While they were talking, the police arrived, and they quickly put the air cushion on the ground.

With a loud bang, the police officer shut the door of the police car.
Half an hour after Estelle arrived at the police station, she saw several policemen coming back with York.
York’s arm was encased in a plaster cast, yet he appeared to be in a cheerful disposition. When he spotted Estelle, he swiftly gestured towards her and exclaimed, “Officer, it was her who forced me into jumping off the building!”
The police officers cast disdainful glances at Estelle.
From their expressions, Estelle could guess what York must have told them.
‘York, you must have told the police that I, the cold-blooded and wicked-hearted niece, trespassed on “your” company and forced you to jump off the building, she thought silently.
After a while, Estelle was taken to the interrogation room.
“Miss Hudson, why did you force Mr. Grantham to jump off the building?” a policeman asked.
“I didn’t force him to do that,” Estelle responded calmly.
However, the police officer remained unconvinced. “Miss Hudson, he is your uncle, after all. Even if there’s a dispute between you, you can’t force him in such a manner.”
Upon hearing this, Estelle smiled and retorted, “Officer, is it against the law to trespass onto someone else’s property?”
“Absolutely!” the police officer affirmed. “Mr. Grantham alleges that you unlawfully acquired company shares from him. Miss Hudson, if this involves a substantial sum of money, you could be facing imprisonment!”
“How much money would be considered a substantial amount?”
“It varies. But if your company is publicly traded, its shares could be deemed as significant.”
“I understand,” Estelle acknowledged. “Then please arrest my uncle immediately. My father passed away nine years ago, and my mother and I are the legitimate inheritors of his assets and his company’s shares. However, my uncle illicitly seized all my father’s assets and shares. The company’s stock price was considerably higher eight years ago than it is now. If calculated based on the stock price at that time, the value of the assets he seized is indeed substantial.”
The police officer was taken aback. He spoke with a touch of embarrassment, “So, that’s the whole story.”
“Yes, that’s correct. My father died in a tragic car accident, and the culprits were imprisoned three years ago. You can verify the records if you’re skeptical. Out of consideration for our family relationship, I chose to overlook his previous actions and moved abroad to live with my mother to avoid any conflicts with him,” Estelle explained.
“However, over the past years, he has consistently caused disruptions in my company. And today, he went as far as threatening to take his own life if I don’t surrender the company to him. Officer, I have faith in the fairness of the law. I have never engaged in any unlawful activities. Given that my uncle claims I’ve taken over ‘his company,’ you could inquire if he’s willing to resolve this matter through legal means,” Estelle stated candidly.
The policeman nodded, believing that she was telling the truth while York had lied to them before.
Before he could say anything, York broke into the interrogation room and said, “Sir, she forced me to jump off the building, and I almost died. Is it a crime of intentional homicide?”
The policeman was speechless. “You just bruised your arms. You are far from death.”
“But I did jump off the building! I was driven desperate by her and had to commit suicide,” York argued.
“What did she do to make you desperate?” the policeman asked.
“She didn’t return my company to me! I attempted to visit the company on numerous occasions, but she turned me away, leaving me no choice but to resort to drastic measures. I wanted to expose her true nature to the public, ensuring that no one would collaborate with the Hudson Group!” York exclaimed.
“The Hudson Group?” the policeman asked.
“Yes, my company is called the Hudson Group, which is engaged in the jewelry industry.”
“The company is called the Hudson Group, then it should belong to the Hudson family, shouldn’t it? Miss Hudson’s family name is Hudson while your family name is Grantham. Are you sure the company is yours?”

“No way,” Estelle interrupted him. Then she turned to the policeman and said, “Sir, I will sort out all the evidence I have and send it to you in three days. Can I leave now?”
