Chapter 65 Bryce Uses His Grandma
“Responsibility? How dare you ask me to take responsibility? I’m a guest here—it’s your job to serve me! Besides, she’s just a waitress; not making a big deal out of this is actually a favor to her!” Kelly showed no sign of guilt and remained haughty.
Hearing this, the gathered guests immediately turned on Kelly Johansen. They saw her as a woman with no manners.
The housekeeping staff member simply bowed her head and continued to cry.
Rossie stood up elegantly and looked Kelly straight in the eye. “If you’re dissatisfied and have a complaint about our service, please file it at the designated location and we’ll address it and provide appropriate compensation. However, in this case, you’ve accused our employee of something she didn’t do—at the very least, you should apologize to her.”
“You want me to apologize to her? A housekeeping staff? Don’t you realize the difference in our status?” Kelly still insisted.
Just then, Kelly was about to say something else when suddenly…
Thud
The housekeeping staff fell to the floor and fainted. Everyone was immediately shocked and panicked at what had happened. Rossie quickly knelt down and loosened the housekeeping staff member’s belt, making sure she was breathing properly.
“Darren, call an ambulance!” Rossie ordered.
“I’ve already called an ambulance. The medical team is on their way now.”
At that very moment, a voice so familiar to Rossie’s ears rang out. When Rossie turned around, she found Bryce walking toward her, looking as charming and captivating as ever.
Bryce and Rossie locked eyes for a moment, and both froze for a few seconds.
“B… Bryce!” Kelly hadn’t expected to run into him this time, and of course, this made her anxious.
Even though her mother considered Bryce an outcast, Kelly was still afraid of Bryce, who now led the Johansen Group’s business. Moreover, Bryce wasn’t as weak as his father.
“Steve, take Kelly away from here!” Bryce ordered in a cold tone.
After saying this, he turned to Kelly and spoke firmly, “Wait at home, and we’ll settle this there!”
The look in Bryce’s eyes was so sharp that it was as if his words were an order that could not be defied. Kelly couldn’t say a word and followed Steve without a word of resistance.
Several people secretly recorded and photographed the incident. If Bryce prolonged this issue, the Johansen Group’s reputation would be at risk. All because of Kelly’s actions.
Rossie laughed coldly to herself before turning her icy gaze away. This was Bryce’s true nature—heartless, caring only about the Johansen family’s reputation and pride.
Soon after, an ambulance arrived. The housekeeping staff member was immediately taken away. Rossie ordered Darren to follow the ambulance and handle everything at the hospital.
At that moment, the gathered guests left the lobby one by one, leaving only the on-duty staff, Rossie, and Bryce behind. Rossie exhaled deeply and prepared to return to her office.
But her steps halted when she heard someone calling her name.
“Rossie!”
Rossie snorted, turned around, and met Bryce’s unfriendly expression. Bryce pulled her hand closer until Rossie’s slender body pressed against his muscular chest. There was no denying that Rossie’s heart was racing at that moment.
“Watch your manners, Bryce! This is a public place!” Rossie exclaimed, struggling to free her wrist as she gasped for breath. She tried to pull her wrist free, but failed.
“Where have you been these past few days? Did you do it on purpose to get my attention?” Bryce asked coldly.
“Huh? Your attention? Have you lost your mind? Where I go is none of your business!” Rossie retorted just as sharply.
But Bryce didn’t care; he pulled Rossie’s hand even tighter and dragged her along.
“Let me go. Bryce, leave this place right now, or I’ll call security to escort you out!” Rossie shouted.
Bryce flinched, and he looked so disappointed by Rossie’s words. Back then, Rossie had always tried to keep Bryce close to her, but now she was the one pushing him away.
“Don’t come near me unless it’s to handle our divorce!” Rossie shouted, which startled him even more.
Bryce stared at Rossie. Now, the look in Rossie’s eyes—which used to be filled with love for him—had turned cold and full of contempt.
“You still have to come with me!” Bryce shouted.
Rossie laughed mockingly, “Huh, who do you think you are to boss me around like this?”
“Rossie… you…” Bryce looked so angry that he was at a loss for words.
“Get out!” Rossie grew angrier. Right now, her heart ached just as much as her wrist.
They had been married for three full years, but Bryce had always ignored her. Now that they were divorced, Bryce never stopped harassing her. How ironic.
Bryce was startled by Rossie’s shout. His handsome face immediately turned cold.
“How dare you tell me to leave? You’re the one who wanted to marry me from the start! Why didn’t you show this side of yourself to me when I was still your wife?”
“Because back then I loved you, and now I realize that my previous decision was a foolish one!”
“When I still loved you, I could tolerate all the way you treated me, but now we’re divorced and you’re the one who asked for it. Do you think I should still put up with all your behavior? You need to realize that I don’t love you anymore and you’re nobody to me!” Rossie exclaimed, lifting her chin and roughly shoving his hand away, regardless of how much it hurt.
Rossie walked away, and Bryce was stunned. He realized that Rossie had come to regret loving him.
“If it weren’t for Grandma, I wouldn’t have come looking for you! She was so worried because she hadn’t heard from you!” Bryce suddenly shouted, causing Rossie to stop in her tracks.
“You claim to care about Grandma, but look at what you’re doing! Do you think you can toy with her feelings?” Bryce added.
Rossie’s breath caught in her throat at that moment. She clenched her fists. Grandma was the only one she cared about in the Johansen family right now. It seemed Bryce was using this to pressure Rossie.
“Tell Grandma that I’ll see her the day after tomorrow!”
“No, you have to do it now!” Bryce shouted.
Rossie just furrowed her brows.
“It’s been almost a week; Grandma hasn’t been able to eat or sleep properly, and it’s all because she’s been thinking about you. Do you want to kill her?” Bryce shouted threateningly.
Rossie fell silent.
This time, Bryce lowered his voice. “I know you’re upset with me, but it’s not fair if you have to disappoint Grandma.”
Rossie let out a long sigh. She had no choice but to obey Bryce and visit Grandma right away.
