“What?” The assistant manager was dumbfounded, with his eyes wide open.
Mr. Steffan glared at him and said, “You’re so reckless! Room 1231 is our boss’s room and is never open to the other guests. She lives in Room 1231. Do you know what it means? Apologise to her now! Otherwise, we’ll all be doomed. If I’m fired because of your actions, I won’t let you go!”
Hearing that, the assistant manager panicked. He looked at Estelle and then at Henry, trembling with fear. “Miss, is this boy your son?”
Estelle held Henry in her arms and said, “Yes. Can he stay here now?”
The assistant manager gulped nervously.
‘So, this ragged little boy is the son of our boss? I was rude to him and even stopped him from coming in. I can’t believe that I treated the young master of the hotel like that. If the boss knows that... Oh, I’m dead!’

“But you shouldn’t have pushed her!” Henry said as he opened his arms and stood in front of Estelle with tears on his face. “I saw you push her!”

Mr. Steffan was also very nervous. He quickly served Estelle a glass of water and said, “Miss, take a seat and rest. I’ll teach him a lesson later. Please don’t be angry.”

Estelle nodded and said, “It’s too cold outside. He’s just a kid, and it’s not good for him if he catches a cold after staying outside for a long time. Of course, I can understand that what you did was for the hotel. You can’t let anyone in casually.”
The assistant manager wiped the sweat on his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief.
Then he said, “Yes. After all, our hotel is upscale, and the guests are all of high status. If they see a shabbily-dressed child running around in the hotel, they will think that our hotel is low-end and not good enough.”
“No matter how high the status of the guests is, when they see a child staying outside in such cold weather, their first reaction should be to feel sorry for him rather than look down upon him.”
“I see. I won’t do such a thing anymore,” The assistant manager said with his head lowered.
Estelle looked around and saw Henry nestling in her mother’s arms.
He seemed to be talking to his mother about what had happened just now. And his mother was looking at Estelle worriedly.

Before Estelle finished her words, the assistant manager immediately said, “Miss, I’ll give her a raise and double, no, triple her salary! What do you think?”
Estelle was clear that she was not a hotel manager and didn’t have the right to decide everything, so she didn’t reply to him.

At this moment, a familiar car stopped at the hotel gate.
Seeing the car, Mr. Steffan said in surprise, “It’s our boss’s car. He’s back!”
Estelle turned around and looked at the gate of the hotel.
Then she saw the familiar black Porsche Cayenne slowly stop at the gate.
‘Is Mr. Mysterious coming?’ she wondered with an expectant look.
The next moment, the car door was pushed open, and a young man exited the car. He was tall, in a silver-grey suit, and looked about thirty years old. With his back to Estelle, he was talking to the doorman.
After that, he turned around slowly and walked into the hotel.
Estelle kept holding her breath nervously until she saw his face. The man was not Mr. Mysterious but the driver who had picked her up at Hudson’s House before.
“Miss Hudson, glad to see you. Mr. Mysterious asked me to pick you up and drive you to a place,” The driver walked up to her and said with a smile.
