Half an hour before the start of the boot, the director constantly confirmed with the court that if everyone was there. The court stuttered and Harriet learned from the words of others that the actress of the heroine had not yet arrived.
It seemed that the first actress had some big boss back her and the drama was funded by that big boss. The director was unpleasant but he did not dare to rush the actress.
The actors'scripts were kept secret, and Harriet did not participate in the opening ceremony, so she did not know who the heroine was. Until ten minutes before the filming, she saw Irene entering the studio in a peaceful pace.
Harriet:"..."
Oh, was Irene a prophet?
"I'm sorry, director, the road is jammed."Irene apologized to the director. She was not in a hurry even though she knew that the drama was about to start shooting,."I'll go to dress up immediately."
The director could not blame on her so he just waved his hand. The shooting time was delayed by half an hour.
Irene was obviously arrogant. She slightly moved her long hair and was going the dressing room with her assistant. Her eyes flickered when she saw Harriet in the crowd.
"Harriet Clark!"
Harriet didn't plan to hide. When she saw Irene looking at her, she greeted directly"Miss Whitty, I didn't expect that we could cooperate again. It was a surprise."
"Oh!"Irene sneered. A few days ago, she heard that Harriet had terminated her contract with Pleasure Media, but she did not expect her to come back to play again so soon."Which rich man did you hook up this time?"
"She doesn't have a big boss back her!"Some people in the crowd gloated,"Otherwise she won't act as a maid with only a few lines."
"A maid."Irene thought for a while, and looked at Harriet a little more coldly. She was still pondering about how to retaliate Harriet and now the chance just came to her!
Harriet sighed.
Kind people tended to be bullied. These people who saw that she was not powerful anymore could not wait to oppress her!
"That is because I am too stupid to be favored."Harriet raised her red lips. She was beautiful, and even if she wore simple outfit, her charm could not be hide, which made Irene displeased.
This woman had been abandoned but she still laughed!
"Why are you all standing still?"The director was already displeased as Irene was late. Seeing everyone standing there, his temper broke out,"Do you want to lose your jobs? Get out of here if you do not want to play."
The crowd dispersed, Irene also gave Harriet a cold glance and went into the dressing room.
When Irene puts finished her makeup, they started shooting.
In the first scene, Irene went to the director during the break,"Director, I don't think that crowd actress is competent. The audience usually prefer pretty faces! It is better to fire her."
The director checked the equipment. Indeed, she was not beautiful and even had bad acting skills. He was about to ask the script girl to change her and Irene spoke.
"I think that girl is good."Irene pointed to Harriet."Anyway, she doesn't have a lot of scenes to film, she might as well play anther small role to make a little more money."
It was clear that she planned to make trouble to Harriet.
The director frowned, and just wanted to say something. Harriet had come over, with a smile on her lips.
"Director, I was just worried that I would have no chance to play."Harriet said,"Playing a few more roles is also helpful to improve my acting skills. You can pay me regard on my performance."
The director agreed finally since Harriet said so,"OK, then you go and read the script first."
Irene was vigilant with Harriet action.
She had cooperated with Harriet before, knowing that this woman was not easy to mess with. She was going to embarrass her but now Harriet's direct agreement made her scared.
In the second scene, we were filming the drama of the falling water. The scene was just next to a lotus pond, Harriet played a passerby who rescued Irene when she fell into the water, and she had only one line,"Are you all right?"
After the foreplay, Irene accidentally fell into the lotus pond with a sneer on her lips.
As long as Harriet came down to save her, funny thing would happen!
Harriet, who played the passerby, jumped to the pond without any hesitation to save Irene. Irene's smile turned to a laugh, but her head was severely pressed into the water before she could bully Harriet.
Irene was a bad swimmer. She was almost out of breath when she was buried in the water. She tried to struggle but her body was being held down. Then she heared someone exclaimed,"Miss, are you okay?"
It was Harriet's voice.
With the director's order, Irene was dragged out. She drank a lot of water and coughed for a long time. She put on a towel and went to Harriet, angrily,"Harriet, did you want to drown me!"
"I, I didn't!"Harriet panicked, nervously,"I played based on the script. You can confirm it with the director. How dare I play tricks against you."
"You!"
