Chapter 163 Ruining Dreams
Chapter 163 Ruining Dreams
Humming to myself, my legs were on the table before me as I was staring at the beads which were shining when light fell on them, causing me to grin.
“Do you know what the most expensive beads are, Hashir?”
“What?” He smiled, noticing the felicity on my features.
“The ones adorned on this clutch bag,”
“They are ordinary beads, Boss,”
I chuckled, moving my fingers over them carefully so they won’t accidentally pluck a single bead out.
Because if it happened, I would glue it back myself.
“You don’t see it from my perspective,”
It was not only a bag but my chance, my sign from above, my blessing. Exhaling, I placed it over my heart and laughing a little at my demeanor, he took a seat.
“They are Aalifa’s right?”
I shot my head in his direction, “How did you guess?”
“Wasn’t it obvious?” He smirked.
“Oh, right,”
Right, it was obvious, the only thing that could bring a sincere smile to my lips was her. From a memory to a manner, all of it related to her sounded beautiful.
“Why don’t you open it?”
Hashir suggested while I was twirling it around my fingers happily. I have never been this delighted to find a lost object before.
“Wouldn’t it be invading her privacy?”
“How are you supposed to know where she lives to return it, hmm?”
“Good point,”
I guess I had lost my mind for the idea of seeing her again and forgot about the basic point. Chuckling at my demeanor, I nodded and found a card.
“Oh, it is her teacher ID, she is a dance teacher,”
Smiling, I found the chance to see her again and it was enough for me, a precious moment was all I would require for my tranquility.
It was more than enough.
So after knowing where she works, I went the next day to return her purse which I kept near my heart.
‘Only if she knows that I often embrace the dresses she left in my place like this too, hugging them tightly until a tear reaches near my eyelids.’
Because in the end, no matter how much I hug them, it won’t fill her place, it won’t bring her back, it won’t do… anything.
Sadly.
Nonetheless, following the address, I went to see her and fortunately found her sitting on a bench nearby the school.
Checking the time, she was humming to herself, looking angelic like always. Probably waiting to leave and this was my chance.
Once again, the lost sensations grew, uncontrollable hexation stole my perception as my eyes were compelled to stare. My heart was pounding rapidly against my ribcage as I could feel the dryness.
‘It was like I was falling in love again in my teenage years where I would be afraid to go near a crush of mine.’
Ah, what a memorable feeling.
Got to experience it a little late but at least I did.
“Aalifa,”
Calling her name as softly as possible, I came closer, gaining her attention as she gracefully lifted her gaze.
“Yes?”
She smiled when she saw me. My heart skipped a beat. Thanks to my beard or else I could feel my cheeks becoming heated.
“Um… uh,”
“What is it, Zaviyaar?” She asked politely, smiling not fading, patiently waiting.
What the hell was wrong with me?!
I had spent a whole year with her, as a mistress and wife then why was I becoming nervous now?
“Y-your pur- purse,”
“Thanks,”
Stammering, I mentally cursed myself for sounding so feeble and hastily offered her the purse.
But, was it my fault if words vanished in her presence?
“Um, Were you waiting for someone?” Sparking a conversation to not create a fool of myself further.
“Yes,”
Clearing my throat, I straightened my back, “Who? Oh, sorry, I shouldn’t be asking-”
Chuckling, I paused, failing to comprehend where my words and reactions were leading.
And to immobilize my whole being, she replied with a heartwarming grin.
“You,”
To say I was shocked would be an understatement. The way she radiantly mentioned me, a beautiful shiver went down my spine.
Ceasing my whole being at her one word, I tilted my head in mesmerization, praying I heard right.
“What?”
“I said I was waiting for you. I knew you would come back,” She smiled, rising from the bench and standing before me as I swallowed hard.
Clutching the purse firmly, she looked away timidly and told me, “I knew it would be you. I left my purse deliberately too.”
Leaving me flabbergasted, my mouth gaped, having no idea what she intended to do by testing my delicate feelings, they were already on the verge.
“I know I am vile. Obviously, due to execution the security is too strict here. There was no way anyone would actually offer me a performance.” She ended nervously, scratching the back of her neck.
“Why?”
I hesitated. I was still afraid to hear something unbearable so not getting my hopes high, I attempted to ask slowly.
“Why did you come then?”
Upon witnessing the tentativeness, my perturbation, her lips parted to speak something but she took a pause first and closed her mouth.
Her softness dropped gradually as she became serious.
“Because there is one thing in my heart that I wanted to tell you but couldn’t get a chance.”
‘What more is left to shatter my heart? Were there any more heartbreaking statements left?’ I thought but how could I taunt her and ruin her mood?
So, controlling my mouth, I gave her a vague nod.
Praying desperately that it won’t be anything unbearable, I couldn’t handle more pain anymore.
“Would you like a cup of coffee, Mr. Sheikh? My treat.” She offered politely, vanishing that direness and coming back with her shimmering posture.
Gaining a little hope, I was about to curl my lips in a smile too.
“Sure-”
But since when have I gotten a chance?
Just when we were about to leave, an expensive car stopped before us as an old man, probably in his early-forties came.
“Ah, there you are, Aalifa,” Was he her Uncle?
But, It was clear that his presence, disturbed her as she narrowed her eyes, averting her gaze and getting back from me.
“Ahmer? What are you doing here? Why didn’t you send the driver?” She asked, going to the man, leaving me baffled.
“Nothing, leave it. Let’s go back,” He sighed, placing his hand on her back as I blinked to wonder if I saw right or not.
“Okay.”
She met my hazel eyes again, probably to not meet again, “Sorry, Zaviyaar, I.. have to go,”
To her apology, I was about to accept it like everything else, losing hope again but he scoffed, abruptly pushing Aalifa more to him.
“So you are here with him?”
“And you are, Mister?” I frowned, not liking how roughly he was holding her. I didn’t care if he was an Uncle or not, he should remain in his limit.
“Zaviyaar, he is Ahmer. I..”
She paused, swallowing hard that baffled me as she lowered her gaze with shame, beautifully ruining my dreams.
“I.. have m-married him,”
