Chapter 128 This is my wife.....
Chapter 128 This is my wife.....
This is about love, not selfishness. What is wrong with the way I feel? What is wrong with loving my own stepfather? And what is wrong with marrying him when we both chose it? He loves me, and I love him. So tell me, where is the sin in that? Am I selfish for choosing him?
Then what about all of you who act like you are pure and clean?
You look at me like I am the dirtiest person alive, like I should not even exist. Yet if I decided to speak, I could expose the things your own children do when no one is watching.
They act worse than animals, yet you still stand there judging me like you are better than me.
So why do you treat me like this? Why do all of you parents pretend you are holy? I already admitted my mistake. I know taking my father from my mother is wrong. I know that. I am not blind to it. But this is not about pride. This is about love. I love him, and he loves me. Why is it so wrong for us to be together when we are married the right way, both in religion and in law?
And none of you even know what my mother did to me. None of you know how cruel she can be. Even an animal would treat me better than she ever did.
So please, stop looking for ways to tear me down. Stop staring at me like I am someone you want gone from this world.
Stop pushing me like this. Stop tearing me down piece by piece. I am not as strong as you think I am.
This is me.
Aria.
And this is my story, the one I believed would turn into something beautiful after our honeymoon in London. But instead, that was where my tears began and where everything started to hurt.
“Is she not a slut, mom?”
I heard it again. I breathed out slowly, wondering how long they would keep saying the same things about me.
Slut. Prostitute. Cheap woman.
They kept saying it again and again like it meant nothing, like I do not have a heart that can feel every single word.
Why do you treat me like this? I listened again when they kept talking.
“Of course she is a slut,” a woman answered, reacting to the girl who spoke first. I knew that voice. She was Dominic’s niece. “How can a daughter take her own father from her mother? She must have seduced Uncle Dominic with her body. I am sure of it.”
“And now that woman walks into our house like she belongs here. Mom, are you not going to throw her out? I feel sick just seeing her.”
“It is not that I do not want to,” the older woman replied. “You know your uncle. If we touch his wife, what do you think he will do? Do you want to be thrown out of this family? Do you want to end up with nothing?”
A small laugh almost came out of me. So they are afraid too. Afraid of losing everything. But still, they never think about the things they say to me.
What would happen if I told Dominic everything? I am sure he would throw them out without thinking twice.
I was tired of listening to them, tired of standing there while they tore me apart with their words, so I turned away and left the main hall. The house was full of Dominic’s family and business partners, all gathered together, all watching, all judging.
I looked around, but I could not find Dominic. The last thing I remembered was him saying he would go to the bathroom for a moment.
I glanced at the guests one more time before walking out, heading toward the back of the house where there was a garden and a swimming pool.
My steps slowed when I finally saw him. Dominic was there, laughing with his friends. And in front of him stood a woman wearing almost nothing. She had on a tiny bikini that barely covered her body.
What kind of woman dresses like that in front of my husband? I felt heat rise inside me. Jealous? Of course I was.
What kind of wife would stand there and feel nothing while her husband laughs with a woman dressed like that?
Without thinking, I stepped forward and cleared my throat. The moment they heard me, the woman quickly moved away from Dominic.
“Oh, you are here,” Dominic said casually.
I gave a small smile and walked up to him, standing right beside him.
“This is my wife,” he said to them.
The woman looked shocked. “Your wife? I thought your wife was older than you, Dominic.”
The question made things uncomfortable for a moment, but Dominic handled it and made it clear that I was his only wife. After that, the mood returned to normal.
He introduced me to his friends, and most of them were fine, except for one.
Geri.
That was his name. When I shook his hand, his eyes stayed on me longer than they should have. The way he kept looking at me made me uncomfortable.
I did not stay long after that. I made an excuse and went back inside, heading straight for the guest room.
Guest room.
Yes, that is where I am staying now. In Dominic’s family house. He told me his family was kind. But all I hear from them are insults.
Is that what he calls kindness?
I walked up the stairs without caring about the looks people gave me. At that moment, all I wanted was to be alone.
The moment I stepped into the room, everything became quiet. No voices. No insults. Just silence.
I sent Dominic a message, telling him I was in the room and wanted to rest. After that, I went to the bathroom. A bath would help me calm down.
Before stepping inside, I checked the time on my phone. It was almost seven in the evening. It was summer, so seeing people dressed like that woman earlier was normal here.
Still, I did not care. Right now, I just wanted to feel better. I sank into the water and stayed there for a long time, letting the warmth relax my body. When I was done, I cleaned myself properly, then wrapped a towel around my body and another around my hair.
When I stepped out, something felt different. The lights were no longer bright. Only the bedside lamp was on. My eyes moved toward the bed. There was a man lying there under the blanket.
“Dominic?” I said softly.
I walked closer and climbed onto the bed. It was him. Since when did he come back? And why was he already lying down like this?
“Hey… what is wrong?” I asked, trying to turn him toward me.
But before I could react, he pulled me down onto him. Without saying anything, he kissed me. The taste of wine filled the kiss. He had been drinking. I did not pull away. I let him take control, let him kiss me the way he wanted.
The room went dark, leaving only the light coming in from outside. With one strong movement, he pulled the towel from my body and turned us around so that he was above me.
The smell of his perfume filled the air, mixing with the warmth between us. His hands moved across my skin, making my body react without thinking.
A soft sound left my lips when he moved lower, giving me attention in ways that made it harder for me to think about anything else. Everything around me faded until there was only him.
Only him.
