Stop This
Victoria's POV
Alpha Derick groaned and almost left his seat, but I held his arm and gave him a pleading look while he grunted and relaxed back on his seat. The tension in the room calm a bit before alpha Lin stood on his feet
''Judging from what you all have said, It's obvious there is no good reason for this fight and I don't know why this fight should take place.'' Alpha Lin said those words, while I chuckled loudly to his word, bringing the attention of everyone on me. It was obvious he was terrified of the fight.
''Our reasons are solid enough to cause a fight.'' A vampire spoke in anger as he met gaze with me, but quickly looked away.
''We've already given you reasons for this fight. If there is no further discussion, we would like to take our leave.'' Bernard said those words and stood on his feet, while I did the same.
''Can I have a moment with you.'' I asked, which made him shrugged his shoulders and went for the door.
''What are you doing." Alpha Derick asked worriedly, while I just gave him an assuring smile and walked away. We both left the room and stood outside the door.
''What are you doing, Bernard?'' I asked, not in anger, but in a worried tone. Bernard was a friend to me, and I can't see myself fighting against him.
''What I should have done a long time.'' He said and took a step closer to me.
''I should have killed him when I had the Chance.'' He groaned and took another step closer to me, and I did not move away.
''You are mine Vicky and no one will take you away from me.'' He spoke with gritted teeth while I heaved a heavy sigh and said,
''Bernard!'' I call out his name while taking hold of his two arms.
''You are a very good friend to me, Bernard. I like you a lot, and I can't see myself fighting against you.'' I pleaded, but he gently took my hands off his arms and took a step away from me.
''You know I can call off this war if I want to…'' He paused and took a step closer so that we were just an inch apart.
''I'll tell the vampires that I can no longer fight with them, and they will have no other choice than to withdraw the fight…'' He said
''Then why don't you do.'' I pleaded
''Do you know how many thousands of your kind and my kind that would die because of this war.'' I pleaded. I wasn't scared for myself, but I was scared for innocent lives that would be lost because of a stupid war.
''I'm not going to kill anyone, I'm only interested in one person, and that's alpha Derick. Once he is dead, then my war is over.'' He said firmly, and my dream flashed in my head. I remembered walking on dead bodies searching for Alpha Derick only to meet him on the floor laying on his pool of blood.
''Victoria.'' Bernard's voice brought me out of my thought. We held each other's gaze and I could tell he was looking worried and concerned.
''Are you okay!'' He asked, while I shook my head and took hold of his two hands and gave him a pleading look.
''Please stop this. I beg you to stop this.'' I pleaded in fear as my memory flashed in my head.
''I'm sorry I can't. I really love you and want you by my side, but I can't have you until he is out of the way.'' Bernard said with a groaned which made me gulped and let go of his hands.
''You want this fight just because you want to have me. You are risking the life of thousand people just because you want to have me.'' I asked in rage while I shook my head.
''What if I tell you, you come out victorious and there is no Victoria.'' Hearing those words from me, he furrowed his eyebrows confused and gave me a questioning look
''What if I'm being killed in the war, what would be your gain.'' I asked in a serious tone, which made him groaned and said
''Nothing is going to happen to you, I'll make sure of that.'' He said those words in a serious tone while I scoffed and said
''Don't be too sure Bernard…'' I said those words as a treat and saw him groaned angrily.
''Let's stop this, Bernard, it doesn't worth it.'' I pleaded, but he shook his head and took a step closer to me
''I'll see you in the battlefield.'' He whispered those words into my ear and walked back to the hall. Sighing heavily, I followed him and met the curious gaze of everyone on us, which I ignored and sat back on my seat. The hall was silent, with none of us saying a word, until Alpha Lin spoke up.
''Is there something to say.'' He directed those words to me while I heaved an heavy sigh and didn't know what to say.
''I believe the fight is still taking place.'' Alpha Derick said those words as he held gaze with Bernard. His eyes were filled with anger and I knew he was trying his best to hold himself.
''Very well then, see you in the next four days.'' Bernard nonchalantly said those words as he stood on his feet, while the other vampires did the same.
''Don't die too soon.'' Bernard said those words to Derick, who groaned Angrily at him. We watched the vampires leave and Only the werewolves were left.
''What do we do.'' Alpha Elliot asked worriedly.
''What we should all do. Go to your packs and put your packs in order.'' Alpha Derick said while leaning his back on his seat with a blank look on his Face.
''I'll pass the information around.'' Alpha Violet announced, while Everyone became silent. It was obvious everyone was in deep thought.
''Some healers shouldn't fight this war, they should stick around to heal anyone who gets injured.'' I suggested while everyone nodded their head in agreement.
''This is tragedy.'' Alpha Lin grumbled as he nervously ran his fingers through his already messy hair, it was obvious he was really scared which made me scoffed and said,
''Too bad you can't sacrifice me this time.'' I said those words while holding gaze with alpha Lin, but he nervously looked away. The hall was filled with an awkward silence until alpha Derick spoke up
''I think we should all go home and get ourselves prepared.'' Everyone hums in agreement as they all stood on their feet and communicate with themselves as they leave the room. Alpha Derick and I went back to the car and the driver drove off.
A few minutes into the drive I spoke up
''Are you okay?'' I asked because he was oddly silent.
''Yeah, I'm fine.'' He heaved a heavy sigh and relaxed on the seat of the car. Few minutes later, the car drove into the mansion and parked in the parking lot.
We both came out of the car and went straight to alpha Derick's room. When we got in, alpha Derick poured some wine in a glass and took a sip of it before meeting gaze with me.
''You remember my friend James?'' He asked, while I furrowed my eyebrows trying to recall who he was talking about.
''The gentleman who father asked you do show around.'' He said, while I nodded my head.
''Yeah, what about him.'' I asked
''He is in China and I want to send you to him. He has top security around him, and no vampire will find you there.'' He said those words while avoiding my gaze.
''I won't be able to make it if anything happen to you.'' He murmured those words to my hearing and took a sip of his drink.
''I was able to live all this while because I knew you were still alive, but believe me I won't be able to live a day if I know you are truly gone.'' He said those words in a pleading tone while I just stood and listened to his plead.
Alpha Derick loves and care for me and I need no seer to tell me this. He was sincerely scared, but not for himself.
''Hey!'' I called out his name as I moved closer to him and took the glass of wine from his hand. I kept the wine on the table before holding gaze with him.
''I understand your fear, but I want you to know that I'm not that scared little Victoria you knew two years ago. I have grown to my full potentials and can take care of myself.'' I assured him with those words, but he shook his head in disagreement.
''Listen…'' I paused and placed a soft kiss on his lips before pulling away.
I was given this gift and abilities for this purpose, and I can't disappoint my kind and run away when they need me the most.'' I mumbled, but alpha Derick shook his head in disapproval.
''I'm here, other alphas are here.'' He begged, but I shook my head and embrace him in a tight hug.
''Mine!'' My wolf whispered in my head.
''Please let me fight by your side, It will be a privilege to fight alongside you.'' I pleaded.
