Chapter 53 Rossie's Responsibility
Hearing Rossie's confession, Daisy did not remain silent. She knew she had to take advantage of the situation.
"Bryce, look! What kind of woman did you marry? She cut Lily's artery. She tried to kill her!"
Daisy was hysterical and demanded justice from Bryce.
"Rossie, why are you like this? When you were part of the Johansen family, you weren't this cruel. What made you like this?" asked Miranda, staring intently at Rossie.
"So this is your true nature. You're full of lies, Rossie! It's a good thing Bryce divorced you, otherwise you might have endangered the Johansen family!" Miranda sneered.
Her sister-in-law, Kelly, said nothing, only staring at her sharply and hatefully.
Bryce looked at her coldly and said sharply, "Apologize to Lily! If she forgives you, then I consider this matter closed!"
Lily smiled triumphantly behind her tears of pain, thinking to herself, 'See? No matter what I say, Bryce will still love me. You're just a stupid woman who is willing to be a free servant to his family, while I only have to cry to get all the attention. "
Rossie nodded and then stepped closer to Lily." You want to know how I hurt him, right?"

I'm sorry I didn't slap you when you tried to take the bracelet my grandmother gave me. I shouldn't have waited until you ruined it! "exclaimed Rossie, which ultimately caused the people there to start badmouthing Lily and assume that Rossie's actions were due to her pent-up resentment.
" Rossie, don't go too far!" Bryce shouted angrily.
Lily and Daisy smiled quietly at Bryce's reaction.
'Now you feel it, Rossie! thought Daisy, glancing at her with a mocking look.
"Rossie, you've really crossed the line! I never thought I'd be your mother-in-law!" exclaimed Miranda, then turning to Bryce, "Bryce, you need to get a divorce from this gold digger! She will only harm our family. Eventually, she will drag our family into misery!" Miranda shouted again.
Bryce pursed his lips, and his gaze wavered. He did not love Rossie; he only considered Rossie his wife on paper, but Miranda's words telling him to divorce Rossie hurt him.
Rossie smiled thinly and turned to Bryce, "Listen to what your mother said! Get a divorce from me immediately, then I will have nothing to do with the Johansen family anymore!"
"Rossie, you..." Bryce didn't continue his words and sighed deeply.
"Don't change the subject! You have to take responsibility for what you've done! Quickly apologize to Lily and slap yourself a hundred times to show your sincerity!" Bryce shouted.
Alex sighed in despair, resisting the urge to punch Bryce in the mouth and knock out all his teeth. If Rossie hadn't shaken her head at him, he would have done so already.
Suddenly, they were startled by a girl's scream. "She didn't do it! It wasn't Rossie who did it!"
At that moment, everyone turned toward the voice, including Rossie.
"Catherine!" Rossie gasped in surprise when she saw her.
A girl in a simple light blue dress with balloon sleeves, curly hair, and blood-red lipstick appeared. She was still shouting the same thing in front of everyone.
The beautiful girl had autism, so Kelly often embarrassed her by creating ridiculous outfits like this one. Kelly knew Catherine was prettier than she was, and she didn't want the autistic girl to steal the spotlight!
Apart from her grandmother and the servants, Catherine was Rossie's only friend while she was staying with the Johansen family. Catherine, who rarely spoke, was willing to talk to Rossie and share her happiness with her.
After leaving Bryce's house, Rossie was actually worried about Catherine. But seeing the girl talking to her now, Rossie felt relieved.
"Stupid! What are you talking about this time?" Kelly glared at her sister.
"Not Rossie! Rossie didn't do it!" Catherine shouted again.
"Catherine, this is none of your business. Go play somewhere else!" Miranda pushed her away.
Catherine almost fell, and Rossie helped support her. Catherine then looked at Bryce, who was nearby, and said the same thing. "Bryce, Rossie didn't do it!"
Bryce looked at her gently and asked, "Why do you say that?" "I saw it! I was in the bathroom at the time. Lily did it herself!"
Everyone was shocked by the confession. Lily's face turned pale. Even Rossie was surprised. She never expected Catherine to be there when the two of them were fighting.
Kelly immediately spoke up and pointed at Catherine. "Don't listen to this kid! She's autistic, she doesn't make any sense!"
But Bryce still looked at Catherine and gently touched her shoulder, "Tell us what you know, Cathy?"
"I saw Lily go into the bathroom to fight with Rossie. When Rossie was about to leave, Lily grabbed her hand and snatched Rossie's bracelet and broke it. Then Lily scratched her arm with the broken pieces of the bracelet. I saw it through the crack in the door! "said Catherine, demonstrating how Lily scratched her arm.
" Catherine..." Rossie said, her eyes welling up with tears.
Knowing Celine's character, Rossie knew that Catherine was forcing herself to tell the truth to clear her name. "Bryce! Don't be crazy! This girl is insane, why are you listening to her? Look at Lily's condition!"
Kelly shouted again. At this point, everyone was urging Bryce not to believe Catherine and continued to corner Rossie.
"Yes, Bryce, don't listen to her! If Catherine was really there, she must have seen it wrong!" Daisy exclaimed.
"Catherine has been close to Rossie all this time. Rossie must have persuaded Catherine to defend her!" shouted Miranda, causing the guests who were watching to corner Rossie as well.
Rossie just smiled and said, "Hmm, okay... okay, don't talk anymore. You want me to take responsibility, right? Just call the police and take me there! I have the evidence too!"
Rossie then took something out of her handbag. A plastic clip from the restroom, and inside it was a piece of a bracelet with bloodstains. Everyone was stunned, especially Lily. If Rossie was serious about taking this matter to the police station, wouldn't her fingerprints be found on the bracelet piece?
