Reason for this fight

Victoria's POV

We arrived back in the mansion and went straight to Alpha Derick's room. I saw him busy on the phone talking about the outcome of the meeting. Tiredly, he heaved a heavy sigh and ended the call.

''Is everything okay.'' I asked while he nodded his head and sat on the couch beside me.

''Some alphas are already backing out.'' He scoffed and shook his head

''Then they are not worthy to be called alphas.'' I replied, and just then a knock came on alpha Derick's door.

''Who is it.'' He asked

''It's me my lord, Jane is at the sitting room.'' The servant at the door announced.

''Tell her we will be with her shortly.'' He responded and we both left the room. We took the stairs down to the sitting room and met Jane with Aunt Laura.

''Vicky?'' She called out

''Yes, aunt Laura.'' I replied,

''Oh my Goodness.'' She exclaimed happily and gave me a tight hug.

''Thank Goodness I could finally see you again.'' She murmured in relief as she pulled away from me.

''How are you.'' She asked

''Very well Aunt Laura.'' I responded while we both took our seats. I noticed the big smile on aunt's face as she kept staring at me with stunned eyes, it was obvious she never thought she would see me this Way.

''How are you, Aunt.'' I asked

''I'm fine.'' She replied with a smile while a drink was brought to us.

''So, how did the meeting go.'' Jane asked curious.

''Nothing special, we are having a meeting with the vampires. Let's see if we can have a peace talk.'' Alpha Derick replied while Jane heaved a sigh and said

''I know the vampires, they won't agree to peace.''

''Well, it's their lost.'' I replied confidently while Aunt flashed me a big and proud smile.

''You've really changed Vicky, I've been waiting for this version of you for a long time.'' She spoke happily, while I smiled and looked away.

''I wonder why some werewolves are scared of vampires.'' Jane groaned while her aunt replied.

''In as much as we have advantage over them, please keep in mind that they are fast and skillful.'' Aunt Laura responded, while Jane rolled her eyes and looked away.

''I can't wait for this fight, my wolf is eager for this fight.'' Jane spoke happily which made me smiled at looked at Alpha Derick's direction. He was staring at his phone for a while before looking up.

''The meeting with the vampires have been set and luckily for us, it's happening here in California.'' Alpha Derick said those words and held my gaze.

''How many vampires are coming.'' I asked curious.

''I think only the high chiefs, including Bernard.'' He announced. Hearing those words, I gulped but didn't say a word.

''You all should be careful.'' Aunt Laura advised, while I just nodded my head without saying a word.

''We should leave.'' Aunt Laura said those words while she and Jane stood on their feet.

''Do well to tell us the outcome of the meeting.''

''Alright Aunt.'' I responded

''Bye!'' We both said our goodbyes and Jane teleported them away. Sighing heavily, I placed my head on Derick's shoulder while he gently strokes it.

''Are you okay.'' He asked.

''Yeah.'' I nodded my head and relaxed in his arms.

The next day we were both in the car going to the venue of the meeting. The car came to a halt and we both went down. Derick and I walked by each other side before getting to the room where the meeting was being held. We got to the door, and it was opened by a guard who lowered his head and let us in.

The moment we stepped into the room, my wolf became uncomfortable as she whispered enemies to me. Slowly I followed Derick into the hall and noticed the seats were kept in a circle and almost all the seats were taken except for few seats left. Alpha Derick and I sat on an empty seat while I moved my gaze around the room. Each one of them eyes were on me and especially the vampires who must have heard a lot about me. I held a gaze with a vampire and saw him smirk at me, while I rolled my eyes and looked away.

The door of the hall opened, and I heard footsteps walking in. curiously I turned to the direction of the door only to see Bernard walking in with a blank look on his Face. We met gaze, and he held my gaze for a second before looking away. He took out a seat and majestically sat on it while three other vampires walked in.

The seats were complete, and the meeting Begin with alpha Lin standing on his feet. He made an introduction of everyone before getting to the reason we were all here.

''We want to know the reason for this fight. I mean, we can't fight a war when we don't know the reasons for it.'' Alpha Lin Said while few alphas nodded their head in agreement.

The room was silent for a while before a vampire stood on his feet and said

''The werewolves have been oppressing and tormenting us for ages. We feel this is the right time to prove who is the strongest among us.'' Hearing those words from him, I couldn't help but chuckled at his words. What a stupid reason to cause a war. All eyes fell on me, which I Ignored.

''Well…'' Another vampire stood on his feet and moved his angry gaze on the werewolves.

''The vampires have so many reasons to fight this war, but the most important is that the werewolves have dominated enough. They have taken our lands and even won the heart of humans, making us look like a beast in the eyes of humans…'' He did not finish his words because alpha violet cut him off.

''But you are a beast. We don't need to show that to the human, you showed them yourself.'' The minute he said those words, all the vampires groaned angrily and brought out their fangs ready to strike, except for Bernard who sat on his seat with a blank look on his Face.

''Enough!'' Bernard yelled those words to the other vampires, who groaned and took in their fangs. The room was in total silence until Bernard spoke up.

''I don't know the reason for this fight, neither do I want to know. For me, this fight is personal, and I'll make sure it happens because I can't wait to chop off Alpha Derick's head.'' He said those words while holding gaze with alpha Derick.
