Chapter 132 What about your wife?
Chapter 132 What about your wife?
Aria closed the lunch box and placed it neatly back in her bag. Dominic had finished everything she brought for him. She did not bother to wash it there and decided she would handle it when she got home.
“Haaah… I am full,” Dominic said, rubbing his stomach with a satisfied look. “At this rate, I might start gaining weight.”
“You can always exercise,” Aria replied.
Dominic smiled. “I am not interested in exercise outside right now. I prefer the kind we do in the bedroom. I sweat, and it feels really good.”
Aria felt her face grow hot at once.
She understood exactly what he meant, and truthfully, she liked it too.
There were times when they lost themselves in each other, moving together until neither of them could think straight anymore. Their voices blended, their bodies followed each other without holding back, and by the end, they were both breathless and covered in sweat. There was nothing else like it for her.
After eating, Dominic told her he had to lead a meeting that would start soon. Aria stayed behind in his office while he left. She walked around the room, letting her eyes move over everything inside.
Then she stopped in front of a framed photo. It was their wedding picture. She stared at it for a long moment. Dominic was smiling there, but something about it made her pause. That same smile had been given to Jessie.
They had already shared something that should have belonged only to her. Aria lifted her hand and touched the photo gently.
“I do not know what to believe anymore,” she said quietly.
She moved to Dominic’s chair and sat down. Even though she had been in his office many times, she rarely sat there. She leaned forward and rested her head on the desk.
Then she stopped. Something about the desk made her pause. She leaned closer and took in a slow breath. There was a scent. It was not hers. Aria frowned, trying to recognize it. It did not take long before the answer came. Jessie. She straightened immediately.
“Did she sit here?” Aria murmured, her thoughts racing.
She leaned in again, just to be sure. The scent was still there. Aria stood up at once. She moved away from the desk and sat on the sofa instead. Her thoughts would not slow down. She decided she would wait for Dominic and ask him everything.
She could not let her marriage break this easily. She would not be able to handle it.
Aria rubbed her face with both hands, trying to calm herself, but her mood had already dropped. She could not get out of her own head. She never imagined her day would turn into this.
Was this what marriage felt like? Or was this her punishment for taking Dominic away from someone else before? She did not know. But she needed answers.
After a while, Aria decided not to wait any longer. She chose to go home and talk to Dominic there instead. Before leaving, she sent him a message and informed his secretary that she was heading out.
Dominic loosened his tie as he stepped back into his office after the meeting. Everything had gone well, but his mind was not at ease. Aria had gone home. For some reason, that bothered him. She had been different lately, quieter and less bright than before.
She used to greet him with warmth, but now it felt like she was holding something back. He wanted to ask her what was wrong, but he held himself back. He did not want to upset her.
Dominic walked to his desk and picked up the intercom, asking his secretary if he had anything else planned.
Luckily, he did not. He decided to head home early. Maybe Aria was not feeling well.
Just as Dominic got into his car, his phone rang. A video call.
Jessie.
He answered it without thinking. The moment the screen lit up, his expression changed. Jessie was lying on a bed, wearing almost nothing.
“Jessie?” he said.
“You left me hanging earlier,” she said. “Do you not want this? I am still thinking about you.”
Her hand moved slowly over her body as she spoke. Dominic pressed his lips together. She was doing it on purpose, and he knew it.
“Stop this, Jessie,” he said. But she ignored him.
Her movements became more deliberate, more tempting. A soft sound left her lips. Dominic let out a quiet curse. His body reacted even when he tried to ignore it. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel.
Aria was waiting at home. But Jessie was right here, pulling him back again. Dominic pressed harder on the gas.
He made a choice. One that could ruin everything.
Rain poured heavily outside. It was already late, but Aria had not seen any sign of Dominic returning. She tried calling him several times, but each attempt ended the same way.
No answer. Her worry grew with every minute.
“Is he still at work?” she asked herself quietly. “Did something happen?”
She called again.
Nothing.
Aria scrolled through her contacts, searching for someone she could ask. Then she found his secretary. She called her. The line rang for a while before it was picked up.
“Hello?” Aria said first.
“Hi… I am sorry for calling this late. This is Aria, Dominic’s wife.”
There was a short pause.
Aria checked her phone to make sure the call had not dropped.
“Hello?”
“Oh, yes, ma’am. Hello,” Daisy replied. “What can I help you with?”
“I wanted to ask about Dominic. Is he still at the office? Are you all working late?”
Another pause.
Daisy was already home. But Dominic was not. She hesitated, then answered.
“Yes, ma’am. We had to stay longer. I just got home. He might still be on the way.”
She lied. Not for Dominic. But for Aria. After what she had seen earlier, she had a bad feeling. Was he with Jessie?
Her jaw tightened at the thought. That woman always caused trouble.
In a private apartment room, the night was far from quiet. Jessie and Dominic were together again.
Dominic had already finished once, but it was not enough for him. He wanted more.
“Dominic…” Jessie breathed. “You are insane tonight.”
He did not stop.
He had lost control completely. He moved with her until he reached that point again. But Jessie was not done either. She climbed over him and took control, moving in a way that drove both of them closer to the edge again.
Her breathing broke apart as she reached her release. Dominic held her tightly, still caught in the moment.
“Fuck… Jessie,” he muttered. “What did you give me?”
She smiled.
“Just something small,” she said.
Dominic let out a low laugh.
“That was not small,” he replied. “I can feel it again.”
He pulled her closer, ready to continue.
Jessie placed a hand against him, stopping him.
“What about your wife?” she asked.
Dominic went quiet. For a moment, he remembered everything. But it did not last. Desire pulled him back again. And once more, he chose Jessie. At home, Aria sat alone, waiting for a man who was not coming back yet.
