Chapter 110 Why Do You Like Her

Chapter 110 Why Do You Like Her

So handsome... but also so familiar... why does he look so much like Robert?

No, he would never look at her with that kind of gaze.

Was that... Glenn? Hadn't he already left?

Isabella's mind was a mess. The alcohol had stripped away all her ability to think.

She just felt that the man in front of her was ridiculously handsome, and he smelled really good too—that clean scent with a hint of disinfectant that somehow made her feel safe.

She didn't answer, just stared at him blankly, her eyes confused and innocent, like a little deer that had wandered into the human world.

She didn't realize that her silence looked like consent to Robert.

He couldn't wait any longer and didn't want to wait anymore.

The next second, under everyone's gaze, he slowly lowered his head.

Those beautiful eyes never left her face, as if he wanted to carve her image into his very soul.

A warm breath, carrying a hint of alcohol, gently brushed against her face.

Isabella's eyelashes trembled uncontrollably.

Numbed by the alcohol, her movements were slow, and she didn't push him away.

Just as those cool, thin lips were about to touch Isabella's—

A furious, deep roar suddenly erupted around the booth.

"Stop!"

Along with that angry shout, a black figure, like a leopard breaking free from hell, charged over.

A loud crash, accompanied by the crisp shattering of bottles and glasses being swept off the table, and the figure had already reached Isabella.

Time seemed to freeze in that moment.

One second, it was intimate, hazy lighting and a heart-racing closeness. The next second, it was violent enough to overturn everything.

Another sharp sound.

A gust of wind struck. Robert only felt a sharp pain in his cheek as a tremendous force violently knocked him aside. He stumbled several steps, crashed into the booth's sofa, and his mouth instantly filled with a strong taste of blood. The gold-rimmed glasses on his nose were knocked off, falling to the ground with the lenses cracking into a spider-web pattern.

"Terry! What are you doing?" Sarah screamed, completely shocked by what was happening, instinctively pulling Isabella behind her.

Everyone in the booth was stunned, staring straight at this man who had suddenly appeared, radiating a dark, oppressive aura.

Terry stood there, his tall frame casting a large shadow in the hazy light, completely enveloping Isabella.

He was wearing a black trench coat tonight, collar open, revealing a black shirt underneath.

His deep eyes were now bloodshot, like two dim ghostly flames, fixed on Robert, who had just gotten up from the ground with blood at the corner of his mouth. His chest heaved violently, and fine beads of sweat covered his forehead—clearly, he had rushed here at top speed.

Calvin stood behind Terry, his scalp tingling, looking panicked. He was still holding his phone, its glaring screen showing the photo he had just secretly taken.

Terry coldly turned his head back, his eyes landing on Isabella.

These past few days, he had been hurt beyond repair by Isabella's sudden words, sitting alone in his office for hours on end like a walking corpse.

For the first time, he tasted what self-loathing felt like.

But after that sharp pain passed, what replaced it was an even crazier possessiveness and unwillingness... He couldn't just let it end like this.

So these past few days, he had Calvin tracking Isabella's movements—not a single second of her actions could be missed.

Tonight, he was still at the company handling documents when Calvin sent him photos of her and Sarah at the bar. The jealous fire in his heart was already uncontrollable. And when the real-time photo of Robert leaning toward her, about to kiss her, came through, the last thread of reason in his mind completely snapped.

"You're asking for death!" Terry clenched his fists, the words squeezed out from deep in his throat, hoarse and vicious, each word dripping with hatred.

He didn't give Robert any chance to react. Taking a step forward, he grabbed his collar tightly and threw a heavy punch.

Everyone heard the dull thud of the impact.

Terry's action made all the girls present gasp.

Although Robert was a doctor, he worked out regularly and wasn't weak.

The punch made his head snap to the side, blood instantly appearing at the corner of his mouth. The next second, he grabbed Terry's wrist and threw a punch right back without hesitation.

"Terry, have you lost your mind?"

"If I've lost my mind, you people drove me to it... You're my good friend, I could help you with anyone you liked, except her!" Terry roared, completely ignoring the cut on his own mouth, throwing another punch.

Neither wanted to hear the other's nonsense. As the words fell, the two men started fighting right there in front of everyone.

The sound of fists hitting flesh, heavy breathing, and the crash of overturned tables and chairs, mixed with the screams of people around them, made the whole scene spiral out of control.

When Terry had first entered, the bar manager had followed behind him like a lapdog.

Realizing something was wrong, he had already called all the bar's security personnel to the scene through his walkie-talkie.

Soon, several burly security guards rushed over and, with great effort, finally managed to pull the two red-eyed men apart.

Terry's mouth was also injured, and the sleeve of his black shirt was torn.

But his eyes only grew more vicious and crazed.

He stared fixedly at Robert, who was being held by the guards, as if he wanted to tear him apart alive.

Robert, standing opposite, was no better. He wiped the blood from his mouth, and without his glasses, those gentle eyes showed a coldness and killing intent completely different from his usual appearance.

"This..." After Sarah came to her senses, hiding beside Isabella and watching this once-in-a-lifetime scene, her scalp tingled.

She hadn't expected that on her first day back in the country, she'd witness something like this.

Robert's family background matched Terry's, but all these years, he had always been non-competitive, like a gentle gentleman...

Sarah really hadn't expected to see her cousin act like this in her lifetime.

She couldn't help but whisper, "Isabella, you're something else... Terry and Robert, two top-tier handsome guys fighting over you...Honestly, aside from it being a bit bloody, doesn't this feel kind of amazing?"
