Chapter 42

Beatriz Del Valle POV

Months have passed and it really feels good to know that everything's fine now. The team already knew everything about me and Jo. We decided to tell them the truth about us when Ella saw us together the night we celebrated our first month of being together again. Some of them were not shocked because they feel that we still have the connection despite ignoring each other but they just keep it to themselves to respect our relationship. The team promised us to keep this as a secret and they will act as if they don't know about it to protect me and Jo.

Madeline also told me about her relationship with Pauline and that they're now happy because both side of their parents already accepted the love that they have. They didn't receive any judgements and I'm happy for them.

I just wish Johana and I would be accepted by my family soon because I really don't want to hide forever. Last month, Johana let me meet her parents as her girlfriend and everything went fine. Her parents accepted us whole-heartedly. I just keep on wondering why my family cannot do the same. I'm still holding to the fact that there's nothing wrong with the love that we have. People are just judgmental.

"You're spacing out again, Bea." Johana told me.

I looked at her. "What are you thinking baby?" She asked.

"Nothing much. Anyway, you done packing up our things?" I asked.

"I'm done preparing mine. I still have to prepare for yours. Do you mind helping me?" She said while laughing.

"I feel tired baby. You can do it." I said to her. We'll be going for a trip again with my friends. We'll stay at Myla's beach house again to catch up. We planned so long for this and thank God we finally have the same free schedules after months of waiting for it to happen.

I saw her pout. "You've been resting on your bed for too long."

I laughed at her. "Come here. Rest with me."

"Nah! I'll just continue packing up." She said.

I stood up and helped her of course. Madeline is not here because she would always go to Pauline's house and spend time with her. I'm very happy for them of course and I hope she does it often so I can be alone here with my baby Johana.

We stopped packing up our things when we saw the door opened and it was Jianna who entered the room. She's here again. I feel like Jo and I have our own adopted child everytime Jianna is around.

"Where are you two going huh?" Jianna asked.

"It's none of your business, Jia." Johana teased.

"I hate you! You're going out without me? That's unfair! You guys might want to invite me since I helped you two in your secret relationship." Jianna said.

"You were with us all the time, Jia. Even during our dates you're here with us. It actually feels like you are our child." Said Johana and we both laughed.

"Exactly. So why don't you make me join the outing? Maybe you two just forget about me since the team already know everything about you. Maybe I am now out of the picture because you guys don't need me anymore." Jia said while pouting.

Johana signaled me to keep on packing up our things and just ignore Jianna so I did it.

"So you're really ignoring me? You don't want me to come? Alright... I'll go out." Jianna said and I saw in my peripheral view that she's now walking to the door.

"Here I am, I am now touching the doorknob, I will now open the door..." She said again. I'm trying to hold my laugh while I'm hearing her voice.

"You guys won't really stop me?!" She yelled at us and that's when Jo and I burst into laughter.

"Oh my gosh, Jianna! You're so funny!" Jo said while laughing too hard.

Jianna came back to my bed. "What now? Did you change your minds?"

"Of course, Jia. You're allowed to go with us." I said.

"Yay! Thank you! I'm gonna go fix my things now!" She said and was about to go out but Ella came inside the room.

"I heard there will be an outing! Can I come too?" Ella asked and since she's one of our closest friends in the team we said yes.

Jia was about to protest because we easily said yes to Ella but Johana pushed her out of the room. I really find their friendship adorable. They may seem harsh on each other but maybe that's really their love language.

I thought of bringing Ella and Jia as well because my friends still do not know that Jo and I are okay now. We decided not tell my friends because they told me that Kianna would come too. We're afraid that she would intervene with us again.

So, Jo and I will just act as if we just remained friends again and for it to not appear awkward, we decided to bring Ella and Jia.

We're now here in Tagaytay and we just finished eating our dinner. Johana is with Ella and Jia at the swimming pool while I'm here with Ria and AJ, we're drinking beer tonight.

"So you two really broke up and was not able to bring the relationship back?" Ria asked. Of course, I have to pretend that Jo and I aren't okay.

"Yeah. I think we're just better off as friends." I said to them. I feel like I should award myself for being a good actress right here.

"Aww... do you still love her?" AJ asked.

I shook my head. "I stopped loving her the moment we became friends."

"You know what? Let's just stop talking about that and just enjoy the night! We should not make Bea feel sad." Said Ria.

And just like that, we just enjoy and party all night. It became awkward when Kianna arrived. I admit I really want to have a closure with her so that people around us would not be awkward every time I'm with her.

Since it's getting late, Jianna, Ella, and Johana are now in their room. While I'm still here with my friends, we're just catching up. Since it would be suspicious to talk to Johana before I talk to Kianna for our closure, I decided to text Johana about what I'm planning to do. She texted back quickly saying it's fine with her.

"Kianna..." I said that captured the attention of my friends. They stopped talking and they were all waiting for what I'm going to say.

Kianna was surprised that I called her name. She just looked at me.

"Can we talk?" I asked.

"Sure... about what?" She asked.

"Follow me." I just said and started to walk away...

I can feel that Kianna is following me until we reached the beach front.

"What are we gonna talk about?" She asked.

"I want us to have a closure." I told her.

She stared at me. I was surprised when she hugged me and she started crying. "Bea, I'm sorry. It was all my fault. I'm sorry if I was so bitter about our past that I ruined you and Johana. I'm sorry if I was so insecure of your relationship. I'm sorry..."

I did not hug her back. "The damage has been done, Kianna. Your sorry would not fix everything. But I accept it. I just hope you would now stop interfering with my life. What we had in the past should stay in the past. I have already moved on and I hope you too."

She let go of the hug and looked at me. She wiped off her tears. "I know, Bea. I'm so sorry... I'll be back in the states again. I promise not to look back. You're right, I should live a new life and let go of the past. I'm sorry that you and Johana had to break up because I was a fool."

"I just have one favor to ask."

"What is it, Bea?"

"Apologize to Johana."

I saw her smiled. "Of course. I'm really planning to do that."

"Thank you... and good bye, Kianna. Thanks for all the good and bad memories that made me stronger."

"Good bye, Bea... I hope you find your happiness again."

And that's it... that's just how we finish our unfinished story.

Johana Morin POV

"Oh no! They're hugging!" Jia said while we're here in the balcony of our room. Jia found a telescope to spy Beatriz and Kianna because I told them that the two were bound to have a closure.

"Can I see? Can I see it?" Ella said and stole the telescope from Jianna.

I just shook my head seeing my weird friends like that. I just decided to rest on my bed. Actually, it's just fine with me that Beatriz and Kianna are talking because I know that it's for the last time and it's for the better. I know how much Bea wanted to have that closure and I'm happy that she is finally getting it.

"Aren't you jealous of them, Jo?" Jia asked.

"Why would I be jealous? I trust Bea." I said to them.

"Aww! That's the power of trust! It makes you calm." Said Ella.

"Yeah. If you really love someone, you got to learn how to trust them for a healthy relationship." I said.

"Yeah, right! Whatever, Jo! We don't need love advice here. Can't you see we're both single?" Jia said and rolled her eyes.

"What? I was just telling you that for the future." I said.

"But seriously speaking, I want to have the kind of love that you and Bea have. It was so pure. I feel like I have to wait for years just to have that kind of love." Jia said and we all laughed.

"You can have that kind of love with Marci." Ella teased.

We saw Jianna's face turned red. "No way! I hate that guy! He always annoys me."

"Really, Jia?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows. Jianna could not control her smile and bit her lower lip.

"Oh no! Jianna has a crush on Marci!" Ella teased.

"I don't like him! You guys are so annoying!" Jia said and rested on her bed.

"Someone's in denial." Said Ella.

We were just teasing and laughing at each other when someone knocked on the door. Ella decided to open it and it was Bea.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Ella asked.

"I just want to see Johana." Bea answered.

"Your friends might see." Ella said.

"No... they're still at the swimming pool. Promise it will be quick." Bea said so I stood up and come close to them.

Bea closed the door immediately and hugged me so tight. "I missed you, baby." She whispered.

"Oh no! The lovebirds are back at it again!" Jia complained.

"Just think of Marci and stop being bitter about Jo's love life. Will you?" Ella scolded her and she just pout. Jianna is such a baby. Bea and I could not help but laugh at them.

I looked at Bea. "You smell like alcohol."

She laughed at me. "Sorry. Can I sleep here?"

"What? No! Your friends might be suspicious about it."

"I gave my bed to Kianna since she will be staying here. Myla told me that this room still has an extra bed."

I smirked. "You really did that on a purpose, am I right?"

"You're always right, baby." She said while smiling at me.

"Okay, you can sleep here." I said.

"You're sleeping here but use the other bed, okay? You're not sleeping beside my bestie!" Jianna said.

"Why not?" Bea asked and rested on my bed.

"What the freak?! I don't want to witness some kind of steamy stuff again. Oh gosh! My innocent eyes!" Jia panicked.

"Jianna would you please stop overreacting? You're really getting into my nerves!" Ella scolded her again.

"Don't make Ella angry. She might eat you up." I teased.

I saw Ella frowned. "Whatever!"

Bea pulled me to the bed and I fell beside her. She just hugged me very tight.

"I love you." She whispered.

I hugged her tight. "I love you more." I said and pecked on her lips.

"Calm down there, Jia! We're not doing anything here!" I said when I heard Jianna mumbled a thing.

"Okay!" She answered back.

I think I'm really enjoying this trip because I'm with the people I truly treasure the most. I'm so happy to be surrounded by these people. I would not trade them for anything...

I'm happy that everything's okay now.
