Chapter 90
Hellcat wrapped the wound with a strip of clean cloth and sat back, watching anxiously as the bleeding gradually subsided.
Hours passed, and the first rays of dawn began to peek through the small window.
Exhausted but hopeful, Hellcat dozed lightly in a chair beside him, her head resting on the edge of the cot.
A faint groan startled her awake.
She blinked, sitting up quickly as she saw Alessandro’s eyes flutter open.
For a moment, he seemed disoriented, his gaze darting around the room before landing on her.
“Mom?” he murmured, his voice hoarse.
“What… what are you doing here?”
Relief flooded her, and she smiled softly.
“You’re awake,” she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
He tried to sit up but winced in pain, his hand instinctively going to his stomach.
“How did you find me?”
Hellcat hesitated, her cheeks flushing slightly.
“I… I saw you in the bushes,” she admitted, her eyes briefly glancing away. “You were fighting the guards, and then you fell. I couldn’t just leave you there.”
Alessandro stared at her, his expression a mix of gratitude and surprise.
“You carried me all the way here?”
She nodded, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
“I did what I had to. You were hurt, Alessandro. I couldn’t let anything happen to you.”
He leaned back against the cot, his gaze softening.
“Thank you, mom,” he said quietly, his voice filled with sincerity.
Hellcat shook her head, a faint smile playing on her lips.
“You don’t have to thank me” she replied gently.
“Just focus on getting better. That’s all that matters now.”
Hellcat hesitated, her eyes studying Alessandro’s face, before softly asking,
“What happened, Alessandro? Why were you out there, fighting those guards?”
Alessandro exhaled deeply, his face clouded with exhaustion and pain.
“It’s a long story,” he began, his voice low but steady.
“Everything fell apart after… after Steph was taken. They turned against me, branded me a traitor, and I had no choice but to fight my way out. I thought… maybe I could find a way to get back to her.”
Hellcat listened intently, her expression a mix of empathy and concern.
Before she could respond, a faint cry pierced the silence.
It was soft at first but grew louder, unmistakable.
Alessandro’s head snapped toward the sound, his brow furrowing.
“Is that… a baby?” he asked, his voice laced with both confusion and a flicker of hope.
Hellcat nodded slowly, her hands clasping tightly together.
“Yes,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alessandro’s breath hitched as realization dawned on him.
“Is it… my baby?”
Hellcat nodded again, her gaze steady.
“Yes. He’s yours and Stephanie’s.”
He swallowed hard, emotion threatening to overwhelm him.
“Bring him to me,” he said, his voice trembling.
“Please, Mom. I need to see him.”
She hesitated for only a moment before stepping into the adjacent room.
Moments later, she returned with the baby bundled in soft fabric.
His tiny cries softened as she approached Alessandro, gently placing the baby into his waiting arms.
Alessandro’s hands trembled as he held the baby boy, staring down at the small, delicate face.
A lump formed in his throat as he noticed the striking resemblance to Stephanie—her nose, her eyes, her soft features mirrored in their child.
Hellcat sat beside him, her voice gentle.
“He’s a fighter, just like you. He survived so much. He was kept in an incubator for two months. I thought… I thought he wouldn’t make it. But he did. He’s strong, Alessandro.”
Tears welled in Alessandro’s eyes as he brushed a finger against the baby’s tiny hand.
The baby stirred, letting out a soft coo, and Alessandro leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to his son’s head.
“He’s perfect,” Alessandro whispered, his voice breaking.
“I just… I wish Stephanie was here to see him, to see how healthy and strong he is.”
The room fell silent, the weight of his words hanging in the air as Alessandro cradled the baby close, his heart both full of love and aching with loss.
"Don't worry, I believe Steph will return back to you"Hellcat reassured him

★11PM✓✓GERMAN EMPIRE★
The moon hung high in the midnight sky, its pale light filtering through the small, barred window of Monica's cell.
She sat on the cold, hard floor, her arms wrapped around her knees, as the stillness of the night enveloped her.
The muffled snores and soft murmurs of other captives filled the air, but Monica was wide awake.
Yeah! She shares a cell with other people but she's the only one bound to a pole.
Due to how powerful she was.
Sleep had long evaded her.
Her mind was a battlefield, filled with memories, fears, and unanswered questions.
She stared at the faint shadows dancing on the wall and whispered to herself, her voice a mixture of despair and longing.
"Is this how it ends for me? Is this how I’ll never see my twins again? I have never watch them grow, will I never tell them how much I love them?"
Her voice cracked, and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Is this how I’ll never find the monster who stole my innocence, who destroyed a part of me when I was just a girl? The man who raped me!"
The silence that followed her words was deafening, the weight of her thoughts pressing heavily on her chest.
She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms.
"Is this really how my story ends? Alone, caged, and forgotten?"
Her body trembled, not from the cold but from the sheer frustration and hopelessness that had been her constant companions for years.
But then, just as she was about to sink deeper into her despair, a strange warmth spread through her chest.
It started as a faint spark, then grew into a comforting blaze.
Suddenly, she felt it—a presence stirring within her.
Her wolf, the part of her she had suppressed for so long, began to awaken.
Monica gasped as a rush of energy coursed through her veins, and she felt a connection she hadn’t felt in years.
The voice of her wolf, calm and resolute, echoed in her mind.
"Monica, enough of this despair. You are not alone in this. I am here with you, and I bring news."
Monica's breath hitched as she sat up straighter, her heart pounding.
"What is it?" she asked aloud, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and hope.
"Steph is here," the wolf said firmly.
"She's already in this vicinity, searching for you. The end of your suffering is near. The one who has haunted your dreams, the one who took everything from you, will soon face justice. Have faith, Monica. You are stronger than you know, and your time is coming."
Monica's lips quivered, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, a smile broke across her face.
It wasn’t a smile born of joy, but one of relief and hope.
She wiped away her tears and whispered,
"So it’s true. My mind can finally rest. Steph will find me, and I will see my twins again. This isn’t the end after all."
The wolf's presence lingered, a soothing balm to her wounded soul.
She leaned her back against the wall, her body relaxing as the tension ebbed away.
With her mind eased and her spirit rekindled, her eyelids grew heavy.
As the clock struck midnight, Monica closed her eyes and drifted into a peaceful sleep, her wolf standing guard within her, and her heart clinging to the hope that tomorrow would bring her closer to freedom and redemption.
