Chapter 59: Insomnia

Chapter 59: Insomnia

Vance's expression went back to normal. However, his hand was holding tightly onto Viola's. No matter how hard Viola tried to ory her hands off him, she couldn't. This made her speechless. Even in his sleep, he was still very strong? In the end, Viola decided to let it be. She wouldn't feel good if she woke him up. He seemed to be having some good sleep. Earlier at the hospital, Viola had been able to deduce that the guy suffered from insomnia. His eye bags were overly obvious to her as a doctor. Perhaps the others couldn't see them, but she could. So, she let him hold her hand. Since that's what he wanted, why not let him have it? That evening, Viola unknowingly accompanied Vance as he slept. It wasn't as uncomfortable as she initially thought it would be.

When Vance woke up, he sensed that something was wrong. Then, he remembered everything that had happened. He had come back with Viola and then slept on her bed. Slept. How long had it been since he had such peaceful sleep? He honestly couldn't remember. He decided that he would ask his therapist later. Then, he glanced at her boneless hand. The hand was so small and pale. Her fingers were well taken care of. There was not a single scar on her hands. Vance figured that maybe it was because she was a doctor. Hands were very important assets to doctors.
Then, his gaze traveled to her face. She had a very small face. Her face was so exquisite, the think lashes, raised brows, and smooth forehead made her appear so ethereal. Her lips, pink and luscious, were pouted as she slept. With her porcelain like skin, she looked like she was basically glowing. If Vance didn't know any better, he wouldn't believe it if someone told her that she had been married once. She looked overly petite and small. Vance was sure he could carry her with one hand. Was her family not feeding her enough?

"You're awake?" Viola groggily asked. She was a light sleeper, so she woke up not long after he did.
"Mm." Vance nodded. He had a lot to express but held himself back. He still had time.
"Go and freshen up. I'll tell them to prepare dinner. Your things are over there." The things that were on the dressing table earlier were now neatly placed in the closet. Vance liked the view. Without a doubt, he knew it was his assistant who brought the things over.
"Okay." After saying this, Vance also stood up. He felt sticky a bit, so he needed a shower to refresh him.
Viola also left the room and headed downstairs. After giving them a few instructions, she also went upstairs to freshen up. She felt worn out from all the work she had done during the day.
After Vance got out of the bathroom, the first thing he did was to call his therapist. The therapist was overseas. When he saw who was calling him, he almost thought he was dreaming. That guy actually took the initiative to call him?
"Hello?" The therapist said on the other end.
"I slept for eight hours straight." Vance stated.
"Huh? At your place?" The therapist was secretly shocked. Vance couldn't even last thirty minutes while sleeping.
"No." Vance answered and opened his body lotion.
"Then?" The therapist was surprised once again.
"At a girl's place." Vance answered.
Crash!
The phone in the therapist's hand fell down. He was shocked. No, horrified was the word. Vance, at a girl's place?!
