Dahlia's POV
I kept knocking on the door, but there was no answer. I looked up at his room window, and the light was switched on even though it wasn't really bright, but it was still on. Then I remembered that, unlike me, Scott used to keep a spare key in one of his flower pots in case he forgot or lost the first one. I searched for it and found it in one of the pots deep inside. I took the key, unlocked the door, and got into the house.
I inhaled that familiar scent I always got when Scott was with me; he smelled just like mint mixed with the scent of his aftershave. It had only been two weeks, but it felt like forever. I really missed him. I got into his living room, and I saw a lot of things scattered on the floor, including his clothes and some women's clothing. 'That's weird,' I thought.
I racked my head, thinking of the most reasonable explanation for why a woman's clothes would be lying on her floor. I shook off the thought. I didn't wanna spoil my mood for the night, so I picked them up, folded them neatly, and carried them up to his room. “Maybe his sister came over,” I muttered under my breath, trying to convince myself.
On reaching his room, I heard weird noises. The door wasn't completely closed, so I could hear what was going on in his room. The problem was that I couldn't tell what was actually going on. 'Maybe he was watching porn' I thought, but I wasn't still convinced, so I decided to take a peek to see what he was actually doing. I dropped the neatly folded clothes I was holding by the door and carefully moved to the side of the door that was still open so he couldn't hear me.
As I slowly took a peek, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was dumbfounded. Scott was having sex with another woman; my feet were glued to the floor. I couldn't move or speak. I just watched; I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. They were both completely naked; the girl lay on the bed and wrapped one of her legs around him while the other one was on his shoulder. Scott, on the other hand, was standing by the side of the bed, thrusting deep into her.
"Fuck babe," he exhaled. Wait, he's calling her babe?! "You really know how to make a man feel good," he said, lowering his head to kiss her. What was he saying? Does that mean I never made him feel good?
Yes, I didn't let him have sex with me, but I did let him touch me whenever and wherever he wanted, so that wasn't enough.
"No, sweetie, it's all you... I mean, you always know how to hit the right spot," that voice... I know that voice.
"You mean like this," he said, thrusting deeper into her.
"Oh fuck, yes, babe, again, do it again." I couldn't see his face, but I could tell he was smiling as he kept thrusting deeper, and they kept making erotic noises that filled the whole room. That girl's voice was so familiar, I could have sworn I'd heard it before, but where? It wasn't loud enough, so I needed to hear it again so I could tell.
"Scott.....please?" She begged. Is that who I think it is? It couldn't be.
"Please what?"
"Please, fuck me harder," she moaned out.
"Your wish is my command, my princess." My princess! But that was what he used to call me. I couldn't believe this. Has he been cheating on me all this time? ... I really wanted to find out, so I called him with my phone and watched his reaction. I wanted to see if he was going to pick up. It started ringing.
"Who is it?" She sounded irritated. Scott looked at his phone and rolled his eyes. Did he just roll his eyes? But he sounded so happy when he talked with me on the phone when I was still in Pennsylvania; was he always pretending?
"It's those goody-two-shoes," he sighed.
"That bitch," so she did know me.
"Come on, baby, that's no way to talk about your best friend." He slowed down....was it actually her? When I heard her voice, I chose not to believe that I wanted to see her face before I concluded, but now that I think about it, their stature does look exactly the same. Did she actually do this to me? No, there must be a reason.
"Says the guy who's having sex with her best friend behind her back...for the seventeenth time." Did I actually hear that right—the seventeenth time? So this has been going on for, like, forever?
"Are you actually counting?" he grinned as he touched her lip.
"I was...until I lost track each time you made me cum so hard that I forgot the previous number," she sat up, wrapping her hands around his shoulder. So she's saying that it's more than that?
"You bad bad girl," he pinned her hands above her head and returned to his previous rhythm."You're the one who tempted me; you stripped right in front of me....did you expect me to just leave you there when your ass was begging to be fucked by me, and you were willing to please me, unlike that trash who calls herself my girlfriend?" So all of this was my fault?
"Please, let's stop talking about that bitch and make me cum already," she pleaded. So I was the cause of all this. All this happened because I didn't let him have sex with me. I was supposed to be the one on Scott's bed having a great time, but instead he chose my best friend over me. I should have just let him have sex with me the first time he tried; if I did, none of this would have happened.
"Fuck, Scott......don't stop now....I'm about to cum," she moaned as Scott squeezed one of her boobs.
"Fuck," watching this was torture, but for some reason, I couldn't stop; I wanted to find out more about this; I didn't want to leave; and I didn't want them to know I was here either.
"I love you, Emma," he said after releasing his long shots inside her. Did he just cum inside her? Did he just tell her that he loved her? I thought it was me that he loved.
"I love you too, Scott," she said before he pulled out of her. That was when I realized it was time for me to leave. I picked up the clothes I folded and threw them on the floor in the living room, just like they were when I came in. Then I left after locking the door and keeping the keys exactly where I saw them, so they had no clue that someone was there. I put on my coat as I waited for a cab.
"Where are you going, mam?" the driver asked.
"I have no idea," I said, because I was pretty sure that I didn't want to go home. "Just keep driving," I exhaled. As he drove, my head was clouded with thoughts as I watched the buildings roll past. I couldn't think straight; I didn't even know where this guy was taking me. All I knew was that I wanted to forget this night. Somehow, I wished that all this was one bad dream and that I could wake up from it and then everything would be back to normal, but unfortunately, it wasn't a dream; it was all real.
