Chapter 64 It's Time To Responsible

Chapter 64 It's Time To Responsible
Bryce felt he had treated Rossie quite well, even though he had never loved her. While Rossie was still living in his house, she enjoyed a life of luxury and was served by the Johansen family's servants.

Bryce wasn't stingy either; he gave Rossie a credit card with no limit, but she never used it. Even so, Rossie's life at the Johansen family home was much better than it had been in the village and in an orphanage.

So why did Rossie say that, and why did she make Bryce feel as if he had done something to make her suffer during their marriage? Thinking about this really made Bryce sick.

“Huh! Well, if you are the manager of this hotel, then you have to take responsibility for this incident!” Kelly exclaimed, standing with her hands on her hips and looking very haughty.

“I have two choices for you. First, compensate me for my lost necklace worth $200,000. Or you call the police and find the thief and apologize to me publicly!” Kelly continued, glancing at Rossie contemptuously.

Kelly's hatred for Rossie was so deep, and yesterday's incident at the auction house made her even more upset. This time was a very good opportunity to humiliate Rossie.

“Boss, Miss Kelly is intimidating Miss Rossie,” whispered Steven, who couldn't help but notice Kelly's annoying behavior.

Bryce just furrowed his eyebrows slightly. He was very curious about what his ex-wife was doing.

“Miss Johansen, I chose the second option.” Once the police arrive at the hotel, every employee here will cooperate with them in the investigation, including me. The police will definitely find the thief!“ Rossie replied calmly, which drew the attention of the people gathered in the lobby, who were gossiping about them.

”She's right! That woman should have called the police immediately! Why is she making a scene here?“

”She must have forgotten where she put her necklace. That's why she's making a fuss for no reason."

Kelly's face turned red with embarrassment and anger. “What's the point of asking the police to investigate the hotel? The thief must have hidden my necklace somewhere else!”

“I'm not a thief! I didn't steal your necklace!” The housekeeping staff's eyes were teary, and her thin body was trembling.

“Our hotel is equipped with surveillance cameras that provide high-quality live broadcasts in all public areas. In addition, I have ordered all employees to stay at the hotel since I received this news. If one of them stole your necklace, it is still in this hotel. The culprit did not have time to hide the necklace somewhere else. Moreover, security guards always check employees' belongings when they leave work.”

Rossie took out his cell phone and waved it casually. “I have also contacted the police and they will arrive in a few minutes. If we have indeed caused you harm, then we will not hesitate to punish the thief, apologize to you publicly, and pay compensation according to your wishes.”

Hearing this, Steven couldn't help but praise him. Meanwhile, Bryce remained cold, but he had to admit that Rossie was calm and smart in handling this matter.

“I hope you keep your promise!” Kelly said angrily.

“Of course. This is my responsibility!” Rossie smiled slightly at Kelly.

Suddenly, Darren and a security guard hurried towards them, carrying a plastic bag.

“We found a gemstone necklace. Does this belong to Miss Johansen?” Darren asked, showing her the plastic bag. At that moment, he and the security guard were still wearing rubber gloves.

Everyone was surprised, including Kelly and her friends.

Darren immediately showed Kelly the necklace with a cold expression.

However, as soon as she received the necklace, Kelly screamed. “Ah! My necklace! What happened? Why is it damaged like this?”

Several of Kelly's sapphires were broken and no longer in their original shape.

“We rechecked every corner of the penthouse and found this necklace near the storage rack in the pantry. When we found it, it was already in that condition, and we don't know what happened before,” said Darren.

“See? I told you she was just making a fuss for no reason! She doesn't remember where she put that damn thing! That's why she's just blaming the hotel!”

The people there continued to mock Kelly until her face turned red. Kelly became even more upset and pointed at the housekeeping staff member. “You... you must have damaged it. You did it on purpose so you could sell the sapphires one by one!”

“No! I didn't do anything like that!” The housekeeping staff member continued to deny it and tried to defend himself.

“That's strange. Why would the housekeeping staff bother to damage the necklace if they wanted to sell it? Wouldn't they get more money if the necklace was intact?” whispered a guest who was watching the incident.

“That's right. Besides, if they took it, why would they leave it in such a conspicuous place? Wouldn't it be found by other staff or the next guest staying there?”

Rossie smiled slightly. “Maybe someone deliberately damaged your necklace to vent their anger at you. It seems like someone is jealous of you!”

Kelly looked confused at Rossie's theory. Her friends were also surprised.

“Miss Johansen, we have found your necklace. So, my employee's name has been cleared. If you want to continue investigating this incident, I don't mind cooperating,” Rossie said firmly, then turned to the women behind Kelly.

“As you can see, my security guard and secretary were wearing rubber gloves when they found this necklace, and the police will be here shortly. You can ask them to do a fingerprint check and find out who the real culprit is.”

“He's right! The police can check the necklace for fingerprints!” People supported Rossie's idea.

Meanwhile, Kelly's friends looked pale. They pulled Kelly's arms, saying, “Come on, Kelly. We'd better just leave. Prolonging this issue will only embarrass a classy girl like you!”

Kelly refused to listen to the taunts of the people. She hurriedly put the broken necklace into her Hermès bag. Then, she turned to leave, snorting in annoyance.

“Wait, Miss Johansen!” Rossie suddenly stopped her.

“What else do you want to talk about? My necklace has been found and I don't want to claim compensation.” Kelly looked annoyed.

“Your necklace has been found, and there is no evidence to suggest that our employee stole it. But you humiliated him in front of everyone. Don't you think you should take responsibility?”
