Chapter 36 Office Affairs
Chapter 36 Office Affairs
There was a glint of mischief in his eyes, I pulled back, staring at him with a cold expression on my face “Oh don’t stare at me like that” he chuckled, hands behind his back “You’re making me scared” he smiled. Taking a deep breath, I picked up my bag and headed to the couch that sat in the hall.
“Alright—it’ll be my treat, to apologize but I’m not taking your offer about paying—I’ll pay up myself” I said coldly, my eyes away from him. He walked to my side.
“Deal” he stretched his hand towards me for a handshake. I slipped my hand in his, at least we should be on good terms.
Right after, I handed over my credit card to the man at the counter, screaming internally as he pushed the buttons and the machine and handed me a keycard with a light smile. “That’s gonna take a toll on me” I heaved as I dragged the bag up the stairs before someone offered to help, thankfully, it was a staff.
Unlocking the door, I took a deep breath, sucking in the beautiful scent of the room, for the while I’ll be here, I’ll have to search for a new apartment and live there instead of leeching off Dante.
After I had settled in, I made my way back to work. I could picture the chaos that would be going on inside the building. I quickly made my way up to the elevator when I heard a familiar tone call from behind.
“Lily—hey Lily, I’m right here” I turned to see who it was, his soft voice reminding me quickly of his face, the large smile on his lips as he rushed to me, those beautiful set of eyes and disheveled brown hair, it was Jameson. I couldn’t believe that I would be gone for so long, so long that I had started to miss him.
“Hey James—did you dye your hair?” I chuckled amidst the glares I could feel on my body from miles away, he leaned in closer, I ran my fingers through it, it looked better “I guess you did a little cut too—it looks good”
“So—how did you enjoy the banquet?” He asked with his hands clasped in front of him, his fresh scent of cinnamon enticing my nostrils, no hostility around him, it felt good. A smile formed on my lips, maybe narrating the events would make me tear up.
“Did you forget that we were kidnapped?” I whispered, signalling my fingers that he come closer “And we had to spend a lot of time in the hospital—I have a feeling that Denise has her hands tied to it”
“Is that why she was called up this morning for interrogations?” He gasped, I could see the shock on his face. I hadn’t even been informed about that.
“It could be” I whispered back, pulling him to a side “When it all happened—there was no news coverage, also, the ambulance had stopped all devices, so I was shocked to hear you tell me about it the next morning after the banquet. I definitely think she has something to do with the kidnapping and it would be a huge deal if she was” I spilled like some gossip buddy whilst his eyes widened with shock.
“You know—now you’ve said it, it makes absolute sense, I mean, how would she know that you both were kidnapped by a mafia group if she wasn’t involved” he paused with a smile “Any ways—I’m so glad that you and the Chairman are okay, I’ve got some work to do” he said almost immediately, waving off as he made his way to his office.
“What was that all about?” I mumbled, noticing how he quickly dismissed our conversation. And then again, the reports even by the police hadn’t mentioned a mafia group, it was all covered with the ruse of thugs. I stared into the hall he had disappeared into, tilting my head sideways when I felt a light tap on my shoulder, drawing my attention to the husky man in a black suit that welcomed me every time I made my way to the office.
“You’ve been called upon miss Thompson—” I lightly nodded, a smile on my lips, I had missed listening to him speak, leading me to the secluded elevator.
“I’ve missed you my mystery man” I chuckled, reminiscing that I still hadn’t known his name. There was a smile on his face and when I got into the elevator, I could see him mouthing “I’ve missed you too miss Thompson”.
I clutched onto my bag as the door chimed open, letting me out. I quickly walked over to my office, soaking the scent of dust and light roses, I turned to look, there were roses in a vase. I walked further to my desk to see the files laid neatly in a stack, the first one read ‘The eclipse’ that seemed to ring a bell on memory lane.
Just as I took it into my hand, I noticed the phone ring. I walked over, placing it on my ear “Thompson speaki—”
“The eclipse file into my office, right now” his soft baritone had gone cold through the phone, he had definitely transitioned back to himself. Rolling my eyes, I placed the phone back on the receiver, clutching onto the file, I sighed heavily, reminding myself that it still pays my bills.
Quickly, I made my way to his office, knocking a bit before hearing a light “Come in” I had learnt from my first encounter with Claire that I should always have the courtesy of knocking. Heaving a sigh of perplexity, I turned the door knob, letting myself in but the chair was empty. I raised a brow at the desk which looked neatly arranged but having an empty swivel chair, a voice has just told me to come in and here it was, empty but then I heard the door close right behind me.
I turned to see who it was, he stood in front of the door, a grin on his face as he pulled onto my arm, dragging me to his body, I felt weightless as he clinged ion to me, his face in my hair and his soft breath on my neck, this had instilled in me the case of dejavu.
“You smell heavenly” he whispered, his grip tightening around my body, his body so close to mine, his scent lingering in my nose that it made it difficult to think right. A visual image of his hands traveling up my body while his lips went on my neck, sucking and making its mark on them.
“Mister Moretti—pl—please it’s not the time to do this” I pleaded, my body almost folded in his arms, his face had gone down to my chest.
“I’ve missed you—I can’t bear to be apart from you” he mumbled. I stared down at him, we had shared the whole trip together, the only thing we had done differently was the flight back home. He lifted up his eyes to meet mine and immediately flushed red, those light green eyes of his looked beautiful, calling onto my name, for a while I hadn’t felt this much passion.
“Not now” I stood firm, breaking his grip, glaring at him, it was obvious that he couldn’t control himself while I struggled to keep my foot on the ground, at least one of us would need to be grounded “You asked for this file” I waved it in his face, placing it on his desk and turning to leave. He held onto my hand, pulling onto me again. I thought we had already passed this part of the conversation.
“Heard you didn’t get home today” he started. I was sure it wouldn’t get past him “Casperall called saying she was worried” he continued.
“I—I just need some time away” I replied, knowing this was indeed a dangerous answer.
“Away from what?” He dragged me gently, letting his chest make contact with my back, his face close to my ear, his lips kissing my neck. This is exactly what I had I wanted to avoid, yet, his lips set me ablaze, bringing memories of his body rubbing against mine, his member on my body.
Snap out of it woman!
“Wh—what if so—meone sees?” I stuttered, feeling his hand play with my breast from my top. There was no response, instead, I felt his hand go for the zipper, pulling it down. My brain hadn’t registered this when I picked my outfit.
“Who would far come this far?” He whispered with his soft baritone that I could remember moaned at me the last time we spent a room together. His hand went down to my breast, fiddling them, pinching, I bit my lower lip to hold in a moan “Holding in are we?” He chuckled. I could feel his bulging member from behind me but it was too late to move, I had already begun to enjoy it.
I felt his hand on my skirt, I placed mine over his, a reminder to stop “You made me worry—this is your punishment” he sneered, planing kisses on my neck as his finger pinched onto my nipple and the other, going up my skirt and moving around my panties.
“You’re already wet” he whispered, his fingers moving around my clit, pushing my panties to the side and moving slowly, I arched my back, placing my hands on the desk as I suppressed my moans. And when I thought it wouldn’t feel better, his fingers went in, stroking around my clits first slowly and then the tempo increased, making my resolve break, I let out a moan.
“That’s my girl” he snickered, his fingers rubbing my clit as he pulled down my panties with his other hand, my body shivered at the thought of being caught with the boss but my body had started too much pleasure to care and then it happened. I could feel his member close to my vaina, rubbing against me.
“It—feels—so good” I moaned as he went back and forth, his member rubbing against me the wrong way, I let out a moan as he kept thrusting but then a knock came in, making me place my hands over my mouth.
“Mister Moretti—is miss Thompson here?” The male voice came from outside.
“Yes—yes she is” he kept on thrusting, my body had become thrilled with fear and pleasure from his thrusts. He leaned in “Answer him so he can go away—or else we’ll be discovered” he whispered as I tried so hard to suppress the moan in my throat.
It was bad enough that I had to try to shut my mouth, now I have to act like everything’s fine?
“I’m here” I struggled to say “Please head back—to my office, I’ll be done in a minute” I quickly threw my hands over my mouth but then he thrusted harder and I felt a moan escape my lips—one so loud that I’m sure I’d be caught having an office affair with my CEO.
Chapter 48: Revenge And Blood
There was dead silence in the room and then his body came too close to mine “You might have just exposed us Amorino” he smirked, placing his finger down below and swabbing around it, it made me feel excited, my stomach churned the right way and then he turned me to face him, licking his finger “But I don’t care—you’re mine and I’d rather let everyone know that you’ll be married to me” his hands cupped my face. He leaned in, pressing his lips onto mine.
Not holding back, I kissed him, letting our tongues intertwine as I sat on his desk, his lips taking hold of me, pushing on, leaving no space to breathe but that’s what I wanted, raw kisses and then I placed my hand on his member. He placed his hand down, stopping mine, he pulled away “Don’t you remember? This is also your punishment for leaving me that way” he breathed.
A smirk formed on my lips, he was done with his turn, making me expose myself. I would do this quickly before leaving “So you won’t let me finish what I started?” I stared into his eyes with the most seductive look my eyes could muster. He held my gaze.
“You’ve become quite bold—I never want you to stop” he pressed his lips against mine as I took it out, was as taking my hands over it. A smirk formed on my lips, I dropped down, letting my hand caress his skin, stroking lightly, then faster, just when I noticed his eyes fall into satisfaction, I took my hands off, before standing up to my feet and leaving, rushing to my office for a quick clean up. He didn’t utter a word, he couldn’t. This was payback.
“Yes sir—you asked for me?” I asked the man with a bulging mid section as I opened the door to let him in “Right this way” I said with a light smile. He was one of the members of the board who could access this part of the building. His grey hairs thinner than grains, his big body making loud sounds as he moved. I guess even the dark king Dante couldn’t hand pick your investors.
“Yes miss Thompson—the board would like to ask some questions regarding the incident that occurred two weeks ago” he started. For someone with such a size, his voice sounded mismatched, ultimately manly and raspy as his aide stood by his side while he spoke.
Taking my seat, I listened to him speak “We apologize for the trauma inflicted on you as a result of the incident, HR will make sure you are compensated for your troubles” I could feel the excitement run through my blood. Right on time—just when I needed the money.
“It is an honor to meet you mister Nicholas—I was quite shaken by the incident but now, I feel better, my medical bills were also paid off—”
He interrupted me “But it doesn’t pay for the shock you must have encountered, you’ll be communicated to before the end of the day—Good day miss Thompson” I slightly nodded, standing up as he did the same, leading him out the door and down the elevator.
His words lingered on my mind. That night was horrifying. I thought it would be the last time I had taken deep breaths, thankfully, he came to save me. My knight in shining armor. I hadn’t noticed it until he spoke about it, I was in shock and I couldn’t even admit it to myself.
As I stared straight ahead whilst the elevator door chimed open, I heard a distant chaos, a woman screaming and yelling. It was odd.
“Let go of me!” She yelled. I paused, turned to look at her. It was Denise, her hands bound behind her back. It made me wonder if there was a least embarrassing way for her to be escorted out. Her hair looked ragged and her outfit covered in dust as her eyes were red, tears and anger flowing down.
“All I’ve ever done is serve mister Moretti and this company’s interest and now—now, you accuse me of being the mastermind behind that incident!” Her voice echoed throughout the building, drawing the attention of staff and passerby. “I’m innocent!” Her voice grew louder with each sentence. But then after a while she paused as she was being taken away, moving swiftly through the defenses of the men who had once held her and rushing towards me, she pulled out an object, one I couldn’t quite see properly. I shut my eyes, hearing a sift through clothing, I looked down, it wasn’t my clothing, I wasn’t the one getting hit or stabbed.
“Da—mister Moretti!” I yelled, his body had come in between the object and myself but he stood, his eyes glaring at her as I noticed the droplets of blood on the ground. My ears couldn’t make much sense of the little chatter and gasps.
“Sir—are you ok—” the men who had once held Denise asked before Dante put out his finger in the air, urging them to stop in their tracks. I threw my hands over my mouth as I watched in horror almost a replay of what happened in Italy. The smell of fresh blood, the droplets falling to the floor as his hands looked bloody, just like before.
“I—I’ll ki—ll you and every—everyone else!” She yelled at the top of her lungs, her hair ragged on her face. “You deserve to die!” She continued but Dante stayed unfazed as the men had begun to try to disperse everyone who watched. While some protected Mr Nicholas. I stood frozen at the spot—my heart racing at the thought that it would’ve been me or worse, his vital spots.
“I gave you all the benefirs Denise” his voice was soft, low, yet, I had grown accustomed to hearing him speak so softly “I never intended for this to end this way” then a group of people in uniforms took her by the arms, binding her with handcuffs. I had subtly asked the questions in my mind as to why that wasn’t the first thing they had done after she had been interrogated.
The gasps around us only grew louder as people held up their devices, trying their best to capture what their eyes had seen with their phones. Just as she was dragged away “You’re just a toy! Just like everyone else!!” She yelled some more. Her voice ringing in my head. A sense of deja vu mixed with fear and anger seeped into my skin, I hadn’t heard that in a while and it made me wonder if she was talking to me, that sense of familiarity clung to my mind.
But I turned my attention back to Dante, his bleeding hand. I heaved a heavy breath before tapping him on the shoulder “Sir—you need to go to the hospital” I suggested, trying my best to contain the anger I had felt from hearing her call me a ‘toy’ and the care I had lumped in my heart for him as I noticed the droplets get worse.
He didn’t respond, instead he walked off, heading back to the elevator “Clean this up and get the CEO a doctor!” One of the security men said sharply as I made my way back to my office.
“Just get me a first aid kit—some towels , I’ll handle it” I told the cleaner who moved swiftly to the scene.
“You need to get that treated” I said calmly as I made my way to his office to see him pacing around like some anticipating child. His hands still bloody instinctively reminding me of the incident two weeks ago. Never a dull moment.
“Can you stop moving around so I can help you?!” I yelled. He exhaled, walking back to his chair, placing a finger on his temple. I heaved a sigh of relief as I took the kit to the table. Taking his hand, I could see how deep the cut had been. Whatever she used was quite sharp but not sharp enough and so it left jagged edges on his skin.
“You’ll need to get to the hospital” I said as I took out some ointment and medication from the kit. I stared at the wound with much amazement. How could someone be this injured and he didn’t flinch from pain or yell out in agony, left for me, I’d be on the floor unconscious.
“You’re amazing” I muttered as I used the cotton swab to clean the area he had washed off but still ended up bleeding. I took out the bandage, laid it on the side as I let my eyes scan the injury while cleaning the area around it “I understand that you’re angry and you feel betrayed but you have to see a doctor” I continued. He didn’t respond, instead, now he stared at me, having that sad look in his eyes. He placed his hand on my face.
“I’m not angry because I feel betrayed—I’m scared of losing you Lily and the thought of letting a knife threw you would decapitate me, you’re more precious than anything else” his soft baritone melted my heart and although I smiled at him, I had a feeling she was telling the truth, that she was innocent but I hadn’t made my mind yet on telling Dante who else I had begun to suspect.
Jameson.
