Head is spinning. Lights are flashing. Heart is aching. Eyes burning and stomach twisting. Words stuck.... and your just standing there. Like nothing matters. I thought everything was good- no better. But I was wrong.... so wrong.
Lenny's POV
Marion came back. I was smiling, smiling hard, fake as Van paced around telling me everything.
"So you better get back home." I said and he looked at me.
"But.... I'll just be alone again." he said frowning.
"The divorce isn't final." Eric said eating potato chips and we both looked at him.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I yelled and he smirked.
"You dropped your key outside, be happy it wasn't some stranger who picked it up." he said and Van blinked.
"You are a stranger." I said rolling my eyes and Eric rolled his eyes back.
"But Eric is right...." I said looking down.
"Len, is this what you want?" he asked and I looked at him with my eyes wide.
What I want? Of course not.
"Why are you asking if this is what I want?" I asked blinking and Eric face palmed.
"So this is how it goes?" he groaned and I shot him a glare.
"Why is he always over here?" Van asked and I opened my mouth to answer.
"Because I can." Eric said standing up and raised an eyebrow smirking. "Jealous?" he asked.
"Eri-" I started.
"Maybe." Van said and I looked at him blushing and wide eyed. "Well... I was your friend and now he's here." he said laughing. "I see you'll be fine, never mind about my question." he said heading to the door.
I bit my lip hard as Eric just stared at me then pointed to Van. I tilted my head and he face palmed.
"Bye Len." I heard Van say before opening the door.
"Say it." Eric said through clenched teeth and slapped my back.
"Ow!" I yelled and Van turned around. "I meant uh bye." I said smiling awkwardly.
"Okay Lenny I'll say it for ya." Eric said smirking and my eyes went wide.
"No I'll tell him!" I yelled covering his mouth and Van blinked.
"Tell who what?" Van asked.
I felt my hand get wet and I jumped back from Eric wiping my hand off.
That nasty fucker.
"Tell you that he lo-" I slapped Eric hard on the back.
"That I will miss you." I said smiling at Van then glared at Eric.
"Just tell me." Van said crossing his arms.
"Hahaha he knows when you lie!" Eric said laughing as he pointed at me and I glared at him.
"So what is it?" he asked glancing at me.
"Nothing." I said smiling and he sighed.
"Okay... bye." he said before leaving out the door.
I sighed as the door closed. And soon I met pain.
"Ow!" I yelled rubbing the back of my head where Eric slapped me.
"Dumbass." he said then shook his head. "You had a chance and threw it away. You lose him, then oh well." he said before leaving the house, leaving me alone
Again.
I went to sleep feeling cold. And in the morning I went on a morning walk. Maybe it would clear my head like... Van said it did for him. But I froze when I saw Marion... but no Van. Where is Van anyway? Marion was with another guy smiling and talking. I was about to step up and yell at her but froze again when I saw Van walked up to her, as soon as he did the other guy disappeared. I saw their mouths moving so I assumed they were talking. I clenched my teeth together.
Sh-She's been cheating on Van. Why on Van.... Van is a great guy. I can't let them get back together.... not for my own selfish reasons but for him.... right?
