Chapter 62: Vance's arrangement

After Vance made the housekeeper leave, he tucked the girl in and sat by her bedside. Even though she was tired and sleepy, her face was still as exquisite as ever. She looked like a porcelain doll. Very delicate and fragile at the same time. He wondered how that guy had the nerve to break her heart. The girl had very many merits. Why was he so blind? Even so, he was glad that they broke up. At least he would get a chance if he tried, right? As he thought about this, his hands reached out and gently removed the strands of hair that were covering her forehead. The girl was the prettiest he'd ever come across. That wasn't what drew him to her, though. It was the mysterious aura that drew him to her. Her wanted to know what lay beneath that cold and indifferent mask that she always wore. Since he had taken a liking to her, he decided that he was going to pursue her until he made her his. There's no way he was going to allow another man around her at all.

The following morning, Viola woke up earlier than him. After taking a shower, her phone suddenly dinged with a notification. She went forward to take a look. When she opened and read the contents, she couldn't help but furrow her brows, deep in thought. She didn't know why her heart suddenly felt uncomfortable after she read the report that had just been sent to her.
Later, when they were having breakfast, Viola looked at Vance. Even though he had slept well the day before, he still had eyebags. The fatigue on his face was evident. The naked eye couldn't tell, but Viola was a doctor. She could tell just by glancing at him.
Vance noticed that she was looking at him, but he didn't really mind. He focused on having his breakfast. She had no malicious intentions anyway.

"Later in the evening, you can go over to your place and pack up some clothes. You will stay here for the time being." After pondering for a while, Viola spoke.
Vance couldn't help but look at her in the face. She didn't look like she was joking. But what made her change her mind? He was racking his brains on how he would send her the report.
"Okay. " Vance said. He couldn't ask anything at that moment. What if she changed her mind? It's not like Vance didn't know how bad her temper was.
After breakfast, he went to work. That's when he received a message;
"You should thank me." It was from his therapist.
Instantly, Vance understood everything. His therapist had helped him. He needed to appreciate his efforts. A smile flashed in his eyes as he looked forward to staying at her place.

In the evening, after Viola came from the company, she directly headed for the hospital to see her parents. She had racked her brains on how she would deal with the situation after allowing Vance to live with her. When she went over, her parent's words made her a bit amazed.
"Baby, you have to thank Mr. Vance for us." Her father started weakly.
"Why?" Viola couldn't quite understand.
"In order to let your father recuperate well without distractions, he's offered to send us to one of his islands. He doesn't want your father to be too stressed about anything happening here in the capital." Her mother said. She was incredibly touched. What she still didn't understand was why Vance was doing all that.
"He did?" Viola asked as she widened her eyes. What was that guy up to? For some strange reason, an uneasy feeling arose in the pits of her stomach.
