Chapter 143 You are a murderer

Chapter 143 You are a murderer
Dominic and Jun kept staring at each other like neither of them was ready to back down from the other. Even when Aria tried to stop them, nothing changed. They stood there, stuck in it, both too stubborn to be the first to move.
Harry watched the whole thing, and instead of stepping in, he actually looked impressed by Jun. To him, Jun carried himself like a real man. It even felt like Jun had been thinking about what was said the day before.
Aria looked at Harry for help, but he just stood there like he did not care at all what was happening.
“So you want to take Aria away from me?” Dominic asked, his voice low but tight.
Jun let out a quiet laugh, the kind that made it clear he was looking down on Dominic.
“Do I look like I am joking to you? What is so funny?” Dominic asked, his anger starting to show.
This time, Jun laughed out loud. He tapped his fingers lightly on the table, like he was having fun watching Dominic lose control.
“Mr. Dominic, why do you look nervous? Why are you acting like this? Do you really think I am going to take your wife?” Jun paused, watching him closely. “Look at your face. You are the one who looks scared. You are worried Aria might leave you and come to me. That is funny.”
Dominic’s face turned red, whether from shame or anger, it was hard to tell.
Without another word, Dominic grabbed Aria’s wrist and pulled her up. “We are leaving.”
“Wait, but—” Aria tried to speak, but Dominic did not listen. He dragged her out of the café.
Harry tried to get Jun to stop them, but Jun did not move. He just watched and laughed under his breath. To him, Dominic looked childish, like someone panicking at the thought of losing what he thought he owned.
Outside, Dominic pushed Aria toward the car. She tried to resist, but he forced her anyway. He was about to push her inside when his phone started ringing.
He pulled it out and checked the screen. Aria leaned in to see, and the moment she saw the name, her face dropped.
“Cih. You are such a disgusting man, Dominic,” she said.
Dominic looked at her, caught off guard. “You stop me from seeing another man, but you are busy with that cheap woman.”
“Jessie is not a cheap woman.”
Aria laughed, loud and bitter. “This is funny. You are really funny. So tell me, who is the cheap one then? Me?” Her breath came out uneven. “Yes, you are right. I should have known I am the cheap one. I took you from my own mother without shame.”
Her eyes locked on his, full of hate. “I married my stepfather. Tell me, how much lower can I get?”
Dominic stared at her. “I never called you that, Aria.”
“You did not say it, but you meant it,” she shot back. “I kept quiet all this time about you and Jessie, but you did not even notice I saw everything. I saw your dirty little affair with her.”
Dominic went still. “You..”
“Do not act surprised. I saw you at your family event. I saw you sleeping with her.” Aria gasped when Dominic grabbed her arm hard.
“Stop talking nonsense.”
“Nonsense?” She tried to continue, but the pressure on her arm made her voice break. “That hurts, Dominic!”
“You feel pain?” His voice came out rough.
“Dominic!”
“Then keep quiet. Get in.” He shoved her into the car and slammed the door before moving to the driver’s side.
Inside the car, Aria sat still, shocked. Since when did Dominic treat her like this? He had always been gentle. This was not the man she knew.
“I will take you home,” he said.
“No.”
“Aria. DO NOT MAKE ME FUCKING HIT YOU.”
Her body went still. She looked at him slowly. “What did you just say? You want to hit me?” Tears slipped down her face.
The moment he saw her cry, regret showed on his face. He reached for her and pulled her close. “Aria, I am sorry. I lost control. I did not mean it. I would never hit you. Please, forgive me.”
He held her, but she did not move. She just sat there, stunned, like she had just seen a side of him she could not unsee.
The rest of the drive was silent. Dominic kept trying to talk, but Aria did not answer. When they got home, he led her inside.
“Stay here, Aria. Please do not go anywhere. I have a meeting at the office.”
He kissed her forehead and left.
The moment he was gone, Aria grabbed her phone and called Daisy. She told her to watch Dominic at the office. If Jessie showed up, she wanted to know right away.
Aria waited, restless, her thoughts running wild with anger she could not hold down. Just thinking about Dominic and Jessie made her feel sick.
Almost three hours passed before her phone buzzed.
She picked it up quickly and opened the message.
The second she saw the picture Daisy sent, the anger she had been holding snapped all at once. Jessie had just walked into Dominic’s office.
Aria did not think twice. She grabbed her bag, rushed out, stopped a taxi, and told the driver to take her straight to Dominic’s office.
She got there fast.
“Where is she?” Aria asked Daisy the moment she saw her.
Daisy pointed toward Dominic’s office.
Aria took a breath, then walked slowly to the door. She knocked once. Twice. No answer. By the fifth knock, the door opened.
Without waiting, Aria shoved it hard, and the door slammed into Dominic’s face.
“Aria! What the hell are you doing?” Dominic snapped.
“Where is that fucking bitch?” Aria shot back, her voice rough and close to breaking from how angry she was.
Dominic grabbed her arm to stop her. “What are you talking about? What bitch?”
“That bitch! Where is she? Where are you hiding her, Dominic?”
“I do not know what you mean.”
“JESSIE! I mean Jessie! Where is she? WHERE DID YOU FUCKING HIDE HER?”
“Aria!”
“JESSIE, COME OUT YOU FUCKING SLUT!”
“Aria!”
“WHAT? You are a terrible man, Dominic. You get to fuck her while I can not even see Harry, and Harry is my friend!”
The sound of the slap rang out.
Aria’s ears buzzed as Dominic’s hand struck her face. She almost lost her balance.
Dominic stared at his hand, shocked.
“Aria… Aria, I…”
She pushed his hand away and started searching the room, her eyes moving fast like she was ready to tear the place apart.
“Come out, you bitch! You home wrecker! You fucking murderer! COME OUT!”
Her eyes stopped at one spot. She saw a shadow.
A dark smile pulled at her lips as she walked over and pulled the cloth aside.
Jessie stood there.
Without hesitation, Aria grabbed her and dragged her out, her fingers twisting hard into Jessie’s hair. When she saw Jessie wearing only a bra, the sight pushed her anger even further.
Aria turned to Dominic with a cold smile. She pulled her own shirt over her head, leaving herself in just her bra.
“Now we both look the same. No clothes on top. Go ahead, Dominic. Choose which one you want to touch.”
“Aria, I..”
“TOUCH ONE OF US, Dominic!” she screamed.
Jessie suddenly laughed.
Aria turned to her. “What are you laughing at?”
“You are funny, little girl. You call me a slut, but have you forgotten your own past?”
Aria rolled her eyes. “I know my past. Do you want me to say it here? Dominic used to be my stepfather. I took him while he was still married to my mother. I slept with him back then. Is that enough for you?”
Even Daisy, listening outside, was shocked.
“But you are worse,” Aria continued. “You are a killer.”
Dominic went still.
“Watch your mouth!” Jessie snapped.
“I have proof,” Aria said. “You left Dominic when he was crazy about you. Then you went after a married man and made him leave his wife. Do you know what happened to that wife?”
Jessie’s face changed. She looked at Dominic and shook her head, like she was begging him not to believe it.
“Why are you scared?” Aria said, stepping closer. “I told my story. Now it is your turn. The wife killed herself. And not just her. She gave poison to her twin children before she died.”
Jessie stood stiff, while Dominic stood there like he did not know what to believe anymore.
Aria leaned in close and said it right into her ear.
“You are a murderer.”
