smile happily.

"All right. Remember, eight o'clock at night? Okay?" Logan said as he walked away. Because Carol's house was visible from there and he had to get back to the palace as soon as possible.

"Eight o'clock at night. Bye," said Carol. While waving his hand at Logan. She also slowly walked away. Although both of them still didn't want to part. That's why they walked backwards so they could still look at each other.

Arriving at the palace, Logan continued to whistle with a very happy face. He did not even hesitate to greet the maids who were passing by in the most luxurious place in the Black Moon Pack. However, his smile disappeared as soon as he saw Grace standing at the top of the stairs. She wanted to turn around and leave. Unfortunately, her mother was already calling her name.

"Logan! Where are you going again?" Anna Scott asked in such a loud voice that it echoed throughout the room. Logan finally stopped his steps. He let out a heavy breath.

"Logan has some important business to take care of, Mom. Logan's leaving first!" Logan said, and then took another step toward the exit.

"You mean that important business about that ugly girl?" asked Anna Scott sarcastically. Logan stopped his steps again. He was sure his mother must have gotten the false information from Grace before she left. Logan turned around instantly.

"Mom. Who taught you that? Just so you know. The person you're mocking is better and more useful to our pack than the person who gave you a bad name," I said and left.

"Logan! Logan! Wait!" Anna shouted, which Logan ignored.

"It must be because Logan has gotten too close to that ugly girl. That's why his attitude has become disrespectful to you," Grace said, instigating Anna again.

"Don't worry, Grace. I certainly won't accept the girl who has presumptuously rejected Logan as the Moon Goddess' chosen mate." Logan's mother replied.

Day turned into night. At their respective homes Logan and Carol were dressing up to meet at the place they had promised earlier. Carol's behavior confused Jane. Because she had never seen the girl dressed up like this before.

"You're very beautiful, Carol. Where are you going?" Jane asked in surprise.

"I have an appointment with a friend, Mom," Carol replied. Jane immediately looked at her daughter suspiciously. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Let me guess. Is he a man?" asked Jane quietly.

"Heem," Carol replied briefly while nodding her head steady.

"Hahaha. Just say you want to go on a date. Yes, I did. Go now. Don't let him wait too long, honey," Jane said with a big smile.

"Thanks mom. I love you." Carol gave Jane a peck on the cheek before leaving.

Elsewhere Logan came out of the palace feeling happy. He asked the Guard to stay home as he wouldn't be long. Because they thought Logan would go to Grace's house. They immediately agreed. It's just that when Logan was walking towards the promised place with Carol. Suddenly the maid at Grace's house confronted Logan with a panicked face.

"The Alpha! The Alpha!" she shouted which immediately made me stop my steps.

"What's wrong?"

"Miss Grace is seriously ill. She's been shivering and calling out the Alpha's name since earlier."

"I see she was fine this afternoon," Logan replied.

"No, sir. Actually, Miss Grace has had a fever since this morning. But, for the sake of meeting you. She willingly came to the palace despite her illness. Please see her even if it's just for a moment!" said the maid with her hands clasped in front of her chest.

"Alright. Let's go now!"

Meanwhile, at the place they had promised. Carol had been waiting for Logan for quite some time. She was still waiting, even though it was past eight o'clock now.

"Where is that guy? Does he really have no intention of meeting?" muttered Carol starting to despair.
