CHAPTER NINETEEN
Alpha Blake's POV
I wasn't expecting the change of event that just happened now. Few minutes later I was talking to Lthuriel, and the next minute he was coughing out blood.
Though I wasn't scared… But yes I was scared.
"When would you free me Blake? I'm dying already and I don't have much time left!" Lthuriel said while panting breathlessly.
Though I am shocked and quite impressed because I can't even remember when this punching bag and also a friend called me by my name.
"I would do that as soon as we get Imelda back." I responded to him.
" Can't you see all the plans of getting Imelda back are being futile? It's near impossible Blake!" Lthuriel kept on saying.
" I'm actually happy you said "near impossible" Lthuriel, so it's not totally impossible. There are still chances that we might get her back and you know what that means to me right? I would get back my lost…" I trailed off not because I want to but because Lthuriel knows very well what I'm talking about and he alone knows my intentions and understands them more than I do.
"So, you won't help me out? I'm your friend Blake and I've been helping you for goddess knows how long and it's almost years now, I've been by your side Blake…just do me this one favor!" He said while pouring out his frustration.
"Ithuriel my friend, a deal is a deal." I stated simply but the young man in front of me is finding it hard to understand.
"Darn it!!!" He said through gritted teeths.
"Ithuriel!!! The deal is, when you help me get Imelda back I will free you and get you back to your old body and that can't happen if Imelda isn't with me now!!!" I growled as the actions of this young man where irritating me already.
"I'm dying!" He growled silently.
"The ball is in your court now Ithuriel, play it wisely." I snickered.
"How?" He asked me with total disinterest.
"Manipulate Imelda and Xavier more , when she feels so emotionally unstable and leaves the black claw pack, then you abduct her." I told Lthuriel as I thought about my own smart skills.
Though, I hope it works out.
"Okay???" Lthuriel gave a questioning answer.
"Make sure you search about the journal as you've said earlier." I reminded him.
" I know my job." He said to me with a smirk that I wish to wipe off from his face.
" Oh, that reminds me." I voiced while looking at Ithuriel.
" What's wrong?" He gave me a questioning look.
" When are you going to see the seelies? Don't forget they now see you as a traitor and I don't think they would want to see you, especially after knowing you're with me." I reasoned.
" They won't, besides I'm going to just ask the seelie queen some questions." Lthuriel responded.
" And you think she would give you answers to your questions without lying?" I asked as I gave him a scrutinizing look.
" Don't look at me like that and get it straight… We seelies don't lie." He retorted.
" Yeah…coming from some set of creatures who would never tell you the truth neither would they lie but with their level of studies over decades, they can twist the truth and you would never know what to believe. Pathetic!" I spat out.
" Whatever." Lthuriel said as he rolled his eyes irritatingly.
" By the way Ithuriel, I've been meaning to ask this question."
" Go on." He urged me to continue.
" Your name Ithuriel means angel and why…"
" I am a seelie…half mundane, half elves, half vampires, half warlock, half angel, half demon, half wizard and lastly, half lycan." He memorized it with a wink.
I must say that I'm shocked because I wasn't expecting this, no not at all.
"I would like to know why you were banished from the seelie clan and… you know."
" I was banished because of you Blake! My own people sees me as a traitor and sees you as a big threat to them." Ithuriel said.
" But why is that?" I asked as confusion was etched in my voice.
" That's what I can't tell… but the main reason I was banished is because they found out that I've been helping you with your devious act." He grumbled annoyingly.
" Ithuriel we are both devious." I said and chortled.
"Nope that is not true, I'm made with pure angel's blood." He retorted.
" But then you allowed yourself to be a monster of your own self." I responded and that really got him.
" Blake, my body was exchanged by the seelie queen as a punishment because of my sins. My soul has been transferred into that of a mundane, why because mundanes die and their body turns into dust and you know what, this body I'm in was already sick so it's dying and when it does, my soul would just wander on the surface of the earth not having anywhere to go. You see, that's why I badly need your help." Lthuriel said as tears trickled down his face.
But the thing is, I can't help him. He's a fucking seelie and those creatures are cunning, devious and maybe cruel. Yes he's my friend but then I don't trust him because I think he is putting up an act.
Though….I've been putting up an act for some years now.
"Are you helping me out or not?" He questioned with a pained expression.
"I ca..n—"
"Or forget it already Blake, I forgot you're a man with a dark heart. I'm always there whenever you need someone to vent your anger on, but what have I gotten in return… Nothing!" He didn't even allow me to finish what I was about to say before he started lecturing me. Oh yes, it was a lecture.
"Finish up your lazy ass work!!!" I yelled.
"And if I don't?" He questioned back at me matching my glare with his.
"I would do as you say but you have to start your work now Lthuriel." I said calmly but authoritatively too.
