Chapter 45 They're Not Bankrupt Yet

Chapter 45 They're Not Bankrupt Yet
Already 250 of the 300 JHome outlets have closed in a week, and the rest are just waiting to go bankrupt. Even then, they have to use flash-sale strategies to raise money to cover production costs.

Daisy again begged her sister, Miranda, to help them, but unfortunately, Miranda couldn't, as the decision was in Lucia's hands.

"I'm sorry, Daisy, it's not that I don't want to help you. You know my position here is only as a daughter-in-law of the Johansen family, and that old woman Lucia makes all the decisions even though she's not the one running the company." Miranda snorted in annoyance.

After that, the curly-haired woman turned to her sister and asked again, "I heard that damn Rossie is in a relationship with the president of the Nexus Group after leaving this house. Huh! After leaving here, she went after a man from a richer family. What a cheap woman!"

Daisy nodded, "I heard that too."

Miranda sighed deeply, "Could it be that the president of the Nexus Group fell for her charms and is now targeting the Jones Group?"

Daisy, who had long hated Rossie, was further provoked by her sister's words. She clenched her fists and her eyes widened. "That bitch deliberately took out her jealousy on Lily because Bryce loved her more. She doesn't realize that she is the one who separated Bryce and Lily with her dirty tricks. Now that she has found a new, richer man, she wants to destroy us. How cunning! "

"  It's not easy to deal with this. Mr. Dominic seems to love her so much, "replied Miranda.

" Yes, the Cavendish family is very influential. One sentence from him can bankrupt other companies."

"All this time, Rossie pretended to be obedient and loyal to Bryce and managed to win Lucia's heart, but secretly she was having an affair with Mr. Dominic Cavendish."

Meanwhile, at the Nexus Residence General Manager's office.

Rossie looked busy with the documents in front of her, and Darren had just entered. "What do you want, Darren?"

"Ma'am, I have two interesting pieces of news to report."

Darren immediately placed the documents on the table, right next to the papers Rossie was studying. Rossie couldn't help but glance at them and then hissed.

"This is a list of items registered with our pawn shop that will be auctioned off soon. Why are you giving this to me?"

Darren tapped his finger on it and said, "Look again at the items here and who their owners are. Daisy Jones sold Lily's jewelry to our pawn shop!"

Rossie immediately took the file and looked it over again, then smiled and nodded.

"Ma'am, as per your instructions, I have been monitoring the Jones family and found this," Darren continued.

Rossie chuckled. "Just as I thought, without Bryce's help, the Jones family can't do anything but sell their possessions. I thought they would sell their property, but it turns out to be Lily's jewelry. Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, it seems that the girl is just being exploited by her family. How pitiful! "

" Hmm, at the moment, it seems that they are not completely bankrupt, so they can still keep their house and other things. Hmm, but soon they will lose everything one by one. Hmm, this is more enjoyable. "

Darren snorted coldly." This is karma for them!"

Rossie said nothing more. He casually flipped through the pawnshop records.

Almost no one knew that the Cavendish family owned two large pawnshops in the country. Because Mr. Cavendish liked collecting antiques and rare treasures, he secretly opened these pawnshops to obtain unexpected, valuable items that people sought but couldn't find.

He had amassed a fortune through pawnshops in recent years. Suddenly, something caught his eye: a blood-red heart-shaped pendant was on the list.

That was when Rossie remembered what had happened when she was still with Bryce. The necklace was a symbol of love that Bryce had given Rossie. Bryce had to visit the designer and beg him to get the necklace. Because of Bryce's persistence, the designer agreed to sell it.

When she saw this necklace in Bryce's hands, Rossie hoped it would be hers, but Bryce's cold attitude and his rush to put it away when he first saw it explained everything.

The necklace never belonged to her, any more than Bryce's love did. In Bryce's heart, there was only Lily and always only her.

And ironically, now Lily had sold the token of Bryce's love that he had fought so hard for. The more Rossie looked at it, the more ridiculous she felt, but her teary eyes glistened with bitterness.

"I really want to see Bryce's reaction when he finds out about this," Rossie muttered.

"Did you say something, Miss?" Darren didn't hear her whisper.

"The Jones family doesn't know its true value. This necklace is worth almost fifty million. They sold it for twenty million, we really made a profit." Rossie smiled cynically, reluctant to tell the truth.
At that moment, her phone rang. It was Dominic.

"Dominic, what's up?" Rossie answered calmly.

"Rossie, how have you been lately? Are you tired? Do you need my help?" Dominic asked, his voice full of concern.

"I'm fine. You, on the other hand, don't push yourself too hard. Take care of your health," Rossie replied.

After chatting for a while, Dominic said, "There's a charity auction this weekend. Can you represent me and attend? Dad really wants to get an antique clock with dragon carvings. The maximum budget is one billion. I can't go there because I have something I have to do. Can you come on my behalf?"

"You want me to represent you? Hmm, as Miss Cavendish or Miss Winter? "asked Rossie with a chuckle.

"  It's up to you. You can be anyone. Winter is also part of Cavendish. "
Rossie nodded." Okay, I'll go. But with a budget of only one billion, what if I also find something I like?"
"Just go to the auction, and I'll reimburse you. However, remember the Cavendish family rule. Once we participate in an auction, we must win. We cannot give others a chance," Dominuc reminded her.
"I know. Father taught us to go our own way and not give others a chance!" Rossie said, snapping her fingers.

"Good luck, Rossie. Don't forget the antique clock with the dragon carving," Dominic said before hanging up.

"Auction? But isn't it too rushed to prepare everything now?"

"We'll bring something, and I've already prepared everything." Rossie's lips curved into a sly smile, and there was a cunning gleam in her eyes.
