A Playful Morning

A Playful Morning
When we woke up the next morning, I found myself less exhausted than the day before. Mason had kept his hands to himself after making love to me after our bath the night before. Instead, he had held me close to his body for the entire night and I absolutely loved the way his very presence made me feel at peace. I had really missed out on everything that was Mason while I was away from him. I snuggled into his side just as his alarm started going off. I giggled when he grumbled in his sleep and didn’t make a move to get up, but pulled me closer to his body. I pressed a kiss to his chest before trailing even more up to his mouth.

“You should listen to your alarm,” I murmured against his lips.

“I don’t want to! I have the most beautiful woman in my arms. I would have to be stupid to just let you go to get out of the warmth of the bed,” he mumbled, making me laugh again.

“Yes, but we’re getting our wedding set up today, remember?” I reminded him, giggling again when his eyes immediately snapped open.

“We are, aren’t we?” He reached down to spank my ass before squeezing it. “So why are you still in bed?”

I burst out into hysterical laughter as he got up to hurry across the room to start going through his dresser, looking for something to wear. He paused to look at me when I groaned.
“I don’t have any clothes! And I am so not wearing that bunny costume out into the real world!”

He burst out laughing as he nodded his head toward the door. “Lauren keeps clothes in the guest room. Help yourself. We’ll get your things from the other house at some point this week. Before we go shopping for our wedding attire, I have to make a few calls. It’ll maybe take me half an hour or so,” he told me.

“That’s okay, Mason. Take your time. I’ll make you some breakfast.”

“Oh, yes, please! I would love that! I’ve missed your cooking,” he said, leaving me stunned as he returned his attention to finding clothes to wear.

I got up and made my way over to where he was. When I wrapped my arms around his waist and leaned against his back, he immediately linked our fingers together.

“Are you okay, Laurel?” he asked softly.

“Yeah. I just didn’t realize how much it meant to me to have a partner that enjoyed the simple things that I did for him. I know when we first met, I begged you to make me forget, but you didn’t do that. Instead you showed me what it meant to be loved,” I whispered.

He brought my hand to his mouth, and pressed a long deep kiss on it. “I’m glad I did, Little Bunny, because you deserve that and so much more.”

I sighed happily. “One of these days, I’m going to give you a baby.”

“Oh, God! A baby? Of my own? Shall I tell you what else I’ve missed? I missed the way your eyes light up when something surprises you in a good way. I missed the way you moved closer to me when something scared you a little. I missed the way you smiled when we danced in the living room to ‘The Sound of Music’. I missed you sitting on my lap and feeding me ice cream from your bowl. And the thing I missed most was being able to hold you in my arms whenever I wanted,” he told me.

I sighed dreamily as I kissed his back. “I love you, Mason.”

“I love you too, Laurel.”

I let him go so I could go start breakfast. If he was going to be calling people, I had time to cook him some breakfast and get ready. It would also give me time to text my bridal party about coming out for the wedding. I knew that Lauren wouldn’t hesitate. We had agreed to set it for 8 PM, so that everyone could make it and we had time to get ready. Mason knew that if anyone from my bridal party couldn’t come, then there was no way I was having an actual ceremony. Every single one of the women I wanted in my party meant a great deal to me, and it wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t there next to me on my big deal.

After texting my bridal party for the second time since they didn’t respond the night before, I started pulling the ingredients out that I needed to make loaded french toast. I remembered from our time together before that he liked fresh fruit and powdered sugar on the top of his, and I was more than happy to do that for him. 45 minutes later, I had two plates loaded with amazing looking french toast dripping with heated maple syrup. Just the smell of it had my stomach grumbling. I grabbed a fork, a knife, and both plates before heading down the hallway that led to his home office. As soon as I walked in, his lips curled up in a smile as he pushed his chair back a little for me to sit on his lap. I was kind of impressed that he didn’t miss a beat of the conversation he was having.

I sat down on his lap, and began to cut into his food so I could feed him while he finished his calls, while I listened to what he was saying. I was a little surprised to hear him talking to who I assumed was a pastor about presiding over our wedding. Afterall it was only 7 AM on a Sunday, and most normal people would still be asleep at this time of the morning. Except maybe a pastor who held church at dawn. I supposed it wasn’t that unreasonable that one would be awake. When he hung up, Mason smiled at me.

“We have a pastor! Have you contacted your bridal party yet?” he asked.

I nodded. “Ramira and Maddie have already responded. They are both excited for us and promise to be there. Lauren is probably either still out with a date or sleeping. I’m sure we’ll hear from her later. Both of your sisters told us last night that they would be happy to be in my bridal party. And yes, Joey has accepted your request for him to be a part of the groomsmen. Did you ask Lauren about Ty being your best man?”
He nodded. “Yep. I’m just waiting for a response. Before we continue our conversation, can I just say that breakfast is fantastic?”

I giggled as I stuffed another bite into his mouth. “I’m pretty sure at this point, you’re looking for multiple children.”

His eyes lit up. “Are you willing to give me multiple children? Because if you are, I am so down for it! Even your boiled water is delicious!”

I shook my head as I pecked his lips. “You are so funny, Mason. And yeah, I would love to have more kids with you. Anyway, back to what we were talking about, what’s the agenda for today?”

He chewed the bite of french toast slowly before grinning at me. “Well, the first thing we’re doing is going to look at decorations. Since we don’t have time to order high quality ones, we’re going to have to go with whatever stores have in stock. It might not be what we want, but it will do. Angel told me about a store that restaurants get their supplies from. I was thinking maybe we could check it out. They might have seat covers and other things there that we could use. If they don’t, we can look around at other stores. Then at noon, we have appointments to try on dresses and such. Did you get your bridal party’s sizes?”

“Yes. I even got Joey’s sizes so we could get him a tuxedo,” I announced proudly.

He immediately lowered his head to kiss me softly. “Good girl. How about you go get dressed and ready for the day, while I clean up the kitchen? We can head out after that. The first store opens at 8 o’clock. If we are there when it opens, maybe we’ll be the only ones there and we can be the focus.”

I nodded as I hopped up. “Okay, I’ll be ready in two shakes of a la–”

He groaned. “Don’t talk about shaking anything, Little Bunny, if you want to successfully plan a wedding today.”

I gave him a coy look over my shoulder. “If you’re a good boy and we finish planning it all today, I’ll give you a blow job on the way home.”

He groaned again before requesting, “Say it again, baby.”

“On the way home.”

He sighed happily. “I’ve really missed you saying that word too. Home. Where you and I are together.”

I nodded as I walked back over to kiss him. “Yes, together. Just like I want to be.”
