Chapter 24
Bigger
Beck and Sophie were still curled up on the bed with their backs facing each other. Beck appeared to still be asleep, breathing slowly and evenly. Sophie reached for her vibrating phone on the nightstand, her eyes still half-closed.
“Mom, it’s still too early,” Sophie grumbled as she answered Nena’s call.
“Congratulations. Beck finally proposed to you,” Nena said.
Sophie shifted her body, lifting her head slightly to make sure Beck was still asleep. “How do you know?”
“Your social media told me.”
“Oh, that... Beck proposed to me out of nowhere.”
“That’s good. When are you getting married?”
Sophie looked at the ring around her finger, then shook her head. “We haven’t talked about it yet.”
Nena’s tone turned flat. “It sounds like you two aren’t serious.”
“Mom... we’ll talk about it later.”
“Yes, whatever. I just want to remind you that after you get engaged, I’m sure Beck won’t be willing to use condoms anymore. You need to start getting contraceptive injections.”
Sophie raised both eyebrows. “Thank you.”
Nena lowered her voice. “Remember what I told you. Don’t let there be a child between the two of you, even after you legally become his wife.”
“I remember, Mom.”
“Yes, that’s my daughter,” Nena said, sounding satisfied.
“You keep reminding me over and over again,” Sophie grumbled.
“Of course, because I don’t want to take care of a baby without a father who leaves you nothing, like before. If that boyfriend of yours gives you even one company, you’re free to have his child. At least if he leaves you, you won’t have to worry about raising your child,” Nena grumbled at length in a low voice.
“I understand. Oh, my God, you’ve become such a nag.” Sophie lowered her voice as she glanced at Beck. “See you, Mom.”
Sophie turned the phone over in her hand before placing it on the nightstand. She moved closer to Beck, kissing his back as she wrapped her arm around his waist.
“Beck....” Sophie stroked Beck’s stomach while rubbing her forehead against his back.
“Hmm...” Beck replied without opening his eyes, reaching for Sophie’s hand and guiding it toward the part between his thighs that had naturally hardened in the morning.
“I’m so happy.” Sophie squeezed the part of Beck that was as hard as steel.
The night before, after the event ended, the two of them had returned to Sophie’s home while still somewhat under the influence of alcohol. They had not discussed their wedding plans at all because Beck had immediately stripped Sophie of the dress she was wearing and satisfied himself.
Beck shifted onto his back and pulled Sophie’s thigh so that she was sitting on top of him. “Do you like the ring?” Beck raised one eyebrow.
“Of course. It’s very beautiful.” Sophie smiled sweetly. “It still feels like a dream. You proposed to me....”
“But I think a morning wet dream is more enjoyable.”
Sophie shifted, reached for the nightstand drawer, and took out a small packet. She tore it open, then put it on Beck. She positioned herself and joined her body with Beck’s, moaning. “When are we getting married?”
“You can’t wait to become a bride?” Beck thrust his hips roughly.
Sophie stroked Beck’s chest and lowered her head to place a kiss on it. “Of course. Being able to have you has always been my dream.”
“What if I ask for a child after we get married? Would you be willing?”
Sophie gently bit Beck’s chin. “How many do you want?”
“So you’re willing?”
“Of course I’d be happy to give birth to your child, Beck.”
Beck moved his hips, dominating their play as usual. “What if we just throw this condom away?”
Sophie gripped Beck’s shoulders. “Not now, Beck. After we get married, I’ll give you as many children as you want, and I want....” She moaned as she nearly came apart.
“You want what?”
“Vanilla to be....”
Vanilla....
With one sharp movement, Beck flipped their positions, making Sophie turn her back to him before taking her from behind roughly.
Vanilla. Seeing Vanilla looking so beautiful the night before had annoyed him enough, and then seeing Vanilla pretend that she was fine when it was obvious that she was furious after watching Charlotte kiss Nick. It had nearly driven Beck out of his mind. He wanted to beat Nick up for making Vanilla angry. But he was also angry at Vanilla because the girl’s attention was now clearly focused on Nick. The Vanilla who had once been obsessed with him was clearly gone.
Just like the night before, he poured out his anger by taking Sophie roughly, and he did it again because Sophie had mentioned Vanilla’s name.
His anger flared again.
Vanilla could not work properly. She and Nick were at Vanilla’s restaurant on its first day of operation. The atmosphere was quite lively, with many customers arriving, most of them young people. Vanilla and Nick both took part in greeting the customers, introducing the menu, and taking orders.
Every time her eyes met Nick’s, Vanilla smiled shyly, her cheeks continuing to turn red as she remembered the crazy things they had done that morning.
After taking a shower, Vanilla had made breakfast while Nick continued hugging her from behind and playing with her breasts. Not only that, after breakfast, Nick had laid her down and tasted Vanilla on top of the dining table.
“You’re daydreaming again,” Xaviera said as she passed her daughter, who was tapping a pen against the order desk.
Vanilla startled and quickly composed herself. “I-I’m not.”
Xaviera stopped and brought her face closer to Vanilla’s. “Your eye sockets are dark.”
Vanilla pouted, though her cheeks grew even redder.
“Tell me, did something happen?”
Vanilla’s eyes widened. “Mom, that’s young people’s business.”
“Oh, really?” Xaviera laughed in amusement and shook her head.
“Did it hurt?” Xaviera asked, teasing her daughter.
Vanilla glared fiercely. “It hasn’t happened yet.”
Xaviera shrugged. “What a shame.”
The woman moved away from Vanilla and went to the cashier’s counter, spoke briefly with one of the employees, then entered her office.
At seven in the evening, Vanilla and Nick were sitting in Vanilla’s office. They had just finished their dinner.
“What do you think?” Vanilla asked as she put a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.
“A good start.”
“Thank you for helping us.” Vanilla smiled happily.
Nick kissed Vanilla’s hair, which fell over her shoulder. “A lot of pretty girls were looking at me today.”
“That’s annoying.” Vanilla put down the spoon in her hand.
“You’ll have to get used to it.”
Vanilla lightly punched Nick’s shoulder. “So full of yourself,” she joked.
“What does it feel like to have such a handsome boyfriend?” Nick raised one eyebrow. His lips curled into a teasing smile at Vanilla.
Vanilla moved and sat on Nick’s lap, facing him. “You’ll get sick of me in less than a month because I’m very jealous.”
Nick stroked the corner of Vanilla’s lips with his thumb. Being the object of someone’s jealousy was something new to him, like when Vanilla had been jealous of Charlotte. It felt good. “You can be as jealous as you want, and you can control me.”
Vanilla wrinkled her nose, then kissed Nick’s chin. “You really are such a flirt, and I’m sure I’ll have my heart broken soon.”
“I’m serious, Mi Amor.” Nick’s palm stroked Vanilla’s back.
“Unfortunately, I think I really have been seduced by you.” Vanilla slowly pressed her lips against Nick’s. “I hate admitting defeat.”
“I’m getting more confident,” Nick whispered.
“About what?”
“My charm is still the same as it was back when I was on the basketball team.”
Vanilla chuckled softly. “Big-headed.”
“There’s something bigger, and you know it.”
“Yes, it’s in my hand.”
Nick growled because Vanilla’s mischievousness was far beyond his expectations. Vanilla’s hand had slipped inside his pants and was holding something that refused to cooperate.
“You’re very naughty,” Nick growled.
“I enjoy testing your faith.” Vanilla pressed her lips against Nick’s.
But just as Nick responded to return Vanilla’s kiss, the sound of Xaviera clearing her throat stopped them.
“Nick, take your girlfriend home and make sure the two of you get enough rest.”
Vanilla looked flustered and was about to pull her hand out of Nick’s pants. Unfortunately, the man held it there and grinned mischievously.
“B-but....” Vanilla’s cheeks turned red as she looked at Xaviera nervously.
Xaviera shook her head. An hour earlier, she had seen Vanilla push Nick against the wall and kiss him without caring about the employees in the kitchen.
What a beautiful youth.
“The café is fine. What’s not fine is that the two of you are making the employees jealous.”
